Helppppppp I have a Apache XV6700 with the cyberon ba ver 2 cab and deployed microsoft voice command 1.5 and have it working perfectly opening up the audio gateway for a voice command. However when you try to close the audio gateway via the bluetooth earpiece it just stays open unless on the phone you dial a number and then hang up. On my JasJar I don't have this issue, you can open and close the bluetooth audio gateway seemlessly with the earpeace. I am sure its a registry key somewhere. I just havent been able to find it yet... This has been driving me insane for months.
Thanks,
Mike

I am getting a little worried here.
It is advertised everywhere that the xda IIs has voice dial, which to me reffers to me talking into a bt headset and it calls that contact.
If this is not possible, can fonix ispeak sort it?
The device comes with fonix voicedial software, but it does not work through the headset. I have my MDAIII mounted on the windscreen in the car and manage to use voicedial to make calls with over 90% accuracy and then talk through my jabra bt headset.
Which unit do you have PDA2K or IIs? I haven't seen any postings yet comparing the two devices, O2 may have addressed some BT issues before launching the IIs.
I won't have one (IIs, already have PDA2K) till next week.
getting the 2's next week. new officail date is the 15th nov. so should recieve it on the 16th
So what does it take to make this work? is it impossible. Can we not do something?
it take it that this product is using the mic hardware and not bluetooth mic?

Anyone come acrross this before: (scroll down to Kai’s Bluetooth Headset Patch 2004 )
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archives/sep04/bluetooth.asp
could something simular be done on the xda's
Or is this something where only ever going to get to use with bluetooth v2?
read this an help me please

Its good to see progress being made but the main problem still is a hard ware based. The mic and speaker in phone hardware need to be bridged with the ppc... which gets me thinking.....as we can speak into ppc and listen to the caller then once we BT the call it was bridge/switch it.... dont understand why something so simple and a much required feature is missing :?
Hi,
I have installed the trial version of MS command and it seems to be doing the trick... I have a qtek 9090 and I did not see any installed software for voice dialing... Is it only on PDA2K?
Thanks.

MS Command doesn't support bluetooth headsets either.
From the MS blurb: "Bluetooth Headset Support - Voice Command does not support using a Bluetooth headset to initiate a voice command but you can use a Bluetooth headset during the phone conversation."
So its the same as fonix. You have to speak the dialling command into the device, and it only transfers to the bluetooth headset when the device starts dialling out. If you can put up with that, fonix works pretty well.

Well as much as I was looking forward to getting a PDA2K or SX-66, I feel that this is a MAJOR drawback that has me thinking twice. I read that your cannot initiate VOICE calls using a BlueTooth headset no matter what software you are running. Is this accurate?
If so, then why can the Audiovox SMT5600 do it by the way of voice tags?
Thanks,
Frank
Previous ms smartphones and pocket pc phones have not supported the bluetooth handsfree profile which would allow voice dialling. Since the new devices now support it its up to the software developers to implement it in their software. For example, using my SE HBH-200 on my imate PDA2K i can initiate voice dialling on the headset but on the imate there is nothing to interface with. If the Audiovox can do it there is no reason why a more powerful pocket pc cant do it as well
MS Voice Command 1.6 and wm6 (on a dutch T-mobile compact III) does not seem to work...
Any one has this working? Especially caller recognition over Bluetooth.
I’ve tried "MS Voice Command 1.6 (WM6 working) Download", no succes.
Maybe speed dial is interfering…
Is speed dial a ext rom feature?
It's working! This one

and do not forget to start > settings > voice command
Phone > options > Announce incoming calls
Only when I push my jabra BT500 Bluetooth button it opens the phone pad and nothing happens..
Any one know how to open speed dial again with the headset button?
I downloaded this, tried it, it didn't work very well for me, so I uninstalled it. When I tried to go back to using my default Voice Dialing software, all my voice tags were deleted. And the worse part, is that my BT kit does not work correctly now. Some kind of registry edit I believe. This sucks.
can some one post the wm6 default reg settings for:
HKLM
Software
OEM
Voicecommand
Path
I've now:
\Programmabestanden\Bluetooth Voice Command\BTVoicecommand.exe
Here the original

The default value for key HKLM/Software/OEM/Voicecommand/Path = \Windows\SDDialer.exe
Just wanted to post a follow-up.

I finally got this to work yesterday. I installed it on a new ROM and it works pretty good. In the BT Voice Command prog, I had to disable the XCSdM check box to get the issues with the BT channel staying open resolved. Recognition is fair on the handset but it's very good in the car with the Parrot BT kit which is odd. It used to be just the opposite with 1.5. I can now totally control the phone with the car kit which is great for me because that's the only time I use voice commands.
Only downside is that this program is such a memory hog! I hoover around 15 Megs avg. Only 21 Megs available at startup. I'm just using it normally to see if WM6 will be able to manage the memory well enough so that it doesn't make a difference. I use X-Button too so maybe it won't be a problem, but at the first low memory message, I'm dumping this program and going back to Cyberon Voice Dialer.
It's just nice to use while your switching out ROMs cause you don't have to set up voice tags every time.
I have a fully wired parrot and found it awful. Stationary, great, can dial, start programs no probs. But once Im on the motorway doing anything over 40mph it just will not recognise what im saying. Went back to the build in recognition of the parrot which was flawless

Yea, that sounds exactly the way it was for me with v1.5 on WM2003. Had to be completely quiet in the car for it to work. But now v1.6 seems to work fine. Do you have the microphone ACG disabled? Also, do you have all options unchecked in the BT Voice Command prog?
Has anybody managed to successfully re-direct their Trinity BT audio to a non A2DP handsfree kit?
I have tried a couple of the cab's and registry hacks in other parts of the forum with no success.
Bluetooth handsfree works fine, for phone calls.
Main thing i want to do is got my voice command to use my handsfree mic, and not my phone mic....
Be nice to re-direct tomtom too, but that would just be a bonus really.
A2DP Hack
Just got this hack form my friend. & test it's OK on my Trinity... But, it's a bit tricky that only work in .mp3 format. .mwa same.
Ok, that did nothing for my phone.
Do you need to assign the application a button or something?
can anyone post cab for my tp2? thank you
I would like to have this CAB too, missing voicedailing on my TP2
I try this , it work well on mic of phone, but it don't work on BT activate.
CVSD for WM6 v1 2 build 61226 1 cab

How come the bluetooth does not work? is it due to a setting of the phone, or just not possible? because I installed the voice dailer and it works, however when I try to start the voice dailing with my BT headset it does notting. I have to manually call someone. On the diamond, which I had before this one, this worked flawlessly.
So does anyone know anything about this, or should I use a different tool to use voice dialing with my BT headset?

yes, I need to know too.
spend a whole day in cyberspace to solve this problem...this is what worked on my Diamond2 (with WM 6.5 ROM):

Check Registry Settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"VoiceCmdEnable"=dword:00000000
"LaunchAPEnable"=dword:00000000
Hope it helps!
Hey i just got a bt head set and when i push the main button it will only redial or end calls i can not get it to activate voice dialing on my x1. I dont think there is anything wrong on my bt head set i think i am missing a setting on my x1? any help
Hi,I had the same issues but after a lot of messing about I managed to get my Plansonic BT H/S working with voice activation. I used the MS voice software and I had to install a bluetooth interface gateway whos name eludes me but I can find it out if neccessary. All the info is on this forum its just spread over lots of different threads, and I found that even then I had to faff about with various setting to get it to put the audio through the H/S and not the speaker,so you can do it, but it has a tendency to just not work when you want it to so I just press buttons on the phone instead. If you want the gateway sw name get back to me.
