I've read that it is possible to buy a compact flash tv card which can be used with the xda backpack. However the backpack does not work with the blue angel? Is it possible to buy any other tv card for this device?
SDIO cards will soon be available. See this review of this device.
TV on Blue Angel...
Hi! Just a quick note about TV on a Blue Angel. I am watching TV on mine using SlingBox.
http://www.slingmedia.com
They finally released the PocketPC Player last week. Over WiFi this application rox! Will not work over GPRS (at least on T-Mobile's data network). Later this week I'll be trying this applciation on an EDGE network phone to see if there is any improvement in quality.
Enjoy!

I'm finally thinking of parting with my Blue angel as my girl friend got the new Jam and now i'm very very jealous. I'm interested in any reasonable offer or better yet an outright swap for an s110 or a jam with some accessorys.
The phone comes with the latest roms and bluetooth patches installed, also has a 256 sd card with Mobile navigator 5 on it, a rikaline bluetooth gps mouse and a retractible sync and charge cable.
It works 100% but has some scratches on it from constant use.
The phone is T-mobile branded and unlocked to work with any network.
Pm me if you want to make an offer or just want some more info
Hi All,
r there any softwares can support the rogers mobile tv?
It will be funny if u can watch tv throuhg your cell phone.
Thanks
You will still need to subscribe to the service. Unfortunately Rogers wants an arm and a leg for it, and currently they do not support the TyTn.
If you dont mind paying the coin, you will still have to wait for ROGERS update.
Hi all,
I've recently been looking favourably at the TyTN2 handset - I like how it's a HSDPA capable handset with all the bells and whistles like GPS etc.
Now I read of the new Xda Orbit 2 handset!
http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/11/09/o2_xda_orbit_2/
And I'm liking this even more in that it'll 'Probably' be cheaper SIM free and that I think it's going to be pretty much the fantastic size of the current Orbit and crams in 3G and HSDPA !
Anyone know more of it's availability in the UK? the article does say 1st QTR 08 and that it's available in Germany now - but I see nothing on ebay or other online stores as yet.
I think I'm going to wait till it's available rather than getting the TyTN2 which I was very nearly going to do about now ! I'm glad I came across that article!
Cheers all!
Dennis, West London UK!
i think it's based on this http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=159608 which is available from 18th Jan.
From the article:
and the device can now accept Micro SD cards of up to 1GB in size.

The upcoming O2 Xda, the Orbit 2, is the new PDA on the O2 block. Running on the Windows Mobile 6 Professional platform this mobile device has a lot going for it. This includes a 3 Megapixel camera, built-in GPS, a MicroSD memory card slot that takes up to 2GB and mini-USB connectivity. The Orbit 2 also comes with TouchFLO technology, which allows complete touchscreen accessibility along with Bluetooth v2 and WLAN. All of this in a great looking piece of kit!

Did you try the o2 website ? http://shop.o2.co.uk/ComingSoon
You don't have long left to wait my friend.
I got the Orbit 1 in April and love it, but everything in the new one is twice the amount. Twice the CPU power, RAM, ROM.
Says in the quote 2GB, I hope they make this bigger as it would appeal as an MP3 player also, but 2GB is enough.
Only 10 months left until my contract runs out and I can get one of these W00t lol
XDA orbit 2 availability
Saw this and looks like a bargain
Phone cost £60.95
HTC Touch Cruise + O2 300 Connection
version: £45 Monthly, 12 Months, 300 Minutes, 250 Texts

Estimated delivery 10 days although they did orginally say 18th Jan
This tablet is not officially out in Canada yet.
I bought while in the USA. Decided to try the Q remote software and see it is limited to TV brand and cable company box.
TV brand works fine but being in Canada there is no Canadian cable companies to control the box making this feature useless. Is there a way to update the manufacturer code list?

Bell uses the same or similar equipment as Dish (i.e. DiSH vIP622 == ExpressVu 9242) ... for others, you just need to do some googling (Comcast and Rogers used to be the same equipment).
Can I use a US-sourced Fire TV box on a PAL TV? I am going to Germany for 1.5 years and wonder if I can use my current Fire TV or if I have to buy a new one because of the TV format issue.
If you are running HDMI it should be fine I would say.

You will be fine. Fire TV have universal 110-240V power supply and HDMI standard is universal also. I'm and my friends using US-sourced Fire TVs in Russia without any issues.
But that doesn't mean that you can access all officially available content like netflix outside of US.

Nope, there are no problems using US amazon account world-wide. If you buy box directly from US amazon it will be automatically paired to buyer US account during initial startup. But you can re-pair it to any amazon account later if you wish.
I have multiple firetv's on my US account. 4 are in the us, 3 in the UAE and two in India. They all work flawlessly.
I guess I will have to find the European equivalent to the Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router. It has a built-in VPN function so I can me it look like I am in the US.
Thank you for all your help!

I would suggest you buy a router that can use Tomato/DD-Wrt you can configure VPN to have it on 24/7
The R7000 has the VPN client built into the system already so I don't have to mess with DD-WRT/Tomato.

I have the exact same router but I didn't like how slow the R7000 Netgear Firmware is. So I put tomato and am very happy with it.
