BAD PICTURE QUALITY WITH NEW IMATE ROM!!! - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

Dear Friends,
I reliazed that camera picture quality is worse with the new rom...If i compare to the old rom 11382 ,the saved pictures have lots of dots even in daylight...I captured the camera program and its dlls from the old rom and overwrite the new ones but still same results...Any of you experienced the same problem? Btw, the speed is really amazing with this new rom...
Regards and thanks...

[Q] runnymede aio v6 camera effects wont work

hello everyone,
as you can see in title, my problem is that i cant use the new effects of the camera included in the rom..e.g. distortion, vignette, depth of field dont have any effect on the photo, but old effects like black/white, sepia and so on are working fine...
additional info: if zoomed, the taken picture is always corrupted, or rather the right half is corrupted, the rest is still looking normal..and that goes for every htccamera apk i tried, and for every rom i tried...so maybe its a hardware problem?
my question now: is that normal? or am i doing something wrong?
with regards,
jc
ps: is there any working AMAZE camera for htc desire?
The camera in the Rom uis not for Desire and is still in half baked form , so what u are experiencing is rather normal mate
All one can do is hope to get it fixed
Okay i see, thought something like that..
But what i don't get..why do the devs implement the new camera in a desire ROM, although there are no benefits of using it?

[Q] Please sir can you spare some knowledge ;p

OK so I got this phone a few days ago and jumped right in, looking for one main thing in a rom. Good camera. and what I have found from flashing back (starting with) stock 2.2.1 is that the camera rocks. Very quick shot response time and the options are great, along with sharp pictures. But at the same time it was lacking features in the os that you can't live without at this point. ( its been so long since I have used a 2.2.1 ROM like omg) then moved on to stock GB and same UI and speed just crap for
quality, what's up with that. So the natural course is to then move on to CM builds
starting with 7.2 and in this I found everything I wanted an advanced os with a good
camera. The issue with this is that for the life of me I could not enable the shutter
sound so now on to my questions.
#1-In CM7.2 stable how can I enable the shutter sound. ( don't ask why I want it, I'll
just tell you I'm OCD and it was driving me nuts)
#2-Is there a mod for build 9-10 that could give me a type of options UI like that of the stock ROMs such a night mode, Iso selection etc...
#3-Is there a fully working photosphere mod for our device.
#4-What do you all think. What rom gives you the best image quality (x) options and are there mods to make our cameras better.

the only thing makes a difference in image quality on any camera is wether its a megapix camera or VGA camera and how many megapixels.

There is no photosphere mod for our device because of hardware limitations.

The Camera Issues

Hi all
I'm aware there are problems with the M9 camera but looking at mine I can't tell if the problems really are that bad or if I have a bad model.
Are the any decent fixes so far? I'm aware there is a newer build version ( 1.32.651.30 - that include thermal issues and camera fixes ) that those on Android Revolution can't update via OTA yet. Will these be coming to ARHD soon? Anyway to update to this?
The main problems I have is that the images are FAR too soft. This is effecting both the front and back cameras and the images are not crisp like the M7. I don't quite understand why so many are having problems. Is everyone else having these massively soft images? (It's like it's smoothing over the image to reduce noise but it just looks awful and like a 6 year old phone camera)
Thanks
Goto setting then adjust contrast and other details.

OP3: Camera taking really really bad pictures after moving to another ROM

I have a OnePlus 3. I did a full wipe and installed TugaPower. Great ROM and really smooth and snappy. However my camera takes really bad pics: it looks like it's overexposing a colour or applying a filter. I was on stock and then Resurrection ROM before this and no issues there.
So pics will come out really white (even without flash), really foggy like a filter has been applied or in a blue-ish colour. I've reinstalled the ROM, again after a full wipe but same happens. I've tried three different camera apps as welll, all have the same problem. I would say 7 out of every 10 pics are affected this way. A few pics can be found here. I literally took directly after each other. As you can see the quality differs wildly.
I don't think this is a Tugapower issue as no one seems to be having this so posting this here instead.
I cleaned the lense of the camera as well.
Any ideas or tips are much appreciated...
Update: flashed the unified RessurectionRemix ROM and camera is taking nice pictures again.

Try Sultans ROM, still on marshmallow but if you want a camera experience identical to OOS (in my opinion better) and good stability and performance, that's where its at.
I don't get it.. oxygen beta release is better than any ROM you can download here and not lose the camera!
On lineage the pictures are really good

[ROM RELATED] camera

Hi, My OP5T will be arriving in a couple days and I will be modifying it immediately. Personal preference. I was just wondering if there is any differences between the camera on the stock ROM and on a custom ROM? If it's not a massive difference I wouldn't mind.
Much appreciated!
hey, I'm interested in this too. specifically the dots - will they appear in all custom roms due to lacking oos camera drivers?
hope someone can clarify!
thx,
vercetti
Tried both, tried 5 other camera software - none are good enough, returned mine. Remember that you have 14/15 days for the return. Out of the best camera software I found either stock camera in pro mode, or Better Camera with best shot enabled. it takes 3 pictures and selects the best one with least blur - exceptionally useful to compensate for lack of OIS>
