SPV M600 Headphone Nightmare

Hello,
I’m new to this phone and forum, just getting my head round it. First problem I’m trying to tackle is the frankly awful headphones that come with the device.
Trying to find decent 2.5 mm headphones is not easy, I bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter but it’s a bit rubbish and loose and I’m sure it is changing it from stereo to mono. So after hours of research I’ve found some Sennheiser MM50’s. These have an integrated mic and also a 2.5mm 4 pole jack.
Now are these likely to work on my phone as I understand there are different ways that 2.5mm jacks can be wired up?
Thanks in advance.
I guess you will have to try it.
I use some Siedo headphones I got off eBay. They are not brilliant but are better than the supplied ones.
I can't find it right now but I came across this: http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=127646
It's an adpator - that is wired correctly for a HTC 2.5mm sockect and it has a built-in mic. You can plug any 3.5mm headphone jack into it. - Heck - I might get one myself!
Cheers, that doesnt look to bad. I notice that was compatible with the P900 which I think is compatible the Sennheiser MM50’s. So maybe they will be ok.
Do you know if the prophet has a standard 2.5mm 4 pole connector?
Yes, it's the usual 2.5mm 4 pole connector. There doesn't seem to be a "standard" way of wiring them though but the link I gave you should be fine.
It is NOT recommendable, for the Sennheiser MM50 headphones are made for Motorola devices/phones. HTC Prophet appears to have different wiring schema compared to Motorola and the headphones will play only from one channel - unfortunately.
I bought them recently (in spite of warnings on this forum) and was very disappointed to experience this effect. Fortunately however, I was able to give them back to the shop.
I use my old Sony Ericsson P800's headphones and the quality is waaay better. In fact the best non-professional headphones I've had till now were all Sonys.
It has to be Sony.
Have a look at Ebay. Search for SPV M600 and you may find a whole host of accessories. Or search specifically for:
Handsfree Remote/Adaptor for Orange SPV M600/M3000 PDA or
Oasis music adapter for qtek S200, SPV M600, Dopod 830
I have a similar item and it allows me to use any headphones or even connect it to my HiFi. It even has a PTT button and microphone to answer calls - imagine having a phone call routed through your home HiFi!
Hi!!!
Do you know if this one can work with prophet?
http://shop.brando.com.hk/htcstereoconverterwithmicrophone.php
I'm not sure...
i just soldered sony-Groove earpices to it, sounds way better!, modification was pretty easy
Can you post some pics of it?

This one is not compatible with the Prophet. Prophet uses a 2.5mm jack while the newer HTC devices use the mini-USB connection for the headphones. The product in the link that you provided is meant for these newer devices. What you want is a 2.5mm (male) to 3.5mm (female) converter. You can find them at www.expansys.com.

Retractable Headset?

Anyone know of a retractable headset for the HTC P3300? The tangled wires are really annoying me - I had a retractable set with my K-JAM but can't find one for this... Thanks!
Why don't you try a converter and use your k-jam headphones with it,I find the k-jam headsets far better than the orbit.
Already sold the K-Jam headset. Would the microphone and answer button still work? I thought the adapters were audio-only...
Try these?

I have a similar problem... I use some retractable headphones with an adapter, but no hands-free!
Have just ordered some Smartwraps on ebay (ebay for 'smartwrap') - only a couple of quid, may be a workaround?
........I bought one of these:
http://shop.ipodworld.co.uk/iPodWor...P112&ctgry=all_iPods_Headphones&cookie_test=1
and one of these:

I can listen to Pocket player or the FM radio and I don't have to untangle cables. You also get the splitter so next holiday by the pool the Missus can listen too. It doesn't work with the phone but I can live with unplugging to take a call.

Alltel PPC6800 Mogul TITA100 2.5mm Headset Adapter FOUND

Hey all,
Just thought I would post this as I have seen several other threads of people asking how to hook up a normal 2.5mm phone headset to the PPC6800 phone as it has no headset jack. It took some work, and some disappointment, but I did find a solution.
There is an HTC part number SCB6800, which oddly enough HTC has no idea about and does not sell, but UT Starcomm does. It costs about $18.50 from UT Starcomm which is the cheapest source by far. This is a Y-Adapter cable that hooks into your USB port and gives you a 2.5mm headset jack and a power connector. It even has the HTC logo on the cable so it is legit, and it works great.
I tried ordering one of these from an online vendor first and wound up getting an adapter that looks exactly the same except that it had a 3.5mm Headphone jack and a power connector, they also tried sending me a USB to 3.5mm Headset adapter too, telling me both of those were the same item.
But for those of you wanting to just use a good old phone headset that is what you want. If people wish I can post some pictures of the various adapters I ran across for comparison.

Maybe there's some confusion, but where did you find the 3.5mm headset adapter? My 6800 (Mogul) came *with* the 2.5mm headset adapter, but I can't seem to find an equivalent 3.5mm adapter (except for a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, which would just be a pain).

Mini USB to 3.5mm audio ???

I have just got delivery of my Asus P320 Windows smartphone. But unfortunatly i have discovered that there is no 3.5 mm or 2.5 mm headphone jack on it. I am wondering if there are any 5pin Mini USB to 3.5mm or 2.5mm headphone adapters, If not, is there anything i could use with windows mobile 6.1 to get music through bluetooth to a small module which I could connect a 3.5mm headphone jeack to. Thanks for your help.
yes their is a usb to headphone jack you can buy
.... never seen a small module but you can stream your bluetooth to a bluetooth headset
Yeah I already have an expensive set of New sennheiser headphones which i do not plan to replace. they are wired so If i was to go the bluetooth route it would be to get a small module which I can connect a 3.5mm audio plug into to convert it to bluetooth signals to my phone.
But you say You have seen 5pin Mini USB adapters, Any Idea where you saw them and where i can get it from,,,, specifically?

I am using this one
Works great! Just plug in any 3.5mm headset and you even have call handling and mic on it!
hi,is there anything like that ,that would work on iPAQ 614c?
miniUSB dont carry audio
it's like normal usb a serial digital data transfer std.
thats why htc have extUSB which is miniUSB with analog audio in the extre wires
pc headsets or speakers which use usb are really external audiocards which transfer the
digital data into analog sound
as far as I know no device can use en external audiocard unless it support usbHost which pretty few wmobiles seem to do
ok,thanks, then i'll have to keep on "enjoying" the music with headphones i got with device heh

HI I have the same problem. I have an I-mate Ultimate 8150, I bought it used and when I opend the box I realised that the were no head set or charger.
I'm seeking the polish internet for a adapter 11 pin miniusb - jack 3.5 with no results. I bought an adapter for motorola v3 and it isn't working just like a head set for motorola K1 on miniusb.
I-mate 8150 is very similar to XDA Flame and I think that in those models the sound pins are different do the in the HTC models.
I am looking for some 11 pin miniusb schema (the socket is also used to charge and comunicate with computer).
I've seen an adapter on http://www.imatephonestore.com/accessoryDetail.asp?accMDL=AUDIO_CONVRTR
but i think that the price is too high for such a thing.
Maybe some one knew how to make this adapter or how to remake the motorola k1 headset to work on I-mate 8150
Plaese help me I don't now what else to do thanks
get 11 pin to 3.5 mm
even iam using htc
nd in htc we also have 11 pin jack
i saw one very good converter on :- http://www.amazon.com/Touch-3-5mm-S...tionId=1XM1P73VXKBX6ZQPKN02/mixi-20/ref=nosim
however instead of buying that wt i did i bought a erricsson bluetooth enabled headphones they are cool nd free from entangles nd best part is that even my bluetooth have 3.5 mm jack so i can connect with my car.
Well I bought 2 of 11 pin to 3.5 mm headset adaptor convertor for HTC. Though both are working same but little difference make them very unique. First one is Stereo Converter 11pins to 3.5mm adaptor which simply let me to use my Blackberry curve headset with G1. Other one is cool coz it comes with microphone as well answer switch. I am now using my 3.5 mm headset with G1 and also talking and answering from the same headset converter. Its really cool check this our http://www.fommy.com/accessories.as...obile+G1&cat=Headsets&subCat=Headset+Adapters
Cool I just order one for me the Streo headset adaptor with microphone and answer switch. Along with this I also got 3 in 1 USB adaptor. This one comes with 3 ports to connect 3.5 mm headset jack, 11pins to 11pins HTC adapter and USB connected that can be use to sync or charge G1
11pin is no good, Im looking for the 5pin usb which is on the Asus P320, are there any atall, I have already tried buying a motorola one which has the right connectors but does not transmit any sound.
I have the same phone and looking for the same converter
r there any converters specially available for this phone out yet?
I have AKG's and so youre telling me I cant use them even If I get the USB to audio jack adapter? Also In our store this guy connects his phone to the stereo system in the store with a mini audio (banana plug I think) to the system and plays his music of his phone..can the TYTNII do the same?
BTW, even if I could use the AKG headphones it probably would sound so loud as these are high ohms headphones AKG 240MKII..right? any cheap micro sized headphone amps around?
The mini USB port in asus p320 is actually a 10 pin port (5 on top and 5 on bottom). out of them 5 pins are used for audio and microphone. And others are for USB. Hope this information will be useful for searching 10 pin mini USB to 3.5 mm audio.
I've been using this for my xv6900. It works great.
