I have tried to install Goodlink version 4.7 (for WM5) on my Jasjar. Goodlink is a push e-mail service. However, I cannot complete the installation as the text appears compressed and instead of entering a 15 digit pin, I can only enter a 9 digit pin. Does any one know if the resolution on the Jasjar can be changed as this seems the most likely cause as the program runs ok on the KJam?
Good Link 4.7
Hi,
I Have instaled in the Universal using the Package for the Phone Edition 2003, instead of the magneto one.
Regards,
Belaten
Does it work ok? I thought that there were problems when installing as it detected a non approved device.
Can you send me a copy of version 4.5?
4.5 does not work on the Jasjar as it looks for a Windows 2003 device.
GoodLInk
It works if you install the wm2003 one (https://get.good.com/GetGoodLinkPPC.exe). You have to use the OTA setup instead of the cable one.
Regards,
Belaten
Thanks Belaten.
It works perfectly now!
Things I have do
I have set registry changes for the correct one. For example the option "data connection always on" and "Speeding up WM5". Now the PDA is perfect with the goodLink.
I have change the softkey for the GoodContacts and GoodCalendar.
Regards,
Belaten
This no longer works
The link to the 2003 version of Goodlink is broken. Any other ideas for how to get the necessary file?
No, I'm not asking if Orange have released a WM6 ROM, what I'm wandering is now that me and Mozzer have both extracted the Orange WM5 roms from the M700 would it be possible to use the Orange specific parts of this ROM and cook them together with a WM6 rom to create a sort of Orange specific WM6 version?
Might be wishful thinking? I'm asking cos it took me long enough to get the ROM dumping to work, so wouldn't dream of having a go at this!
Hello m8,
Just which "Orange specific" parts are you referring to? Can't say I've even been considering this because I'm actually on Voda as my service provider so been concentrating on removing all the Orange crud that I don't want/need!!
Surely there's really only the Orange today plugin and network specifics plus the ext. rom and possibly the radio rom that are "Orange specific"... all of which are easily swapable??
Giz a bit more idea where you're thinking lies with this request and I'll gladly look into it... Personally I'm still messing around with WM5 speed-up and stabilty issues for my next "cooked" rom release, but being rather a pedant for detail it's taking a while b4 I'm going to release anything and I rather think that Dopod will beat me to it with a "kosher" WM6 release for Trinity which may just blow the current crop of cooked ROM's out the water!
Just my 2 cents worth!
Regs, Moz.
alright Moz,
the bits I was thinking of were the software that Orange give you for free on the phone, but not the crappy Orange today screens etc.. but mainly the files around the user agents and how the phone is identified to Orange on the internet. Mainly to access the Orangeworld website cos its quite good for getting quick football results. If you dont use an Orange ROM and access the site you only get a text version of it, which is one of the reasons I flashed back to my old ROM.
cheers
It would be nice to have:
a) A black model Orange SPV M700 "WM5" Factory ROM (including the standard free software, presets and orange today plugin) for reimaging the phone if required -- as in the very latest version June 2007
b) A black model Orange SPV M700 "WM6" Cooked ROM (including the standard free software, presets and orange today plugin along with HTC TouchFLO & Homeplug) also with office apps such as a Hybrid version of AX3L ROM with LVSW ROM (as the splash is very cool!!) -- as in the very latest version June 2007.
e.g. like here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310102
c) Lastly, it would be nice if someone can do a UK SPV M700 backup tool with an install GUI for backup of your own original Phone ROM onto MiniSD card prior to upgrading/downgrading and then to flash to either UK SPV M700 WM6 or back to UK SPV M700 WM5 all in one installer?

lol you dont want much personally the Orange Rom sucks big time. why anyone would want to go back to it is beyond me. mun, LVSW or AX3L's roms are far superior.
my 2 cents worth.

I want the above - but also a plugin that will let my Trinity order and pay for my beers at the bar. possible?
can you post a link to the default Orange ROM you've extracted for WM5 please? I've been having a play around with the roms available here, but with mixed result - it'd be nice to know I can always flash back to 'old faithful'
Cheers,

Here's a link to a website that has some very useful items. You need to register but then the items are free.
I will attach the orangeworld cab but I cannot take any credit for it, This must be given to Rabdo from 4winmobile. If this is breaking the rules of the forum then I apologise and will remove it.

Try to deactivate HTC's phone skih. The WM6 default skin now have great new options.
Here is the registry change:
Remove operator skin from Phone app
If your device's Phone app is skinned, you can remove by setting:
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Similarly, you can restore it with:
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

I dont know how, or if you can uninstall those programs..look in your system folder under program files, but I dont recall ever seeing those programs in there. I think they are in the extended ROM and would have to be removed before you flash...but I dont know how to do it, or if that information is correct.
I do know, however, that SIP has to do with Voice Over IP - Internet, or WiFi calling. Thats all I know on that subject, not a feature I ever got excited about.

First; the calculator can NEVER be removed (it's part of the WM Operating system).
For the Voice speed dial i'm not sure, but you can remove apps that were installed from the EXTended ROM by doing a hard reset, and then immediately do a soft-reset as soon as the 'customisation-process' starts (that's what loads apps from the extended rom to your device, and so you skip that).
HOWEVER: as there may be some customisations in there that are needed for good operation on your network, you do this at your own risk...
But let's talk shop... (on-topic)
I've got a Trinity with an official Dopod WM6 ROM on it, and now i am looking for upgrading my friends Artemis...
So i wondered if there are any issues with this ROM, and how exactly all of you flashed this on a different CID device (my Friend 's got a Dutch (NL) Artemis)... So far i have found out that apparently the Artemis has to be CID unlocked completely before flashing different CID ROM...or are there hacked bootloaders out there that work too...?
Sorry for asking a question that may have been answered before, but an Artemis is just not my native device as you understand...
Search for USPL, its a hacked bootloaded that makes it possible to load any rom onto your device.
no issues so far, rock solid stability. faster performance than the black and blue rom as it doesnt include all the added junk
I don't understand why you should "upgrade" to radio 1.47, when 02.69.90 is in this ROM..?
Yes! WM6 is on my Orbit - going to remove the horrible green HTC dialpad.
However the SIP/VoIP stuff is missing from the WWE rom
Could somebody please check if this ROM includes Czech regional settings?
Czech is in the list in Regional Settings

About the only way to remove those particular apps would be to cook your own ROM, resetting before customization might get rid of Voice command and Clearvuew PDF, but I am not sure. I have contemplated cooking my own version of the official 3.5 ROM to get rid of Voice Command and ClearVue but it has not been worth the effort yet. Maybe once the official HTC ROM comes out. I install too many programs to make me want to flash regularly.
Thank you Janetpanic
Dear Tom:
I like your 3.7 version, but, this is very slow (3.5 is mor fast)
I like a New ROM within apps (Not clean, please), but with:
ArcsoftMMS
AudioManager
Office 2007
BT_FTP
HTC Camera 4.11 (From HTC Touch)
HTC Home
QuickGPS
ShareDLL
TaskManager
Sim manager
VoiceRecorder
NetworkWizard
Esmertec Jbed
StreamingMedia
More Themes (I got various themes ;-)
Calendar today o secretary calendar (see WM6 for wizard)
Speed dial today (see WM6 for wizard)
Messeges today
Touch Flo (but optional)
Thank you
Is this Rom Working on HTC P3300? Is Italian Language support?

Hello all,
I am using the latest PDAViet WM6 ROM.
It does not come with the Transcriber built-in which I use a lot.
I tried installing a Transcriber CAB from a Hermes Black Majic (only 827KB?) add-on RAR but once installed the transcriber does not appear as a choice for inputting data.
Can someone point me to a Transcriber CAB that works with WM6 on the Trinity? (Or conversly tell me the steps I need to take to activate the one I already have - registry edits etc.)
Thanks in advance.
Gareth
PS: PDAViet is working very well on my Trinity. I was waiting for an official HTC upgrade but I am glad that decided to install this ROM
A Post for all the cabs
This is the post you want. here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308931&highlight=cabs
or if not here for sure:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-308057.html
try searching with google - advanced search and include results only from http://forum.xda-developers.com and you're sure to get a hit. It saves cloggiing the forum up with now posts.
If you have difficulty finding the cab - PM me and I'll post it - just I haven't got access to my trinity now - and the cab is on the device.
Thanks
The Transcriber listed on that thread worked perfectly.
Gareth
