This rom is nothing to do with me. I have not installed it, and will not vouch for its credibility. It is the rom that was originally uploaded here
The author of this particular compilation is still unknown AFAIK.

Now it's out, I can stop biting my tongue and tell everyone how great Crossbow is on the Universal
Just a note about themes, the base hue method works on Crossbow too, but obviously uses a glass effect with dark edges, and a lighter middle.
iLauncher and PocketPlus are the best plugins if you want icons AND battery meters.
There is a MAJOR issue I have found with most of the free battery meter/memory meter plugins, batti works, but most of the others will hang on reboot, even if you have safe mode apps, so hard reset is the easiest fix.
Much appreciated!
(Why, oh why do I have meetings to go to for the next 4 hours )
Ah, great
Thanx
Thanks
Thanks for this.
So i'm assuming..someone with an MDA can't install this right? I just realized it was for the universal after getting a no country id error..i see there might be a fix with it..but im scared of bricking. I just got my 8125 on 3.2 aku from molski...
It is for the Universal.

wrong rom for that device..you will have to wait like every one else.
Ah, midget, now I understand re RealVGA. I'll try to work on your app in the next few days if that's ok.
V
Thank you! Thank you!
You definately saved my day!
So far everything that I use works ok; utms, directpush, a2dp. A bit slow startup compared to most AKU3.5 builds.
Thanks again!
im so keen to try this lol, but i think ill wait for a more stable fully working version!
anyone any ideas when / if we will get a final build?
Can somebody check me if storage card encryption is working in this version ?
Thanks
I saw an other version and I couldn't make that thing work
* Native HTML e-mail is nice, no need for FlexMail
* Remote Desktop Connection works superb, save username/pw, fullscreen, specify port.
Eelco
Downloaded and installed midget's cab file for vga and it looks great! Will install my apps and see how stable this ROM is.
This ROM is the BuuuuuuuM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I love it. 99% of the applications I use work 100%. Its a bit slow but it works thats what matters. I also miss MMS.
This absolutely rocks... so much faster than the stock T-Mo ROM, Pocket Word flies, bluetooth stereo by application, html mail, etc., etc.,
MMS
just updated my rom, great but does anyone know how to set up MMS, (does sound like a stupid question to me) I've added all the other O2 grps connections...
Hi all
i'm an engineer doing R&D for Leaf Wireless in South Africa. We supply wireless solutions and HTC phones to Africa.
i'm going to Taiwan to meet and recieve training from the HTC engineers from monday the 12th. And since i've received so much help from XDA developers in the past i thought i'd offer.
if there are any customisation questions you have or HTC issues that are proving difficult to solve post them here. i'll ask the guys when i get there and try get some answers.
cheers,
Greg
hmm this thread sounds like it could take off.
i dont think you know what you got yourself into supaspud. i know lots of people are going to have questions and suggestions for htc.
i for one would like to see them implement a wheel mouse not unlike the one in the danger sidekick 3. that would make wm experience 100 times better.
also ask if crossbow will officially be released as an upgrade for the wizard.
when i think of more questions or suggestions ill reply again
?Why don't they make a full size (3.5" or whatever) screen in a cdma with more memory. Hell it doesn't even have to be vga. I use mine as a pda, if I wanted a tiny screen, I'd just get a damn phone.

Save yourself the bother. It would be up to the telco's to decide on releasing an official update and they would then pay HTC to build the rom. Expect that to happen about the same time as the telco's decide to donate all their profits to third world charities.
It's not a telco thing. If you are refering to the companies who re-brand the HTC machines (most of whom are not telcos) the decision will be based mostly on whether HTC will actually supply the ROM and at what cost if any. They would have a fairly good idea about what they are going to do for some machines as they own one such company that retails their machines (Dopod). Find out about possibility of Artemis crossbow ROM if you can
Linux
It would be interesting to get their opinion on Linux on the HTC platform, and whether they would consider contributing to the development of a well rounded Linux based phone environment.
Yes, their opinion on linux would be good to know
Ask if they have any future plans to support it officially.
Ask them what (apart from soldering the chips on and editing the rom file for memory alocation) needs to be done to make 128mb of ram work on UNIVERSAL (it origionally had it, so the motherboard supports it and it can work
Hello Leaf Wireless
Well, well Greg, I thought that Leaf would not come out of the closet.
I have been the source of information till now, but now please take the stage.
A few months back I introduced a few of your staff to the XDA site.
I am now and then fed tit bits of information which I share on the forum. The ROM 1.35 update is a good example.
There are some clever guys here and we can all all learn together.
The problems I raised with Renier was:
1. Storage card getting lost in Media Player
2. Windows 5 is full of unresloved problems, with the BT stack poor.
3. Battery life on 3G is shocking. I have upgraded to 1.27 to see if things improve.
4. I have an Email from Dan Mackie @HTC Eupope stating that an Major ROM upgrade would be released at the end of January 2007, "to resolve all known issues on the TyTN". Nothing has happened yet!
The issue with the storage card was a known issue and I was informed at the end of September that it would be sorted with the next upgrade.
It hasn't happened yet but I have noticed that the TyTN's that you have received do not have this problem.
Please feel free to contact me should you wish.
Enjoy the trip and let me have a copy of the new ROM before you leave.
Regards
A wish list would be for the keyboard have some kind of a lock to prevent it opening when retrieving from the pouch. I find that I often drop call on closing the keyboard.
The magnets in the pouch are also troublesome and cause screen rotation and also dropped calls at times when rotating back.
GPS in the Hermes
What component of software (hardware??) is missing in the Tytn compared to the Trinity to make the GPS work.
Thanks
Francisco
PS. My first post, and I would like to thanks all the excellent XDA-developers community for this great forum.
@SupaSpud: Tell them to produce a Hermes with VGA screen and GPS and 256Mb ROM, RAM....
Thanks.

Several people have already asked this question:
- How can we install 128Mb RAM on Universal?
HTC never replied.
sheesh...
wow... looks like I opened up pandora's box. i'm making a list of all the queries and i'll ask them on monday. keep em coming...
ps: i'll find out bout the rom now.
Hey SSpud - gr8 offer !
1. I''d like you to ask why they dont set the default Bluetooth (a2dp) to Stereo (and the bit rate / max bit rate to 40+) ... and generally fix stereo BT.
2. How do they acvtually work with customers (eg BT in the UK) .... I get the inpression they are extremely slow and unresponsive.
2. Camera - if even cheap sony ericons can have autofocus and macro settings why cant HTC ?
3. Stereo Jacks (3.5 or 2.5mm)
4. Direct access to microSD card
5. When will they update their FAQ's and trouble shooting guides beyond the patronising " check that it is turned on type " answers.
Thanks for this oportunity !!
(I'm especially intersted efor Artemis/ XDA orbit)
Hello 'Spud,
Apart from sorting/mentioning the listed problems here - especially the poor bluetooth stack IMO - please do bump the question regarding their future GPS roadmap for TyTN/Hermes series of phones.
Now that will make a true convergence of technologies.
Kind regards,
Mine is a small and trivial request... could they please please please fix the battery meter on the hermes... the [email protected] +/- 10% drives me nuts... wish we could get the +/- 1% like the other devices.

Tell the guys at HTC to watch the XDA-Developers site to find out what's wrong with their phones and what features are needed to turn them into great devices - remember the IPhone is comming!
Basil
Tell them not to save cents in devices that cost hundred of dollars. For instance they use cheap and weak cpus like samsung (which has only ARMv4T) ot OMAP with it's low clock frequencies. Or they save memory and instead of using 128MB or more RAM! RAM is cheap! I'd like to see smaller touchscreen displays with VGA resolution! Look at the size and resolution of some nokias: E60 or E70. I'd like to see hermes (device with foldable keyboard) with gps, 624MHz intel cpu, 128MB RAM and 2.2 inch touchscreen in the near future!
YES! Tell them about this forum! Tell them not to do stupid things in locking their devices - this simply reduces their markets!
And tell them that maybe it is about time to see their x86 UMPC! Look at the sony vaio UX180P or UX280P!

I'm not exactly sure of what you mean about the wheel mouse. You mean like the one the Artemis has?
As for crossbow going onto the Wizard... i don't think that'll happen. But i'll double check.

I can't say too much, but if the rumour I heard is true, you might get something like that in the second half of this year. *wink-wink, nudge-nudge*
Hi,
I am sure you've been discussing this topic million times, but I'm new in this forum and I'd like to get a good idea on subject PDa's.
In few weks I will buy one, I don't need at all UMTS, on the other hand I may find GPS very useful (I've read, in this forum as well, that P3300's GPS is more performing than P3600's); for this reason I'm heading towards P3300, but I heard that many are complaining about the processor (200 vs. 400 Mhz).
Any suggestion?
Part from processor (is it really a great problem to have 200 Mhz on P3300?) and UMTS, which are the main differences between these models?
How is it possible? More than 120 persons read this post and nobody wasl able to tell me the major differences between P3300 and P3600 part from UMTS, processor and GPS?
Because the information is right in front of you, on this site and on millions of other sites.
Look at all the different bits of info and make your decision from there! No-one is going to come here to tell you what to buy.

Thank you very much for your aprreciated kindness; then if you tell me where is "in front of you" I will be even happier; is it too difficult, or are you too intelligent to show me that? Don't you think that maybe in the world there's somebody who's not as expert as you and needs suggestions? Is it a too deep thought for you?
I don't need anybody telling me buy this or buy that, just if there are other differences part from the ones I cited.
there are loads of threads discussing this topic in both forums.
use the search!!
also, why don't you go into the stores and try out the devices for yourself! i too thought the p3600 was gonna be for me but once i tried them side by side the orbit was much more appealing.
go search.
Have you head, fingers and eyes? SEARCH! Do you read? READ!

Just copy and paste this "P3300 vs. P3600" in search and you will find the answer.
Size, Number of buttons, bus frequency, CPU, Jog Wheel, GPS, FM-radio,RollR, GSM, UMTS
Advantages of 3300: 1.better GPS chip and preinstalled quick-GPS 2.FM-radio, though it's sensitivity is very low 3. It has more hardware buttons, it's convinient as U can preset them as U wish. 4. Small size is the best it's value.
Advantages of 3600: 1.CPU-400Hz, 2.Bus frequency is 32Hz, not 16, therefore it is much faster 3.Jog-wheel and additional OK-button on side 4. it's more suitable if you gonna use several tasks at a time.5. UMTS might be useful in close future 6. Joystick is more habitual, more reliable(I have already had my RollR repaired though I possess my gudjet for couple months), and more usefull in games etc.
However, it's up to U to decide. If I were U, I would choose Trinity, in my opinion it is more modern
It's pretty simple. The 200 Mhz CPU is main disatvantage of the P3300. On the other side: If you don't play heavy 3D games it doesn't really matter. The P3300 is fast enough for everyday Windows work and navigation. For me the P3600 is a design desaster. The plastic looks really cheap. Just try both devices and make your own mind about them
cpu on p36 is not much faster. you can not compare p33 and p36 cpu because it is two completely different technologies. crappy gps chip on p36. crappy design.
buy it, use it for few days, and surely you will come back to store and change it to another device
Yes I agree. Samsung and Omap Platforms are not comparative through the CPU core frequency.
-----------------------
One small note. 16Hz and 32Hz? It won't be a Hz. Do you think BUS width in bits perhaps.

It's common knowledge around forums to use search first and then ask questions. If not you get numerous threads asking the same question over and over again.

There are lot of tests in net carried out by numerous softwares confirming the fact the gudgets based on OMAP are very slow...though there exist battery status...
cosinusx
You're right, 32 bits width in 3600 and 16bits in 3300

One important thing left unsaid is that 3600 supports mini SDHC cards on customized WM6 ROMs made by lvsw and mun. There are sdhc drivers for Trinity&WM6 OS. As to 3300, it is yet unclear if it gonna support sdhc format or no. Ciao.

Why I like the P3300:
I like the HTC Rollr, its much more effective than a normal navigation pad if you want to scroll through lists very fast. Of course you can change the rep. speed of your nav pad manually in the system settings but you would have to change back and forth if it is too fast or slow. Also the Rollr-Ball doesn't make any sound if you go into any direction, sometimes usefull for me not to make any clicking sounds. Disadvantage is that you can not press and hold into any direction, for example for playing certain games.
The screen is also very good, brighter than my old Ipaq rx3715 which is already pretty bright. Eight hardware buttons on the front are excellent for handling the device. Only the GSM sound sucks sometimes, I hear mainly low frequencies but this applies only to half of my phone calls, I think mobile to mobile, but don't rely on that info.
The only thing that really sucks is that the Micro-SD card is under the battery and even under the SIM card. The CPU power is low but not too low for me, I'm not playing too much any more. The P3300 is a business phone and not a gaming device, I think they designed it for that purpose and did a pretty good job.
What I like about the P3600:
It has Mini-SD instead which is available at 4 GB much cheaper than Micro-SD and the car-jacket is outside and not under the battery. So I could swap my cards if I had this.
Only other thing I would want is the 400 Mhz processor, I don't care for UMTS at all.
What sucks about both devices:
No standard headset plug.
I bought the P3300 only because I knew that Win Mobile 6 was going to be released for it. If I knew that the P3600 would have it too I'd probably have taken the P3600. Now I only regret having the P3600 because I can't swap my memory card quickly, besides that there is nothing bad about it.
Hi,
I want to make some applications for WP7.
Design and idea is not the problem... the real problem is developping, writing, programming... wich leaves me blank out of the game...
I allready have some designs for games or applications, just need someone or some people to help putting the app or game to work / run on WP7
If interested please PM.
I have a background in design, and graphics.

Hello, I'm looking for someone to start a company with. I have an idea but no money or aspiration. I just need someone that can do all administration and other work. My idea is ready and i can draw a picture of an elephant to promote it, so that's no problem at all. I also went to school once.

There is a new WindowsPhone 7 developers forum managed by MVP's. Soon they will post, samples and info about Windows Phone Development.
Should be a good start in the future :
http://www.windowsphone7developer.com/
Although I found a lot of humor in this, I also felt somewhat annoyed by the poster's question. My honest answer is to start the way everyone else starts.
Option 1:
Learn through Google, Wiki, forums, and Ask.com tutorials.
Option 2:
Mess around with Visual Basic until you can write what you want.
Option 3:
Take classes
A hint is that if you don't understand the concepts after the first two options, give up. It either comes to you or it doesn't. Don't waste money on classes because you'll also have to take math classes (I'm guessing that you don't learn useful math in graphical design).
Hope I have helped.
Regards,
Anthony

Hello;
I'm planning an event and I want to do a game to brake the ice where guests look at other people's old photos (when they were kids) and try to guess who's who. The easiest way to do this would be with an app. To keep developing costs down, we'll have a couple of tablets for people to use (the photos will be printed and displayed) so we don't need an app that works with everyone's phone. Just one single model of Android tablet. Much easier to debug.
I haven't found any website that provides a platform for this game, but it looks to me that the code for a simple kids learning game like "Match the animal's photo with the name" could be easily recycled into the app that I'm looking for. Anyone interested? What do you guys think that it would cost to develop something like this?
I realize this may not be the best area for this post. Any suggestions on where to post it would be appreciated!
