Has killed ROM end STORAGE!!!!!!! HELP!!!! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I ask the help and a pardon for English. A problem such, I have opened the Extended ROM 1.40.176 and have removed from there all patches, a post of it{this} by means of program Repart DOC have made 128êb. After that at me storage became 60 Mb. The pleasure last not long as after SR storage was gone)) HR and reinstallation rom do not help{assist} . 2003 Win about 3 % are put and there is a mistake{an error} 113. WM5 patch3 is put but system multi-coloured strips are not loaded, show only. At me i-mate PDA2K.[/b]

[EDIT] OOPS double post 8)

WOW, your english was hard to understand, but there int he end, first time i installed the first version of WM5 for BA i resized my ExtRom , after i downgraded back to 2003se, i had the same problem, i cant quite remember what you need to do, but you need to use that repart.doc tool again and resize the ExtRom again big enough!.
without doing this your ext rom is not big enough to hold the cab files so you need to resize to bigger size storage space.
ill have a look for the size you need to do it.
but have a look on the wiki in the blue angel section, you will find all answers to your questions.... 8)

Below is how to Downgrade a WM5 Rom to the Latest Offical Rom (Currenty 1.42)the part you need to take note of is the highlighted bold on how to format the Ext Rom.
Downgrade Instructions
* First please save all your data, cause you will lose everything!
1.
Locate the Downgrade software
* If you followed the Wiki instructions you will find the files in "??Your_DIR??\Downgrade to WM2003SE" folder.
* Else Download the BA WM5 Downgrade pack.
* Unrar (UnZip) it with WinRar.
2.
Download your favorite WM2003SE ROM
* Download rom from Available Original Shipped ROM Versions
* Extract the files (Unrar / Unzip) from the downloaded *.exe
* Copy nk.nbf from the 2003SE ROM to the "??Your_DIR??\Downgrade to WM2003SE" folder.
3.
Prep your WM5 device by formating Storage and Hive.
*
Press Power + Softreset, and when the colored stripes (well, this is the bootscreen )shows on the screen.
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc.
o Quickly press Record+Camera before the versions appears at bottom right
o OR, press Power+Softreset+Camera+Record at the same time.
If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66
o Quickly press Record+Windows Media before the versions appears at bottom right
o OR, press Power+Softreset+Windows Media Player button+Record at the same time.
* Either way mentioned above should work.
*
You'll see three options; change the second and the third to "yes".
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc.
o You can do that with the camera and the record buttons.
If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66
o You can do that with the Windows Media Player and the record buttons.
* If you are done, press the mail button, it'll show a white screen for a while, just wait.

8.
Setup your device
* Follow the instructions on the screen.
9.
Setup Activesync Partnership on your PC.
* Put your device into the cradle
* Pair and but don't sync your device.
10.
Evaluate if you need an Extended_Rom on your CE2003
* IF you have NOT resized your Extended_ROM on the upgrade to WM5 and had 43MB Storage go to B) or C)
*
IF you will not be needing the Extended_Rom on your SE2003 as you install the cabs by hand and would like to use that space as storage then go to D)
A) Creating a Exteneded_Rom (16MB Default)
o If you did resize your storage and had over 43MB (60 was default) on your WM5 Device
o You will need to create a Extended Rom that is at least 16MB
o This will fit any Exteneded roms (ms.nbf) that you would like to flash back or any coooked versions.
o You will have your Extended_ROM back, however it will be seen forever
(You can not lock it once you've unlocked and resized it cause the resizing tool resets the Extended_ROM password.)
o Copy Repart_DOC.exe from the "Preparation\DOC repartitioning tool" folder to your device and launch it.
o Set size to 16348 (should this be 16384?? 16*1024=16384)
o Press "Format now!" and wait until it is done (A few seconds). You will see a message that it is done.
o Soft reset.
o Choose option B) or C)
B) Flashing back the Extended Rom
o Copy ms_.nbf to the "Downgrade to WM2003SE" folder (you Must delete nk.nbf)
o Now, repeat steps 5-7.
o Skip the rest, go to 11
C) Copying a cooked version of the Extended Rom (Custom Files)
o Copy the Cooked Cabs to the Extended_Rom folder on your device
o Insure that you have the correct version autorun.exe and config.txt
o Soft reset
o Skip the rest, go to 11
D) Using the Extended rom as storage space.
o If you want to use the Extended_ROM space as added storage space on your CE2003
o Copy Repart_DOC.exe from the "Preparation\DOC repartitioning tool" folder to your device and launch it.
o Set size to ??
o Press "Format now!" and wait until it is done (A few seconds). You will see a message that it is done.
o Soft reset.
11.

I have the same problem with my XDAII. After I set up the no-Yes-Yes, I can't find the mail button. Actually, I tried every button and none works.
Can you tell me how to do this?
Thanks!

Cant find the mail button?
XDA II is not Blue Angel or BA... there's some instructions here about that Andes(XDAII)/Himalaya.

a little help on upgrading...

dear ladies and gents,
i am new to this forum; i have been using my xda2 for 2 years now and i am more or less up to speed on the how to's. but i have a question on upgrading to wm2005. i deeply apologize if this topic has been discussed before and now here i am again bringing it up...but hear me out first.
i have downloaded ALL the files needed to upgrade to wm2005; the roms (version c) from buzz.net, the ramdisk, doctools, even the skins. so far i know only the following steps (i got this from xda2jojo's downloads). everything.
--------------------
5. Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
6. Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.
Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".
7. Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe
8. Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
9. Detach your device from the cradle.
10. Now you have to hardreset your device.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts.
-----------------------
i have successfully done this already but the storage is low. i have done reading and browsing on expanding the storage to 30-plus mb using ramdisk and the doctools. i would like to ask for assistance on how to use these. i read in this forum that you have to use doctools first? it is a little confussing.
please advise how to use these 2 tools together with the steps mentioned above.
again i apologize in advance because i know that this topic has been discussed so much.
pietro
you need to (got this from the forum):
1. Downgrade to WM2003SE (2.06 ROM) via PC method
BUT if you're already running WM2003SE then you don't need to do step one. But at the very least I think your ROM should be 2003SE.
2. Install Extended_ROM Unlocker
3. Unlock the Extended_ROM (but don't click unhide)
4. Copy the Hima_DOC_Tool.exe to the Temp folder on the device
5. Run the Hima_DOC_Tool.exe
6. Perform a soft reset only (not hard reset)
7. Checked the new size (30.07M
8. Upgraded to WM2005 (1.60b.96) via PC method
it worked for me. you may want to also refer to this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28801
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewforum.php?f=42
these will more or less answer other concerns you might have.
in my case i didn't use ramdisk...but it worked well for me and i'm still using wm2005.
cheers
rob
IT WORKED!
Thank you very, very much for your post! After some experimentation I was finally able to solve the storage problem based on the guide you gave me!

xda 2s, freezing

I just bought a o2 xda 2s on ebay.
I was wanting a pocket pc phone that i could hook up to a serial port device I use at work.
The phone works great so far but when i installed the program i use at work everytime i try to load a file it freeze's while trying to load file. I have used this program on HP pda's with not 1 issue. Just wanted to have a all in 1 handheld unit.
Currently this is what I have:
Model: ph20b Pocket PC
wm2003se
version 4.21.1088 (build 15045.2.6.0)
rom version 1.40.00 WWE
rom date 3/10/05
radio version 1.12.00
protocol version 1337.42
ext. rom version 1.40.242 WWE
What would make it freeze like it does, only with this program, and can i upgrade to wm5 (how?). Are there any other upgrades you know would make it more stable a fix the freezing issue?
This is the first pocket pc phone i have had so i have no idea as to what, where and how to start fixing.
Thanks for any help you guys may provide!!!!
For WM5 look here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM5_Home my signature shows what Rom I use. I find it good. I don't what could be causing the freezing. What is the program?
Here is a link to software im using.
http://www.racetech.com/SubMenu.asp?cMenu=11&c=Yes&cSubMenu=92&showPage=da
I have read the info on ba wm5 rom and still dont know how to install. i use a pc to check email and thats it, so im a little new to this stuff.
Can someone help step-by-step me through this a little
do i need a sd card as i don't have one. to update to wm5
The phone is new and i dont' have any data on it that i need.
Thanks Guys
I have downloaded the following file on my PC Desktop.
Helmi_wm2k5_aku3.2_32mb (rar file)
I extrexcted it in its own new file and now have the following files.
1)extrom
2)AddOn
3)ph20b
4)ph20b1
5)wm2k5_aku3.2_32mb_v1.3.2
6)Helmi_aku3.2_v1.3.2.txt
what next?
Yes you would need a SD card you can get a 1gb really cheap on ebay and then you can store programs etc on it.
Well I must confess I haven't done it I bought mine of ebay with WM5 on it already. The fellow I bought mine off will upgrade other units for $150 AUS I think. If you aren't in Aus he still would proberly do it.
i got wm5 in an exe file from www.buzzdev.net i think and all i had to do was put my xda 2s in boot loader mode stick it in its cradle and run the file easy peasy
you DO - NOT need an SD card (i did it , i dont have one)
here is the guide to install
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Helmi
i DID NOT DO THE OPTIONAL INTERNAL MEMORY BIT
Copy the nk.nbf file to folder that match ur device (PH20B/PH20B1)
* Determine your operator Information e.g.: "T-MOB101", or "Vodafone", or O2. See GetDeviceData.
* Open a command prompt, (open "run", type cmd , press enter), go to the folder where the ROM(nk.nbf) file resides (mine is c C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\pda\oprade\Helmi\PH20B - notice the c is the command) and execute: SetOperator ??? (where ??? is your operator , mine was SetOperator ORANG001)
# Put your device into Bootloader mode by pressing and hold the "Power" & "Record" buttons, and then press the Reset Button
# Connect the phone to the sync cable/cradle.
# Now you can upgrade the ROM using BaUpgradeUt.exe(i used this one) / MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
#
When the upgrade is completed, you must perform a Hard Reset
1.
Press and hold the "Power" button, and then press the Reset Button. Colored stripes (the bootscreen) will appear on the screen.
*
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc, EITHER:
o Quickly press "Record" & "Camera" before the versions appear at bottom right
o OR press "Power" & "Camera" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time
*
If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66:
o Quickly press "Record" & "Windows Media" before the versions appear at bottom right EITHER
o OR press "Power" & "Windows Media" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time
2.
You'll see three options on screen. You must change the second and the third to yes. If you are not developing/testing software you can disable the first debug option for better performance.
* If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc, use "Camera" and the "Record" buttons.
* If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66, use "Windows Media" and the "Record" buttons.
3. Press the "Mail" button. A white screen will show for a while, while it is clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing
4. When the bootscreen, aka. the colored stripes is displayed, wait more, you are booting. The welcome screen to set up your device will appear shortly ...
once done copy what you need (i installed all the fixes etc) from the extrom folder to your ppc and run them to install them (once done delete the cabs)
*note doing this way you will need to setup your gprs and mms settings for your network*
Ok I'm going crazy. Where in the heck do I find setoperator.bat??
Thanks

How To Downgrade O2 Stealth to WM5 (SDcard method)

this is my very first time starting a thread (need half an hour to figure it out) lol
please... be easy to me.
due to many friends here asking how to downgrade an O2 XDA Stealth to original WM5, i'm trying to find a way... and this is it...
1. download original Stealth WM5 ROM from:
http://www.myxda.com/xda-stealth_servicemenu.aspx#software
choose your country, then next...next...next... till the link for downloading appeared.
2. run the file you've download, click next...
notice the path where the file extracted to. in my laptop it is:
C:\Documents and Settings\dr. Ghozali\Local Settings\Application Data
3. you'll find a new folder named "DSUU"
open that folder, and there will be:
CUSTFILE (folder) ==> this is the extended ROM
DSUU.exe (hidden)
gbcall.nb0 (hidden) ==> this is the WM5 ROM you wanted so badly...
GbcFormat.dll (hidden)
GbcFormat.exe (hidden)
UpdateRom.exe (hidden)
let's see... there is 5 hidden file inside "DSUU" folder, so.. make sure you've already set ur PC to show hidden files.
4. copy the "CUSTFILE" folder and the "gbcall.nb0" to a less than 1G FAT formatted MiniSD.
don't forget to edit the properties of "gbcall.nb0" (uncheck the hidden option)
5. insert ur miniSD to ur Stealth, then power off
6. push the "Green" and "Red" button (hold it) then power ON ur Stealth
... u'll be going to O2 Logo (for about 3-5 seconds)... then the update progress will start.
7. be patient... it will need about 20-25 minutes for a complete flash.
if the flashing process was succeeded ur stealth will automatically soft reset.
wait until the "Tap Here to setup your device" appeared
8. do a HARD RESET
how to???
==> push and hold the "windows" and "OK" button, then poke the soft reset hole with ur stylush.
Welldone....
you've downgraded ur O2 Stealth to original WM5
p.s.
i've already tested on my Stealth and it works 100%
*note:
please make sure your battery was fully charged before doing this downgrade process.
i'm sorry for my bad english...
i am Indonesian
by the way,,
if u want more space, u can just flash the gbcall.nb0
no need to flash the Custfile folder. but.. of course, there will be some appllication missing. e.g. the operator setting.
well.. please report any problem or any succeeded with this method, so we can learn together.
thanks for the info mas...
i've been stuck last time flash to wimo 6.1..the problem is can't read the CUSTFILE..
at last now with ur advice my stealth already normal to wimo 5..
Thanks brader....
I've downgraded my O2 stealth back to winmo 5
Thanks for the info
anyone have other link for rom xda stealth wm5??

Asus Mypal A6x6 WM6.5 rom version 1a (4-4-10)

I wasn't expecting to do this, but I had a 2 hour delay at my college due to snowy weather, so I decided to take the time to upload my 1st official WM6.5 rom for the Asus A6x6 early. Keep in mind that this rom is far from perfect and the fancy new WM6.5 today screen is not working (looks like the today screen from WM6/6.1).
Thanks to Makuu (for helping to get me started), Lenny, AstainHellbring (thank you for all the nightly help sessions), the creators of the tools I used to make this rom, and anyone else that I failed to mention in name who gave me the knowledge to complete this rom.
Asus Mypal A6x6 WM6.5 version 1a
Windows CE version 5.2.21234 (Build 21234.5.0.1)
This was tested on an Asus Mypal A626 (and works). It should work with the A686/A696, but the other models were not tested. Any other models not metioned above WILL NOT WORK.

download: http://www.easy-share.com/1909744620/Asus_A6x6_WM65_1a.rar
At this time, this will be the only download link. Mirrors will be created in the future (after I give permission).
Instructions (I have included a txt file with same instructions for offline convenience)
Before you do anything, make sure you have at least a 256mb SD card and a card reader (you can get one at a place like Radio Shack or Office Depot). You also need to install winrar (found at http://www.win-rar.com/download.html). Your SD card must be formatted with the FAT16 file system.
To format your SD Card with the FAT16 file system
Step 1: To do this insert the SD Card into the reader and go to "My Computer".
Step 1a: BACKUP YOUR FILES before you start!!
Step 2: Right-click the drive letter of the SD Card reader (differs for each computer, probably either E:\ or F:\ or G:\) and click "Format".
Step 2a: Don't worry about any of the options except for file system, choose "FAT"
Step 3: Click "Start" and wait until it is done
Step 1: Get (OS) rom image
Step 2: Extract files to any folder on hard drive using Winrar
Step 3: Go to the folder where you extracted the files in the RAR archive
Step 4: Make sure that the filename is "CANNES_A_WM6.img"
Step 4a: if the img file it's not exactly "CANNES_A_WM6.img", rename it to that
Step 5: Format the SD card if you haven't already done so using the instructions above
Step 6: Copy the img file to the SD card, see step 6a
Step 6a: Make sure that the img file is the ONLY file on the SD card after formatting
Step 7: Take SD Card out of SD Card reader and put it in the a6x6
Step 8: Make sure that the a6x6 is plugged in via ac adapter before doing the next few steps
Step 9: activate SD Loader using the following instructions {
Step 9a: Hold down the power button and enter button (that's the button in the center of the d-pad)
Step 9b: Double tap the soft reset button while holding the other 2 buttons
Step 9c: After double tapping the soft reset button, keep the other 2 buttons held until a blue screen comes up that says something like Asus Cannes flashing utility
Step 9d: Wait until the process is finished (it's near the end when it says "writing private")
}
Step 10: At this point, your a6x6 should reboot on its own
Step 11: enjoy your updated rom
If you have any questions, feel free to just post or PM me.
As I release new roms, if you have a support question, please give me the rom version so I know what rom you are working with. You can get the rom version from the filename of the rom pack.
Example: Asus_A626_WM614_1
A626 = device (most often it will be A626, will rarely be different), WM614 = os version, 1 = release #
Update: Ok, I put out a bug fix rom with a fix for the today screen. I am still trying to find a fix for the sound and notifications control panel applet. The old rom (version 1) is deprecated and is not available for download any more. Use version 1a instead.
ASUS A696 User
Hi, Thanks for the release and good work. Since this is only the beginning (I hope), I begin to inform the performance firmware on my PDA (ASUS A696).
1 - Bluetooth - does not work (does not receive or send files)
- In the settings instead of the icon is a black square.
2 - Today - of all the elements shown only date and time, and only in the old form (as in the previous OS). I wish that Today was like other communicators.
3 - Start - which happened to all the sounds from the "Sounds and Notifications"?
4 - Software & others - as the 696 series have more memory, you can not throw out the program and plug-ins.
Waiting for a new version
Sorry for my English? i'm from Ukraine).

A few comments on your post:
1. I will check on the bluetooth situation. When I tested bluetooth, I didn't quite test file exchange enough.
2. I am working on a remedy/fix for the today screeen. However, I have no idea how long it will take for me to get it working.
3. This is just a matter of updating a few files. I used an older (and verifiably working) package to give non-phone support.
4. I am aware that the A696 and the later version of the A626 carry more flash rom space than the older version of the A626 and the A686. However, no matter what device I make roms for, there is a finite amount of space to fit everything into. As operating systems and programs progress, they get bigger and bigger. If everything keeps growing in file size, there is less space to fit more items, so I must remove some files/programs to keep within that finite limit of storage space. Where do all the files that I put into the rom go? Well, if you take a look at your storage memory, you will see that the total storage memory available is less than the standard 256 rom size.
I've downloaded and successfully flashed. Working good so far. I'm just installing some programs that I normally use and haven't run into an issue yet. It will be nice to have a working home screen but for now it isn't that big of a deal. I don't use bluetooth often so I can't comment on that yet. Wifi working, my music plays with S2P, I used windows market place to install netflix and office.
Keep up the good work!
Good job, but there are many failures to complete.
1) Today
2) Pictograms from former versions
3) "Sounds and Notifications"
4) Black pictogram Bluetooth in menu
5) When I close program - PDA show me Today(but must show menu)
6) Where is Oficce?
7) The pictograms not move in Start menu(only "Move to top")
Can you change your previous OS(WM6.1 rom version 2) context menu, pop-up menu and other for new from this OS?
P.S.: Sorry if you don't understand me I used translator...
Do you have french rom...?
Thank you.
just tested this build together with your WM6.1 release.
first impression - looks nice
even though seems slower on A696 - but this could be just because it's not tailored fully.
1) didn't test bluetooth much but seems to work fine with sending/recieving. I'd even say it's faster than on WM6.1 v2 release;
2) "Sounds and Notifications" problem with Events from previous v2 WM6.1 build;
3) under "System - Bluetooth" sometimes on BT icon there's black square - didn't notice when it happens though;
4) closing program throws you into Today screen insted of previous step;
5) same problem with Task Manager as I've said in previous thread for WM6.1
good luck
Hello, Steven!
I'm very thankfull to you for WM 6.5.
I have trouble, while installing, to say correctly, on the beginning of installing on my a626. I did everything as in instructions, even for few times. When i press power and enter button, make double tip on the soft reset, I see blue screen, where said sth about Cannes and its version.
it write my FAT type(FAT16), i see very little blink of "Reading file", if not take off fingers from power and enter button, it resets to blue screen again, if take fingers off the buttons, PDA loads...I just don't know what to do.. please, help me!
ps: sorry for my english.
I think I've found an issue. This morning when I turned on the device I had a missed appointment, the notification dialog at the bottom of the screen showed up but it was blank and had the wrong time on it. Not sure if this is a 6.5 issue or an Outlook 2010 issue.

Oh dear..I will be sure to check on that. As far as Outlook, do you mean Outlook on desktop Windows or Pocket Outlook on Windows Mobile? The only thing is that office (outlook) 2010 is still in beta and hasn't been released officially to the general public yet, so I can't find any definite fixes. I still believe you, but the fact remains that Outlook 2010 is still in beta and the code for the finished product could always change.
Steven, why have you ignored my message?

I had the same issue. With a slightly modified .img ("replace:0xC 09 04 => 36 D6" by _barmaley; because I'm a new user I couldn't link the original post...) the update completed successfully.
PS: Steven thank you for the ROM!

I am using Pocket Outlook, the new 2010 beta. But it doesn't seem to be related to that, if I make a Notification Dialog popup from something like turning off the A626 it gives me a blank white box. Now I've soft reset the device and it seems to have gone away. I'll keep trying to figure out how to recreate it.
First of all, thank you Steven855 for your job

Try to change values in System Registry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY\ITEMS\Windows Live\Enabled (from 1 to 0)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY\ITEMS\Windows Live Search\Enabled (from 1 to 0)
make a soft reset, check(ON) your plugin in today's settings, make a soft reset
now i have a problem with a today's size (you can see a scrollbar at the right side of the today's area) but its a better as nothing

Are you telling me this is how to fix the today screen issue? If it is (I still have to test it), I commend you for finding a fix that actually works.

yes, this is a tricks to fix the today screen...
i've tested it on my ASUS mypal a696 (but due to the fact that wm6.5 is not stable, I was forced to return to the WM6)
Is this all? Is there a step you're not telling me (I can't seem to replicate it)? What registry editor did you use? Did you use the (soft) reset button or did you use a program to soft reset the device?

Welcome to forums

I want the software of the jasjar which come with the installtion cd ..
I tried to join the jasjar with the pc but there's a problem with the usb ..
Plese help me as my mobile now like dead body
Thanks In Advance ;
Hello,
First instal ActiveSync 4.5 in PC. - if not already installed
Code:
http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/activesync.html
Then in settings in (ActiveSync) disable (NOT check): "allowed to connect to one of the following port" and "Allow connection to USB".
Perhaps the translation is correct. I use the CZ version. But it's second and third check box.
Now
This works for when the Universal is in Bootloader and Windows Mobile.
1. First download the ROM you want to install.
2. Extract it to a folder (use winar or other extraction software).
3. There will be up to 3 ROMs in the package: ms_.nbf (Extended ROM), nk.nbf (OS ROM), radio_.nbf (Radio ROM)
4. Delete those which you don't want to install. (If you just want to upgrade the radio rom for instance delete ms_.nbf and nk.nbf and leave radio_.nbf.)
5. Download UniversalRUU.zip
6. Extract it and copy into that folder the nbf files you want to install.
7. Enter BootLoader mode by pressing and holding the power button and backlight button whilst performing a reset with the stylus. And plug to PC. Wait few seconds.
8. Doubleclick ROMUpgradeUt.exe and follow the instructions
9. When the upgrade is finished pull out the USB cable from the Universal.
10. You will need to do a soft reset OR hard reset depending on the situation. (note: some say do a soft reset / others a hard reset .. possibly someone with more knowledge could correct me here, but until then it's best to investigate the matter for yourself on the forum.)
11. To do a hard reset (push the two menu buttons ("-") on the keyboard + the reset button at the same time (all of this three). Doing a hard reset will result in you losing all your installed apps and data so ensure you have a backup of everything first.) Everything should be fine from this time. You have to calibrate the screen and do some tutorial...
12. If after doing a hard reset you want your Universal not to install the extras from the Extended ROM wait untilsetup is complete and then do a softreset when the popup window appears (you have 3 seconds before it installs ExtendedROM)
For a long time I have not installed the new ROM. I remember so I proceeded as follows
Greetings
Svobi
Really I don't know how to thank u
