Hi Guys,
Would really appreciate your help on this one.
The other day i docked my Xda IIs as usual and began the sync process. Everything went fine till i looked at my inbox on my pda and my computer. There are a couple of emails on my PDA which are not on my desktop and which will not open or delete or move or anything for that matter, they are just there... cant do anything with them..
Activesync does not come up with any confilcts and the Xda syncs okay each time.
Really confused here. Can anyone help me or point me to a previous post (cant find one)???!!!

Hi everone,
I'm new here so hello.
I installed Black 2.5 on my SPV m3100 today and I'm stunned an how much faster the thing runs! Thanks so much to the people who put that together.
Has anyone else noticed there PC version of Messenger start acting weird since installing it on there pda though?
I know the outlook contacts thing is a bit annoying but I can cope with that (I'll just spend some time doing some house keeping on my contacts list) but all the conatcts in my PC version seem to have reset to the adresses and alot of my messages don't get though. Weird.
Any help would be appreaciated.
Hi
I have spent some time searching for this and can't find anything on it.
I think it's 2 problems that are related.
the first is to do with ACtivesync, it's currently syncing to exchange 2007 (I think, it's a hosted system) when i am deleting items in bulk i can deleted 10 or so from the phone at say 8am but when i get into office at say 9am some of those emails are still there, not all of them but atleast some of them.
the other thing which i have noticed is i think if i have done stuff in mail on the phone and then hit the power button to turn the screen off it stops syncing, if i think unlock the phone i see the sync icon at the top, the phone must sync while the display is off but but turning it off seems to stop it.
has anyone else found this or can shed any light on it
I have seen this problems you mentioned.
But I don't have a clue for this.
I'm also experiencing similar problems, I'm searching around a long time, but didn't find anything.
See this thread, where I describe my main problem.

But I definitely also have your deletion problem some times.
I also have the same problem.
Regarding the sync stopping, do you have Enable Always On Data in settings? I think that else it will turn off data after a while when you turn off the screen to preserve battery.

Hi
Glad I am not the only one with this strange problem, my data is set to always on, it was one of the first things I did, I know the data connection works as as I have an IMAP account that is set to receive every 10:30 mins which works on standby.
Would be great if someone could shed some light in this.
Cheers
Tom
Ps I am using the its orange group Rom which updated straight off when phone was first on so don't know what it was like before up date

Hello,
I've had my Evo for about a year now....still not rooted, I know, sorry. I recently rooted my G-tablet, so it will probably come soon.
I'm hopeing someone here can help me (or point me to the correct place to ask) with the sync on my phone.
The other day, the phone started freaking out upon trying to sync with my exchange based email. Gmail syncing works fine, the exchange email works fine on my PC through outlook, and on my Tablet.
When the phone trys to sync it says it needs to download some rediculous amount of emails.....this number goes up every day, as I continually get new emails. It starts to download the emails, but gets stuck at 48, always seems to be 48.
The phone chugs on this until i tell it to stop syncing. I feel naked without my mobile email.
Any thoughts? I haven't changed any settings. I haven't tried to remove and re-setup the email. Maybe that would be an easy fix.
Thanks for any help, I hope to get lots of use from this forum and maybe become a contributor if I actually learn anything, haha.
We, as you haven't done, I would uninstall it, then re-try it, as it could be an easy fix.
Yea a fresh start couldn't hurt so I would give that a shot first. Also, if you have any other questions feel free to ask! You're in the right place! I remember being new here and I was clueless as hell.
Is there a setting Im not seeing that allows emails to actually be deleted and not just from my phone?
My continuum would do it but when I delete emails on my Incredible then go to my email on my computer the emails are still there. I would like to have it so when I delete on my phone they are gone permanently. Thanks
btw... phone is fully stock
If your using the HTC mail client, delete the account and then recreate it: Mail>Other>Manual Setup>under "Protocol" select "Imap." What you are describing sounds like you set your email as "POP."
Thanks! that worked, just didnt know exactly what to search for. All my searches ended up just being same question as mine with no answers.
for anyone else searching for this, this is how its set up...

Awesome, glad I could help.
I have trouble getting my 300MB Notebook to to sync, Does anybody have a workaround or a tip?
I still couldn't set it up properly.
Just a little more info might help us.
What happens when you try to sync?
Are you on wifi or on 3g?
What is the behaviour you expect?
Have you tried syncing a small notebook?
Have you tried creating a new notebook just on the device and syncing that?
I use OneNote all the time and have no issues at all. My notebooks are rather large, too. Perhaps if we know what it is doing instead of syncing we could help you out.
My Bad, Thanks for the prompt response guys..
The Syncing never finishes. It's been two days now. I even put it for one full day.
Worst part is in this new version of OneNote I cant see the sync progress. Earlier version, there was an option to see which section is syncing and how many are more left on the notification bar. So I'd know if it gets stuck somewhere, there's a problem with a page. But in the new version, no notification appears. Since guys seem to be doing alright, it might be something on the device. My laptop syncs perfectly, and only the note 7 gave this problem now.
