BT Headset Problem with radio version 1.13.00 - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I am having problems with my motorola BT headset. People don't ear me. They tell me that there is impossible to ear what I say. Do you know if it is a common problem? if so is there any patch to fix it? or must I change the radio version of my phone?
Thank you

Are they not hearing you at all or is there a lot of static? I had static isues. After upgrading to BT 3900, all better.

I think it is lots of statice. They refer so much noise. How can I upgrade BT?

Try another bt headset, that's was really my problem too with a nokia headset. now with my sony hbh-608 everything it's ok...
And 3900 broadcomm stack too.

Jabra BT250

Hi,
Is anyone using the Jabra BT250 with QTEK9090 without problems? if so, what have you done?
I bought this headset, paired it with the QTEK and..... crackling! craclking and more crackling.... the only way i can get a clear sound is when i put the QTEK close to the headset (5-20cm) if it wasn´t sad it would be funny, i have to hold the QTEK next to my ear with the hearset on, if the unit is in my pocket or on the other side of my body... well.... not one word is understood... just crackling! 10 meters haha... it´s a joke!
I can´t believe HTC is selling 1000´s of units with this kind of problems!!!
It´s supposed to be a PHONE!!!! you can´t use the unit because of the low voice issue with the mic, you can´t use the headset because you have also the low volume issue... and you can´t use a BT headset because of all the BT issues... GREAT!!!
vega.
I have problems with my jabra and mda3 - I have to have the phone on the same side of my body as the headset otherwise it's too crackly.
I also have a PDA2K and a XDA2s, and use Jabra 250 and 250V I have the same problems as you. I used the second update from Imate it dose seem to make the Bluetooth More stable, but still you need to hold the phone near your head to stop the audio crackle.
I also spoke with Jabra as Imate are now saying there is a fault with Jabra headsets, The Guy at Jabra had a good larph about that.
Have you read the description???
Hello together,
i think you should read the description of the Jabra carefully.
They write, that you have to put the bluetooth-device on the side of your body, where you put the Jabra on your ear."Because the human body can make interferences."
Second, i think you have paired your device with the jabra in front of you. Don't do that. When the devices will pair, they changes some parameters of frequences. So do that:
Put your headset on your ear, search for devices on the pda, and after you put the code in, put the pda on the position where you will wear it.
After 30sec. look if it is OK! Than test, if it is crackly.
When it is not OK, delete the pairing devices, Reset both of them, go to another place (2m away, because of interferences) and try it again.
So, in the worst case, after 3 times, i have no crackly!
Good luck, Mario
I'll give that a go
..and has anyone seen any benefits with the Jabra250 after applying the second BT patch?
No... it´s the same... after the BT patch or with SuperMario´s tips above the crackling issue continues...
... i phoned JABRA support and they told me that it has something to do with the BlueAngel internal antenna...
...and that it was the same with the XDAII...
what i find strange is that i´ve already read somewere a XDAII user saying that he managed to fix the crackling with his jabra BT250! i don´t think he stated HOW!!!
and again i ask : Is anyone using the Jabra BT250 with QTEK9090 without problems? if so, what have you done? pplllleeeeaaassseee!!!

^^ Try That!!
I´ve already tried that several times... tried it again... that tip doesn´t seem to work for me!
i´m getting really frustrated with this...
thanks anyway...
O2 have already admitted the problem with the Jabra BT250, their UK product manager sent me this link which shows the compatibility issues with BT stuff:

Quite BT headset(s)

I have two BT headsets. A Jabra 200 and a Motorola HS850. In both cases, people who I call are reporting that they both sound quite and distant.
Has anyone else noticed this and if so, what was the cure.
I am running 3900 BT stack and the microphone AGC is turned on.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn't see anything.
Regards
whats your radio version?
1.02 seems to suffer quite bad ..
should upgrade radio to 1.12
The Radio is 1.06.00 - does this also have problems??
Have a look here:

I have the HS850 working perfectly.
Check my .sig for my config.

Artemis & Jabra bt620s problems

Hi, I really need some help to solve theese:
After connecting Jabra bt620s (bluetooth stereo headset) to Artemis there are only two profiles under this device: Handsfree and Wireless stereo (i guess the last means A2DP). I can place and receive calls and listen to music in stereo, even turn volume up and down.
1. But other buttons on headset don't work No play/pause, prev/next and rewinding. So what do I need to make them work? Are there any bt stack patches for Artemis like for Prophet, or maybe some special software? AFAIK there has to be special bt profile support to make the trick.
2. How to redirect all sounds to bt headset in stereo? I REALLY want to listen to fm-radio through Jabra 620. But even when bt headset is connected to Artemis radio goes to either connected wired headset or built in speaker Is there any solution?
Thanks in advance!

Re:
1. In order for the controls to work, the device should support the AVRCP bluetooth profile. Not sure though whether the Artemis supports that profile, and in any case this would not mean there would not be other issues.
2. Do you mean that the no sound is received by the Jabra, or that it is being received in mono? If the latter there is a registry change to a 'JointStereo' setting that should do the trick.

1. I guess that AVRCP bt profile is NOT supported on Artemis by default. The question is what can be done to somehow add this profile to Artemis. Applying some patches or something...
2. I mean that no sound is received by the Jabra. Sound goes to either wired headset or built in speaker.
AVRCP IS supported by the Artemis.
You need to make sure the player that you use supports as well. I have tried WMP and PocketMusic, and they both support it. Works great with my Jabra320s.
All my sounds are transfered automatically to my BT headset.. system sounds and my GPS program (MapKing) sounds.
Radio CAN NOT be run unless you have a wired headset inserted, as it acts as an antennae. Even so, I doubt sound will come to your BT headset. It just acts that way.
CHeers.

Indeed it is. It was Mort player's problem. Last release version doesn't support control buttons, but final available beta does!

Is is not ALL sounds, because radio sounds are not going in!

Sure thing I do plug the wired headset in. But sound goes to either built in speaker, or wired headset.

I REALLY hope that there IS the way at least to redirect radio output to bt headset instead of built in speaker. Maybe registry tweak or some special software.
So research on this topic continues!

Mask...I'm using same Jabra 320s as you. I am having a problem however. the music is skipping kind of like a scratched cd. Also the music intermintently speeds up and slows downs. Do you have this problem? Any ideas how to solve this?

Well, I gave it a try, but didn't download Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 yet. On fist try it doesn't do the trick Maybe because of lack of that MS thing. I'll get and try it later.
Thanks for helping anyways!

Whoa.. the speeding up and slowing down is little.. but noticeable. I didn't know anyone else would notice it.. hehe
Yes.. I do have that.. it happens especially after the pause.
I set my BitPool value to "45".. which has very little noise, but hardly skips. The thing is, I feel that if I make sudden moves or go further than 2 metres without a straight line of sight, the music will get cut off
Higher bitPool value will increase quality, and pauses.
How about you? What is your bitPool value?
Set to 45 aswell also do notice a high freqency wail in the background.

Yes it does.. but I'm outdoors and commuting most of the time when using the headset, and thus that level doesnt bother me much. It's a balance I would say.. But could be better..
If you do find a good tweak to increase the bitPool without skipping, do lemme know

I was looking for a way to do this, and this worked first time - thanks
I'm just using a mono headset - but it's fine

poor A2DP quality

I have Moto HT820 and JasJar with latest _official_ i-mate ROM. I applied the Tornado patch to get the Stereo Profile.
The sound works OK, except there is a lot of noise and distortion.
I've applied BitPool and SampleRate reg hacks but they dont seem to make any difference.
Anything else i can try?
Same here
I have a Motorola HT820 with my Qtek 9000 and the sound is really bad.
My friend has a Sony Ericson K800i and it works perfectly, the sound is great but with my Universal, the sound is very bad!!
Anyone has a trick or patch for A2DP?
Regards
try updating the firmware of your ht820 headset...the update is there in the forum..also, try using helmi's broadcomm stack http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291639..works perfect with my uni+jabra bt620s

the update (which is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276406 ; I've also linked in from my related article at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296770 ) will "only" fix the skipping problem; NOT the bad compatibility with the MS BT stack.
That is, the only way to fix the problem is 1, getting a compatible pair of headphones 2, changing the BT stack to Widcomm
see my post at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1215382&postcount=133
in short, Widcomm is a bad choice for jasjar/HT820 headset.
At this point I think i fixed the quality (or got used to it), because i dont hear much difference when streaming music from PC vs jasjar.
The only BIG annoyance is the skips/pauses. Must be the damn phone doing something in the background!

Bluetooth headset disconnection...

Hello,
I tried many kind of WM6 and 6.1 ROMs and faced the same problem with different frequency rate: my bluetooth headsets disconnect very often (also during phone calls) and actually I don't have any idea what should be the problem.
The HW I have is: H200 with Logitech BT mobile pro and Plantronics voyager 510 (of course not together the latters).
I tried different radio versions and different roms: the only variance is the "well-work" period. If it lose the connection I have to set off/on the BT in connection manager. Does anybody have this problem or know the root cause/soution to fix? I really appreciate any kind of help/suggessions.
Thanks
I have the same problem as you... I tried WM5 and WM6 (Official Spanish ROMs) and no solution found. My hardware is H200 and Parrot CK3000Evo. I think may be a hardware problem. Any help please???

Don't think there's any easy answer. Often seems to be a combination of headset firmware and BT settings in your WM device.
There are good discussions of some of the problems and issues in this thread and this thread.
Other than that, you could try different firmware versions for your headsets - that solved my problem with a Jabra 8010 (till it just crapped out completely).
Alternate solution is to cut the crappy earphones off your standard USB headphone and solder on a 3.5mm stereo plug. I haven't quite got to that stage yet, but have come perilously close many times.

Do you think it refer to the A2DP problem? I don't want to use my HS to listen to music; otherwise these aren't A2DP compliant neither. I just want to use for phonecalls as it designed for.

I want to use for phonecalls too. I'm sure there is a bluetooth problem, perhaps a hardware problem. I have same problems using BT GPS...
I have the same issue with my Cardo headset and my BTGPS unit.
On a call and the headset cuts out and call diverts to handset.
BTGPS working fine then suddenly no connection to BTGPS.
Are any of you using MS Voice Command with BT Fix? My problems seem to have started right around the time I began using it. Before that I don't recall having any headset drops. Can not say the same about GPS as I've only had it a short time and have not un installed VC to test.
BTW. I'm using the stock WM6 update and radio for AT&T 8525 H100 hardware.

I'm not using voice command, and i probe it using clean official WM5 and WM6 ROM. Today I installed schaps WM6 ROM, but i have the same problem.
I have the same problem too. It will be ok for a few days, then wont be able to use BT (Plant 250). Then either I have reset the phone or turn off BT in phone and turn it back on, then it will work.
I believe it is a hardware issue, cuz I had a 8525 before, and never had this issue. But with the set I got now, its been a problem from day one.
I don't use voicecommand at all. The strange thing is that I use a Nokia BT GPS and it works fine always: no disconnection on long trips neither.

Yes, the HS is dropping but the GPS still working forward. Strange, but because of that I think it's not HW problem.

Sorry if I mislead you with the A2DP stuff. Didn't realise you were having issues with just the basic audio.
As I mentioned in the other post, though, there seems to be compatibility issues between the MS BT stack and some headsets. Changing ROMs probably won't help, because they still all use the same BT stack. Better to try playing round with the headset - see if you can change firmware in that, if possible.
I know there are some people trying to port the Widcomm BT stack to WM6, but I haven't heard of any real success yet.
