Im upgrading my xda11s to the latest official o2 upgrade. The problem is that it has installed the new radio version ok, but it has been stuck on 12% for about 3/4 of an hour installing the extended rom, and th pc doesn't seem to be doin anything. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do next thanx

EDIT: May be you're lucky and it isn't dead after reset because it didn't stop during OS flashing.

try to exctract ur ROM , and delete ms.nbf then upgrade.
after ur finsh updating ROM try to repartition ur storage usually 16MB
and try to upgrade with extended rom again

I figured this out by accident..
I upgraded to windows mobile 2003 SE 2.06 but after I found out that half of the programs (MMS composer, cammera, etc..) dont work, due to incompatibility (error message says they are incompatible) I wanted to downgrade.
I ran the same ROM instalation (2003 SE 2.06) and waited for it to erase my ROM, then I took the phone out of cradle. I was dead at that point. I removed main battery, put it back in. Reboot the phone in bootloader mode (hold down D pad in centre position, then power button and soft reset - all at the same time). Then I put the phone back into the cradle and ran the ROM instalation of my choice. No more problems.
Well, I think using SD card method may be saver.
However, I forgot how to do this.

Same thing, I badly need to downgrade to 1.72 or 1.66. I tried it, it did not work. I was was adviced that there is a 1.66 SD version which is safe and possible to apply, any advice where can I find it???
Bty, MTUX 1.4 Ring tone, and other software runs very slow and creats porblems with 2.06!! Beside 2.06 hard reset by itself on weekly basis!!!

my vodafone died today when i tried to update it with a new rom. i was using Vodafone latest rom and i tried to update it to Qtek rom. after the installment finished and i hard-reset my machine, it cant boot up and have no response.........when i hard-reset again, it can show the menu of "clear memory press 0".............
my fd have told me to press Power botton and light botton to enter boot mode and install new rom again......but finally got no response too....i have tried twice!!!!!
my vodafone seems died now!!!!
i dont know what i should do!!!
everyone can help me?! please teach me how to "save" it!!!

Dont worry my friend it is not a difficult situation first of all and happends with alomst every 3rd person upgrading rom.
Adopt the following sequence.
1 - Enter boot loader mode as described by operator
2 - When you see usb or serial mode then you have a working unit which can be saved.
3 - The problem (if boot loader is active) is only due to radio rom just upgrade it.
4 - To upgrade only radio rom you have to do the same things you did for whole rom but keep out ext and os rom out of package.
5 - if problem persist then use Radio rom version 1.09 instead of current one

Yes you can find it in ftp files section or you can detach it from latest vodafone rom package just unpack exe and and copy radio rom
This is not your problem just a system error in upgrading process

Hey all i upgraded my 2003 (SE) to WM2005 it worked fine. Then i was experminting on extended roms i did some thing to it and it's not booting anymore i searched everywhere but couldn't find anything that can be downgraded now currently what is happened is the Colored strips is showing with
R 1.12.00
G 1337.42
D 5.03.02 WWE
and it stays there
PDA2K is by default unlocked
i tried hard reset used 2003 upgrade softwares even tried reistalling WM5 but all invain
even did Clean Reg Yes
Format Storage Yes but still no boot :'(
i want 2003 (se) as it was by default factory the storage was also unlocked i was that back to
please guide me thru clearly

Try to get it into bootloader when you boot it - you can find out how to do this on the wiki.

Yes i can get to Bootloader but when it's updating it just stops from the middle i need a proper guidence from someone..

Can you give the link, i am lost.. i just tried the SD card boot up that didn't work i copied the orange.bin file on SD with psdwrite command didn't boot up only shows the Colors

well i have a feeling you can fix this by reflashing it though ur usb. have you tried that?
like using helmi's wm5 and flashing thru usb, well if you havent you should.
also if that doesnt work i dunno this is really simple n u've probly tried it but when the screen is like that with the stripes like before thte numbers down the bottom come up tap it with ur stylus anywhere.
i dunno i got stuck once and that worked for me but it may have been coincidence.

I try to update my phone from 1.22 to 1.24 am on the process of update suddenly the phone loss connection. I try to hard and soft reset but not responsind, even i try to flash it on sd card it wont work also.
ups =s i have a treo 700wx, and i update from wm5 to wm6.1 but the process is direct from the sd, maybe if you ppc loss the connection, the OS is now corrupted, and you have to go at the technical support center, maybe they in the radio section or something like that can be reprogram the ppc and reinstall de WM, but is to much better that you install the rom direct from your sd.

i got an HTC diamond from France (orange telecom) it came with a signed rom windows 6.1 version but of course in french.
so i went upgrading the ROM by installing the following :
Hardspl:Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex 1.93
RADIO: 1.00.25.05
ROM :BSB6.5P
i did the upgrade by copying DIAMIMG.nbh to the internal sotrage and rebooting with volume Down + back button
the upgrade went successful but after a while i have noticed the the system is freezing and it hard reset while applying a soft reset, i went through the forums and upgrade to BSB6.5Q but didn't solve my problem.
now i am using the Don Salari WM6.5 light Version 2.09.162.1 WWE.
a difference that the freezing is gone but the hard reset while applying a soft reset occurs sometimes especially if my phone was low in battery.
can someone please help me with this, i am really in need of a solution and i just bought this device and not refundable

As Makeveral Said You Can use MTTY or FLASH A STOCK ROM!
same problem, solved flashing original rom, and reflashed cooked rom.
Why MTTY thread is not sticky yet?
PS. I used once this stock rom:

Makeveral, I've followed the MTTY instructions and flashed a rom from my internal memory i have flashed the BSB65Q (i like this ROM).
i will test the device for couple of days and keep you updated.
only one question is it necessary to update the Radio ?
