Hi,
i had a question regarding the connectivity of the bluetooth. I am currently holding hp ipaq 6828 and itech clip radio bluetooth headset. I am able to pair the phone and the bluetooth headset. The probelm i faced is i switched on my bluetooth headset and my pda in discoverable mode. I am unable to auto pair it. Is it that i need to install some third party software in order to let it auto pairing or there is no way it can auto pairing like Sony Ericsson. Please advise.
Thanks
John
no idea what you mean by auto pairing, but the HEADSET needs to be in discoverable mode, not the phone. the phones BT just needs to be on. once the headset is in discoverable, (i.e. the light is steady-not always.. just on the ones ive used), try to pair it from the phone.
Good luck.

i paired the headset with my device for both wireless stereo and hands free. however, every time i power the headset off and on, my P3600 device asks me to pair the headset again.
my understanding is once they are paired, whenever i enable BT for both devices, they should automatically pair and NOT having to do it every time.
this is what i have under the BT taps...
Devices - i see my headset as one of devices
Mode - both turn on BT & made this device visible are checked
COM Ports - New outgoing port
Security - authentication required NOT checked
FTP - enable file sharing is checked
am i missing some settings???
After you pair the device try shuting down the pda. No reboot shut down, that should do the trick
Hello all. I'm new to windows mobile but not to smartphones. For some reason my bluetooth headset is not working. I have not installed TomTom or had any error messages, basically I turn on the bluetooth function on my TP2, then turn on my headset, it goes to search and never finds my headset. It finds everything else, my blackberry, another cell phone, but not my headset. Any ideas?
Headset not in pairing mode or not visible? If you have another bt device, use that to test.
I thought I had it in pairing mode but apparently I didn't lol. Problem solved, thanks!
Dear people,
I have a question I tried to connect my bluetooth headset (sony) but when I was looking in the settings under bluetooth it couldn't find my headset. What did I wrong? My headset was on not connected to any other device.
Would like to make it work!
Was your headset in pairing mode?
Devices won't show up if they're not in pairing mode.
As I faced this I am sharing the info with you all. I hope you benefited.
After pairing up 3 to 4 devices, sometimes you need to connect to a new one for which it doesn't pair directly in the same way the mobiles
1. Your mobile device supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile and has a music player feature.
2. Ensure that your mobile device Bluetooth is switched on and press and hold power button for sometime until blue indicator light starts to flash quickly or blinks.
3. Within about 3 minutes, activate the Bluetooth feature on your device, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices. naming like BH-505 or any user named by user.
4. Select the headset from the list of found devices.
5. If necessary, enter the code 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your device.
when that device get connected it's ready for use.
