Hello, I just received an O2 xda 2s and tried to upgrade it, the rom did not work and now I have nothing but a black screen with USB 2.06 writted on. I'm searching the web and have register on http://www.seeo2.com/ to get the rom but the transfer don't work. Could someone please tell me where I can download the good rom for hte xda 2s from asia? Thanks.
Crap I thought I had the good one called dopod (as written on the box but it won't work ) Please tell me what to do, thanks.

I'm trying to repair a water damaged XDA II so I need disasemble manual for it so I can put the main board in the ultra sonic cleaner.
The problem with the phone is is that the back night doesn't work.

I was able to upgrade my BA to windows 2005. However, when I reset it after the upgrading it says on the screen "NO GSM". Now I can't use the phone function of my XDA IIs. Anyone would like to help me. By the way, before I upgraded it successfully, I messed up by using the wrong model of upgrader. I used the one for dopod instead of for XDA IIs. I already went to greenhills they said its 1,500 or 2,000. But I am looking for some help from the people here if there is any other way cheaper.

Try to upgrade your radio to version 1.5 (see wiki for instructions)

recently my phone has been going haywire, sometimes it wont turn on, i have to take the battery out and in about 30 times before it makes it to the boot screen, where it fails once again! I have hard reset it many times -- nothing. it wont sync to my comp anymore either!

why dont you try UdK R7. no probs here
normally you can get the o2 Version from the o2 website. Take a look @ the Support Page. In Germany there is a section with Roms for nearly all XDA Products. Even the Rom for the XDA Neo is still online

I've had an o2 Ignito for the last year and its given me no trouble whatsoever.
I've tried various roms for it, all with no problems.
All of a sudden, I'm getting no signal at all. o2 confirm the phone has not been blacklisted or anything and my sim card works ok in other phones.
Any ideas?
o2 have said send it back and we'll repair it... I've got a cooked rom on there of course.
I've got a o2 stock rom called: Xda Ignit2_UK_2.10.206.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe Would that be enough to get past they're security checks? Do I need to remove HardSPL 1st? I've searched the site and I can't get my head round doing it.

Reverting to stock SPL is always the last step.....be sure tot restore stock ROM and radio first.

The stockROM you mention has a radio in it (it's the last part of the description) so when you put this on it you're good to go.

Is there an easy/cheap/FREE way of unlocking it? I'm thinking of selling it because I've lost the heart with it somewhat.

Sell it, or get an upgrade.. Or just unlock it again. All three are just about as easy as each other. I stumbled upon a complete noob guide to flashing the other day. I think once you have a custom SPL on there you're good to do pretty much anything.
