SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY TO THIS OR IF NOT TO THAT THEN JUST TELL ME WHY I DONT HAVE ACTIVE SYNC INSTALLED IN MY PDA ? I WANT TO ACTIVE SYNC VIA BLUETOOTH BUT NO ACTIVE SYNC IN MY XDA II :S ??
hey guys....
i have just bought billionton's bluetooth usb adapter class 1 100M (328ft) range...
it comes with a software IVT Corporation Blue Soleil, i paired my XDA II with this software but the PAN icon in the software just would highlight for me to click it, after few google searchs i read somewhere that PAN is not possible in XDA II ..... is that true ?? anyways in the meantime i thought i would connect to my lan internet connection that is on my comp via active sync....but after all the settings on ActiveSync on my comp i all of a sudden realised there is no active sync in my XDA II....i double checked....not there in start menu....not in programs folder not even in windows dir on my pda... so could someone please explain me how to connect to the PAN in XDA II or if thats not possible please tell me how to get the active sync cab file in my XDA II through which i can sycn via bluetooth n connect to the internet..........

LMAO One thing chap there is no bluetooth going to get you 328 ft. maybe 30 on your best day. And if you cannot find the active sync icon on your xda II my suggestion is that you flash the device with the most current rom and go from there.
Mike

i just flashed it yesterday installed mysteryman's rom...... :S can someone do some trick and get the active sync cab for the xda II ?
thanks

There is no active sync cab. Its built into the rom. I think you need a 101 class on where to find active sync on your xda II BTW flash it will the oem rom and you will find it.

thanks for the reply mike....found active sync.....guess what it was hidden somewhere :S i found it on the today screen under spb pocket plus connect options...there was an icon of active sync i clicked it and voila....it opened up...but how come its not in the folder /windows/activesync or /programfiles/activesync.... ?

Newbie few questions M1000

Hi,
after a quick search im struggling to find info.....
Please bear with me...
1) does anyone have a link to a GPRS counter that will work with my phone??? i fownloaded and paid for 1 that doesnt work..... (all locations GPRS counter) as its says it is not a windows CE app....
2) Is there a rom update for the M1000 that will allow voice dialling like the 02 rom update??? or what would the implications of using the 02 rom update be?
3) i saw a link a while back regarding the flashing bluetooth light, is there anyway of turning it off?
Many thanks for being patient with me.....
GPRS Counter
Try using spb GPRS Monitor (www.spbsoftwarehouse.com) You can use for 15 days on demo. This was the program that was supplied with the original xda. Works perfactly on my XDA II.
Hope this helps.
1. many programs you download are exe for the pc which then use activesync to copy the files to the pda
make sure that you are not trying to run pc exe files on your xda otherwise it will give you that error

hhhmmm there should be an icon in the left corner where you can turn off bluetooth that makes the light stop blinking
of cause it also disable bluetooth but if you need bluetooth and worry about the power it takes to make the led blink then dont it dont use much power, having bluetooth on does however

Bluetooth device explorer doesn't retrieve all services

Hello everybody,
I have the following problem with my o2 XDA III and I'm wondering if there is anyone out who has the same:
I want to use a Nokia N90 (which supports 3G) as a modem for my XDA III, and I want them connected via Bluetooth. I know it offers the dial-up networking service (DUN) so that my XDA III could connect to it. But the only service my XDA III retrieves is the "OBEX File Transfer...".
Then I tried another mobile, the Nokia 6630, which I borrowed from a friend. But again, the XDA III only retrieves the OBEX.
Finally I shuffled my cupboard and got my old Siemens S55. Now, the XDA III detected both the OBEX service and the Serial Port service.
Even an update (BT 3500 --> BT 3900) could not solve that problem.
I know the Nokias support DUN, and that's why I think the mistake lies in the XDA III.
I'd be very pleased to hear from you!
cbruehl, who liked (until now) his XDA III very much.
Hi,
Yeah, the bluetooth seems to be cripled to stop you connecting via another mobile phone and make you use the operator it's got a sim card for.
I would love to do this to - my blue angel is now my 2nd phone/pda/satnav and gprs is expensive - if I want to use cheaper gprs in it i've got to swap the sim card with my main phone :-(
I've looked about quite a bit but can't find any kind of info or workaround.
Ian
There IS a solution for this....
I downloaded the BroadcomCorp_BT1.6.0.600.cab from the XDA FTP server and followed this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18052&highlight=btwizardprofiles
to the modified btwizardprofiles.dll. I modified the CAB file so that this (older!) version is installed (it's 1.4.1.60) and that works fine. I did manage to find another 1.6.0.600 bluetooth stack, but that .dll bombed out on me  and I could not get the stack to install. Hope that helps.

[Solved] WM6 Bluetooth Sync...

[email protected]
i have a t-mobile mda3 Compact with PDAViet Black&Blue V3...
since i upgraded from WM5 to WM6 i can not sync to my PC over bluetooth..
can anyone with wm6 try this? maybe im only to stupid...
if it works.. pls tell me how...
thanks
Works just like it always did. Switched Bluetooth Radio on, started ActiveSync on my XDA and selected "Connect via Bluetooth" it than searched new Bluetooth Devices, found my Notebook with ActiveSync Service enabled and synced. Exactly the same as it was with WM5
doesnt work =(
that does not work for me... the following happens:
I enable bluetooth... open active sync and select connect via bluetooth...
A window pops up witch says : There is no Bluetooth Relationship with an ActiveSync enabled PC. Would you create a relationship.
If i click on Yes i get to the Bluetooth settings tab were i can enable / disable bluetooth.
If i create the bluetooth partnership myself, the same happens in Active Sync...
any ideas?? pls help me... i really need this.
Its workin now... had to create an incoming comport for bluetooth on my pc and activate it in active sync

Click to collapse
Could you please explain to me more slowly I am sorry I am noob, I have the same problem
Finaly the problem solved. You are right it is because of incoming port. But another reason why in the begginning I don't know your statement about incoming port is because the application and the driver of my Bluetooh donggle which come with the device has different user interface. No incoming port is stated there . When I delete this driver and use the driver which includes from window XP, and try to pair it again, everything solved.
Thank for the information

Tytn + Schap's WM6 + Macbook + Missing Sync 4 -> can't sync!

hi all..
I downloaded Missing Sync 4 for Mac and installed. Then upgraded my Tytn to WM6.
Now I'd like to sync all my contacts and to do with my mac, but I can't. the system can't see the phone both with USB connection and Bluetooth (while connected with cable the Tytn recharge correctly, with Bluetooth I can send files between the two. so seems there are no problem..)
can someone help me?
tks a lot..

read this! then i should work. i have schaps3.60 and it works perfect for me.
regards chief
Yeah, try that. I have MBP (Intel), WM6 Black X, 8525 - working fine with Missing Sync 4.0

cant sync

hi ppl,
after the upgrade from 2003 to WM5, everything is ok but BA wont sync any more. It used to work fine with 2003, I bring it to my friend where we patched it, we didnt sync it there but his pc obviusly saw BA during the patching process.... When I brought it home my PC couldnt sync with BA any more.
When I put the BA in the cradly PC found it and let me explore the BA thru the active sync just like before but after that it report that he can not sync and that I recconect the device, after the reconnecting - same story. Exploring works ok all the time but syncing dont.
Im suspicious about the fact that PC didnt asked me about the new device after the wm5 patch and didnt asked me about the type of the partnership (you know guest and normal)...
Used to try without the firewall, didnt helped, and didnt know how to manage to connect it and sync it via the BT...
Any ideas regarding the syncing via the USB or if someone can me please explain BT sync process...
Can I sync it with the WIFI ad hoc wifi network ? how please ? That could help too maybe.
PC OS is XP SP2
Best regards !
try this...
make sure you have updated your activesync to the recent version. mine is 4.5
1. remove your BA from the cradle.
2. delete your mobile device profile in activesync.
(File-> Delete Mobile Device)
3. place your BA in the cradle
4. re-setup your mobile device.
ty active sync on the PC is 4.5...
tryed to reinstall it, deleted the folder, run registry cleaner, install it again and nothing changed...
Im suspicious that the problem is in BA, when I run active sync there it reports on some kind of info screen "to sync with the desktop computer, install Activesync on your computer and then connect this device. If your company support syncing directly with its exchange server blah blah"... Never saw this screen in the active sync on BA before...
It looked like PCs active sync before as far as I remember....
used to try to connect it with the BT, after the pairing with the PC BA shows the screen with the services that I want to use for that BT connection but the list is empty... Anyway they are paired in that moment (passkey passed)... When I click on the connect with the BT in the active sync on the BA it report that theres no BT paired devices in that moment and that I can pair if I want, I chooce PC on the next screen again but nothing happens...
sorry to hear that.
i guess if you're using BT to sync i cant help you with that.
i know there's a topic here somewhere about the BT Stack incompatibilities.
let's hope someone who had your error find his way into reading this.

tragedy: life's a windows[tm] bliss... till one bug shows up and eats up your lifespan with stress in bugbusting.
looks like that PC cant read settings of the BA coz when syncing begins, PC report that he is retrieving settings but moment after that he report sync can not be completed succesfully....
Like theres some firewall in the BA which prevents pc from the reading of the settings.
Problem is solved, BA is upgraded to WM6.
always glad to hear someone has solved a problem.
even if my posts didnt helped a bit. ahaha...
