HELP!! - howto remove RS-MMC card - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi
I have an RS-MMC card in my BA and I have managed to pull out the "spacer", leaving the crda inside the phone. How can I remove the card? Hopefully I don't have to dismantle the phone to do it. If so, what tools will I need. I know there are some dissassembly thredas around, but I'm not sure they list the required tools

I would try jamming somewhing flat in there to make sure its unclipped (u know how it clicks into place), then shaking it about. Maybe some of those bendy tweezers off a penknife.

Carefully put the extend part back to the SD slot, if you put it right, it will lock the RS-MMC. Then take it out by push it one more time.

Dismount Artemis

Hi,
Did someone already dismounted his Artemis ?
And if yes is there a good way to do it safely...
I only manage to take off the 2 little screws but after i'm afraid to brake something...
I really want to turn off the backlight of the keypad and it doesn't seem to have a software issue to do it...
Thanx, Laurent.
Hello,
I broke my touch screen, and I found a new one on the web (13$).
It's the reason why I need some help to dismount the phone.
Like he said on the previous post, I manage to remove two screws but I don't know how to go on.
Sorry if you don't understand it very well, I'm french.
See you and thank you for your good job on this forum.
Hi,
After removing the 2 screws you need a credit card to keep going on and open it. If you use a screw driver you'll damage the housing or worst.
The camera vover will pop up and below there is another two screws. Put the credit card on the side and try to seperate the back from the front, keep slowly and without puting any presure on it and you'll see how it opens.
Cheers.
Thanx for your help!!
I'll try it, when I receive my screen.
Bye.

pulling out the sd card

hi,
i bought my touch pro2 with an sd micro sandisk card , i cant pull it out ,
how do i do this ?
Similar to a standard sd card, push it in a bit, release and it should pop out enough for you to grab it. Same thing when you insert it back, it should push a bit further then come back and lock.
thats what i thought but it wont go out , should i use more force ?
if you pull it out when its in lock.. you might break the lock..
yeah its annoying...i tried pushing it to pop out and then pull it, it seems like it stuck on something. I had to use tweezers to pull it.

a few questions

good day
a few questions if you don't mind. i have the sprint version and was not sure if i should post my inquiries in the general section...
1) i bought this off ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/RUBBERIZED-H...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item414abf348c
it's a hard rubber case for the sprint version. fits well but i noticed that upon turning on the unit, the screen gestures seemed to stop. the auto-rotate worked when i pulled out the keyboard but other functions or icons stopped responding. i couldn't even power it off as the screen asking for the yes or no didn't respond. i then removed the case and everything was back to normal. the back part was causing no problems, it was only the front (for the screen). has anyone experienced the same? now i'm thinking of getting a simple rubber case as i think the hard type is gripping the touch screen too much.
2) on micro sd cards. i have a 16gb which gives me no issues with memory. all the programs and applications are installed in the card as well. if i had another micro sd card which i wanted to use, can i simply copy and paste ALL the program contents (and other related folders/items) on the other micro sd? will this enable all the applications i've installed still run? or do i have to reinstall everything into the other micro sd?
other than those 2, very pleased with my phone. currently using an i-tech a2dp headset and i noticed that the sounds are quite loud...despite the volume on the unit being at 70% only. example, i was playing my tunez and my media player volume was at 70%...and my unit volume wasn't even cranked up...noticed that the sounds were quite loud via bluetooth.
cheers
just answered my first question. it turns out that the screen protector i had on was too wide. instead of simply covering the main screen, it was reaching all the way to both edges where the black borders are. when putting on the case, i think this was making it press on the screen harder. i simply replaced the screen protector with a standard fitting one for the htc pro 2, put the case back on, and presto...all's well.
cheers

Yes, you can simply copy the contents of your SD card over to your PC, put in a new card, format it, and then just copy everything back over to the new one. As long as you maintain the same file structure, everything should run just as it did before.

Glad to help
Make sure you save the copy of the card contents that you put on your PC during the transfer, just in case your card ever craps out and you need to restore

[Q] Speaker removal

Hello, I cracked my screen and am trying to replace the screen myself. I have removed the screws and removed the back plating however I run into a weird situation that no matter how many times I search, I cant seem to find the answer to. So hopefully you can help me.
When I remove the back plating, the speaker does not come off along with it. Is this normal? It stays on the motherboard. I need to remove this in order to disconnect the camera. I have an F240K. How should I proceed?

[Q] recover data, dead screen

I'm trying to help a friend recover mainly pictures from her phone. She dropped it down some carpeted steps and now the screen is dead. To avoid paying $200ish to replace the screen or turning in the phone to get a new one (right now), her main goal is to get the photos. The phone is unrooted and has a lock code. What can be done or steps to get inside the internal drive?

You should be able to hook it up to your computer via USB and copy the photos to the computer. I do that all the time and don't have to unlock the phone to do so.
