XDA IIs BT headset initialises ok, but does not connect - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi all,
I have a problem which is REALLY bugging me.
I brought a Sony Erricson HBH-602 headset a few days ago. I set it up and it worked fine for 2 days, but all of a sudden stopped.
Now whenever I try to connect it gives me the "Connection Failed" message. I set the same hands free on another XDA with the same ROM etc and it works fine- so I've assumed that there is nothing wrong with the headset.
I've tried all the obvious fixes such as a soft reset, re-installing the headset, recharging the headset and so on, but to no avail.
The thing is that before the problem started I had to backup the XDA to a different computer (as guest). It seems that the phone worked fine before this.
Please help- it's REALLY bugging me!
Any comments / suggestions are warmly welcome.
Cheers, Zap

spv m2000 - crock of poo

Had my m2000 for just over a week now and what a crock of poo. No volume out of speaker (well documented problem) and bluetooth connection that is turnip (might as well be two bean cans and a bit of string). I can get it paired with my bluetooth (in built in BMW) but every time a call comes in it drops it. Is there a patch for the bluetooth if so where do I get it ??
The other thing that winds me up is that orange UK will not acknowledge the above well documented problems but having mentioned "fit for purpose etc" they are sending me out a replacement and if this does not work I will change the phone completely. I did not change it earlier as I got a brilliant car mount from PDAmods and I will be out of pocket if I change the phone
To sum things up please advise should I ditch the phone and go back to my ipaq 4150 or are there software patches out there --- "somewhere" ????????
just checked rom 1.40
radio 1.06.02
if that helps anyone
FWIW, ROM 1.40 is OK, but I'd advise an upgrade to Radio ROM 1.13 & check if bluetooth version is 3500 or 3900.
I now use 3900 & make sure bluetooth is permanently on. Since then, I have not had the problem with "no Volume"

I've used the 1.13 radio ROM on my Orange M2000 - it worked fine for normal phone calls but GPRS went a bit mad with long, long connect times and frequently wouldn't connect at all. Dropping back to the 1.06.02 ROM put everything right.

PANIC NOT I FIXED IT! :)

OK it worked! it says hard reset at end of proceedure and shows different PDA so i "soft reset instead" and so far it works very very well..
PROs fixed for me:
Bluetooth Crackle on Jabra BT250 headset fixed!
Surfing Explorer via Random Wifi Connections fixed!
SKype messaging works fine, no voice test yet, was via random WIFI!
Streaming LBC from london at 12kbps via Randon WIFI! Seamless.
Cons I fixed. some i cant.
If player dosnt "stop" just tap forward or back track. good enough workaround for me.
NEW tab can be brought back to front screen bottom left buy going into SETTINGS/SYSTEM/MENUS/NEW MENU TAB Enabled
CAMERA has blue pixely snow, I am using Flouresent Light energy saver bulbs but is slightly worse than old firmware, need to check daylight settings. ANY HELP WITH HOW TO SWAP .CABs to fix this would be great!
havnt done nearly enough testing, pocket tunes and tomtom5 are next, they worked ok on old firmware. fingers crossed they should be ok on this one. It hasnt crashed ONCE and not one SOFT RESET , im listening to LBC LIVE Surfing the NET and Using Skype all at once! THANK YOU XDA DEVELOPERS CREW!!!!
i installed that rom months ago, worked perfectly, why not try wm5.0 8)

PDA2k switches off

Hi Guys/Gals
My I-mate PDA2k has recently started switching itself off for no apparent reason, nothing has been installed recently and the battery seems fine.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a nice solution or is my PDA dying?
Thanks everyone
Terry
What ROM version etc. are you using ?
I use i-Mate's 1.40.176 WWE and Radio version 1.13 and actually experienced something similar.
I found that in my case the recently installed Broadcom 1.6 BT stack/upgrade (CAB file: PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpdate) had something to do with it.
Since installing it I had regular unexpected shutdowns whilst using BT and OziExplorer despite having the 'no shutdown' option in OziExplorer ticked.
I did a hardreset, reinstalled everything as before but without the BT stack and everything works perfectly (again) now.
hard reset might work, if all else fails of course and nobody has a fix for you!!!!

I am also using the I-mate 1.40.176 WWE and Radio version 1.13 but I haven't installed the Broadcom 1.6 BT stack/upgrade.
I have recently done a hard reset (not by choice) as the PDA2k screen went blank, I pressed the standby button believing it to be in powersave mode but it wiped everything!!, even after that I have had problems but I have replaced the original battery now as I was using a huge one that I bought from www.proporta.com.
We'll see if this does any better, watch this space...
Thanks Bins & Joey Jojo

many problems....

im continously having problems with my phone so i thought it would be better to ask rather than keep messing around.
firstly ive lost a few programs one being "album" another problem is that sometimes i cannot hear the caller, until i soft reset. another problem is that sometimes my tomtom will totally shut down during a journey and also that when i escape the tomtom, it will turn off bluetooth.
is there anyway of fixing some or all of these problems.
or does anyone live local to me (heathrow airport UK) that can sort these problems.
Paul.

HTC P3300 phone reception falls ASLEEP!!!

Is there anyone out there who knows a solution to my problem?
The smartphone is working perfectly (IE, Tomtom, WiFi, Bluetooth, phone, etc.) but if it is left idle for a couple of hours I am not reachable by phone.
The phone makes outgoing calls without any problem and by doing that it sort of "wakes up" and suddenly I can again receive incoming calls until its incoming calls function "falls asleep" again!!!
The GSM coverage is perfect and the reception gauge is permanently indicating full signal.... What should I do?
Thanx

Hi,
Have you solved this problem?
Is your P3300 total standard or have you "tweaked" or dropped it?
"Tweak":
- Installed additional SW
- SD Card
- Edited the Windows registry
