O2 igual ao 9100

Ola a todos,
E a primeira vez que esvrevo neste forum e queria pedir se alguem me podia ajudar, porque comprei em Africa do Sul um O2 igual ao Qtek 9100 com o sistema operativo em ingles e gostaria de mudar para portugues.Sera que e possivel?

Deves escrever em inglês pq senão será muito díficil alguém te responder (basta ver o número de português que estão aqui ).
So I'll be answering you in english, in case someone else has the same problem.
In order to change it to portuguese, you need to find a portuguese rom to put on your phone. But this can be tricky because there aren't too many portuguese rom's available (I don't have one before you ask). Also, your phone might be a G4 or a G3 (these are the phone models - different bootloaders), and there are different tecniques to upgrade them.
Anyway, it is possible to change your rom to a portuguese one, BUT you have to read the stickies here, and read them again before you try to change the rom on the phone, if you don't you face the probability of damaging permanently your phone.
PS: Why don't you keep your ROM on english??

Here is Portuguese HTC Home Plugin UPDATE (translated from original) plus Weather cities of portugal.
Please note that you have to install original HTC Home first and you must have a PTG (0x0816) wm6 ROM.
Original world wide city list was totally replaced by portuguese cities only so it's better to backup original HH_0816_WeatherCities.xml first.
Original file posted here had a bug so i had to correct it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Este update foi feito para todos os tugas que querem ver o wm6 cada vez mais português. O primeiro ficheiro tinha um erro que já está corrigido. Peço desculpa pelo incómodo.
É necessário instalar primeiro o plugin original em Ingl. e só depois instalar este. Reiniciar e já está.

Well, first of: Please, if you're gonna write portuguese put on the "english subpictures"... (forum must have... and I'm seeing this complain all around the forum, including threats [from the moderators] to shut down people who insist on the subject...)
Bom, em primeiro lugar, se você vai escrever em portuga, põe as "legendas em inglês"... (exigência do forum e eu estou vendo essa reclamação para todo o lado, inclusive com ameaça [dos moderadores] de cortar fora os que insistirem...)
Second, point is they use accuweather, which is the same source of the Firefox weather plugin, so "good" that they put Brasilia to the north and most of time the climate does not convince (changes too much). So, I don't see that as a reliable source of weather info, even with the right city. I pointed that out to Accuweather some months ago and they did not fix it...
Segundo, o ponto é que eles usam accuweather, que é a mesma fonte do plugin de tempo do Firefox; tão "bom" que eles colocam Brasília lá para o norte e na maior parte do tempo o clima não convence (além das previsões mudarem muito). Então, eu não acho que seja uma fonte confiável de previsão do tempo, mesmo que a cidade esteja certa. Eu avisei o Accuweather do problema meses atrás e até agora não resolveram...

At this moment i'm using w.m. 6.1 diamond core + mannilla 2d ptg rom from Zoko. Can u help me?

hi mate from portugal i install this cab file and all citys appear but when i turn on the internet it try connect to get the weather and dont do nothing and the original that came with my rom works but have a few citys only from portugal can you post an updated cab file that works please tks

HTC Galaxy 100, qtek g100

I am new and necessary of aid, this forum is excellent, but already I walk some time to looking for and not meeting a solution.
If somebody to be able to help me was thankful, I have one qtek G100 and until one month was all good, and one day I left the PDA one week on to the PC, screen touch don’t function but with buttons it’s Work and not have guarantee so I Open (it seems all good) and I cleaned then I repaired that when took off battery and it bound the screen functioned but for little time now it does not leave to line up pen.
I wanted a upgrade Rom or an equal one to only test or explanations as someone can help with my problem.

Htc Gene upgrading problem

Hi there,
I just finished upgrading my gene to this wm6 rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396744 ,
but i am having some problems.
It seems that this rom doesn´t recognize my phone operator... that is Vodafone (Portugal) it keeps "searching" and finds nothing... Anyone can help me clarify this?
Plus i tried to update to another rom but now i can´t even get an activesync connection

Could it be the radio rom that is preventing my gene to access my phone operator? cause the name of the rom says:
RUU_Gene_hTC_Asia_India_1.17.720.1_4.1.13.34_02.79 .90_Ship
So its radio rom version 02.79.90 right? for asia and india?

I think i only need a new radio rom, or an original gene rom that includes a different radio rom than the one i already have. I mean i have 3 different roms that i have already installed but the radio rom remains the same

Boas amigo, temo que estou com o mesmo problema, após o upgrade o meu gene100 não consegue se conectar a operadora (TIM aqui no Brasil). Não tenho ainda a solução do problema, mas posso te adiantar que o problema é no rádio. Verifique a versão do seu rádio para confirmar se é 02.71.90. O meu gene assumiu esta versão logo apos o upgrade com a mesma ROM que você fez.
Acho que com a versão 02.98.90 resolveremos o problema, mas ainda não consegui achá-la. Se puder me ajudar a procurar ficarei agradecido.

Hii, tenho um grande problema com o meu qtek 9000(PU10), depois de pesquisar la encontrei alguém a dizer que para instalar uma Rom em PTG teria de actualizar o Boot( pois eu preciso de mudar a linguagem do 9000 de inglês para PT, mas a única Rom que encontrei foi apenas em PTB e ainda não encontrei em PTG, mas o meu problema é que quando eu tentei actualizar o Bootloader partir dai o ecran esta sempre preto e diz apenas ''Serial'' , alguém me pode ajudar please!!

Para mudares a ROM precisas de fazer o CID Unlock ou SUPERCID. Bem como SIMUNLOCK
Ou seja remover todas as protecções , À REDE ao operador e à Lingua....
Ou podes tentar o software de upgrade que força o CID bypass , sem necessidade de desbloquer o device.

Strange link there!!
All ROM´s for Universal can be found here at XDA (in the Wiki or Universal mobile 6 section)

Buzzlightyear was (is?) a great developer here a long time ago and he has his own site as well with all sorts of hacks. Great ones! the link on the post from Road is from Buzz site. A little search here would produce lots of posts from Buzz. What he could not post here for any reason, he would post it there. Great developer! He probably moved on to new devices.
Edit 1: The only Portuguese ROMs that can be found on links are apparently WM5 Original ROMs. Very little seems to have been done in terms of translating the English ROM into Portuguese for the Universal. There is more done for newer phone models.
