I don't think you will find this, (I hope you do) but it seems impossible to implement if you are not the cprog program...

is it so hard that no one wants to tackle it?

I just got the Cingular Siemens SX-66 (using T-Mobile through it) and while setting up the simple things on the phone I noticed that the volume level on the incoming call ringer is REALLY low. I turned it all the way up from the little volume control at the top of the screen but it really did not help much. Is there anything that really can be done? I have tried different ringers to see if any were louder to no avail. Can I somehow import one that is louder or something?
Can't help I'm afraid, I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a while but with no success. I'll be eagerly watching this thread...
Let's solve this together!
OK guys, same problem here. Any body knows if a firmware upgrade will fix this? I'm a hardware engineer so I am so damn tempted to bust it open and find an easy hardware change that will fix this problem for good. If anybody has access to the "Servicing manual" for the blue angel please post a message here! I can then try to figure it out. ANy other hardware hacks, web links to servicing the Blue Angel will be VERY appreciated.
Cheers.
till then ...darn it...missed calls.

hi, crystalrf,
have you found a way to boost the volume yet?
just installed wm5 Tuma v1.3 on my Qtek9090
had (some) hope that mic problems would dissapear, but no luck att all
besides that, all is working like a charm, even performance is not as bad as i thought it would be
btw, GREAT JOB keep up the good work, it is appreciated
i've read in some forum (not sure if it was on XDA) that someone had solved the problem by putting a extra hole next to mic
i'm decided to try it out since i'm tired having to use a headset when speaking on the phone with everyone :?
i'm used to open up/repairing laptop's at my work so how hard can it be, right? -WRONG! -i cant find the damn mic!!
i opened up the BA but i cant find it anywhere...
next to the reset and hardreset buttons theres nothing that looks like a mic...
does someone know where is it??
thx much
Its just next to the reset button at the bottom of the XDA IIs. When you open the cover, the mic is fixed in a kind of slot, just in the same spot where you see a hole next to the reset hole in the cover.
Hi everyone,
I've bought an LG KS20 few weeks ago, and I've found it had important problem. In fact, it seems that I'm not the only one to have noticed this problem (French forum here).
Details :
During a phone conversation, the screen always shut off (so that you don't click on it with your cheek), and generally the microphone also turns to MUTE MODE. In fact, I can perfectly listen to my friend, but he can't anymore!! I have to move the joystick, or click somewhere to EVENTUALLY fix the problem.
This issue randomly comes up during a conversation.
Some people says they brought their phone to the seller, sent it for repairing, but got it back with the same problem.
The request :
Are there some phone genius that could have a look on it? Is XDA Community more able than LG Electronics for upgrading ROM ?
Thank you very much for your services.
i have same this problem
Well, I don't have a LG KS20 but I have a HTC Kaiser. Both phones are a bit similar, even having the same chipset. Kaiser did have this "feature" of turning of the screen during a call, but that would not mute the mic.
If you are brave, check it and see if there are registry keys like this:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\Sleep
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastDormantDisplayDuringCall
Try disabling them, setting their value to zero. Hopefully your device will not sleep while you're talking.
I took this from KaiserTweaks, maybe it works for your phone too. And be careful not to mess up with anything else on your registry .

Some news about this problem?

I think that we have to keep our phone busy.
Try to run the media player in the background with a file continuously
Any news guys;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Hi there.
I dont think this is specific to my HTC Herm300 but a general Windows Mobile thing, if not please feel free to move this thread to the HTC forum. ;-)
Anyway, I couldnt find a mod or anything for it and apperantly no one else is bothered by this... but I really dont like the choices I have concerning ringstyles.
Theres Vibe than Ring, which produces a much to long vibration followed by the ringtone wiht no further vibration... Or there is Vibrate AND Ring which results in an endless continous Vibration accompanied by the ringtone...
But damn it to hell there is no way to get this thing vibrating every fiew seconds while the mp3 ringtone is playing.
Do I have to live with that or can anyone help me? (or point me in the direction where I can help myself)
And am I really the only one bothered by this?
Anyway, thx for any help that might come...
Cheers
?
I also want an answer to the problem but I didn't know how to describe without sending a reply. lol
No help huh?
Well can anyone confirm this is WM6 related, and not only on Hermes?
I am not giving up on finding a way to alter the ring styles... so maybe I can atleast be shure in which direction I have to look.
I have the same 'problem' on my HTC Touch (Elf) with WM6. I hope there is a way to change it.
I also have the vibrating Problem on my Asus P535 WM6.
I hope that there will be any Solution for this.
Really becoming a problem with unlocked HTC Arrive. I have looked everywhere on every forum for a solution to the in adequate volume that I have, especially on the ringer and text. I’ve looked at Reg edits with nothing helping. I have read all about Diagnostic codes but that doesn’t do any good if you can’t get to the volume setting. So my question is, has anyone else ever heard of any fix for this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
