Really becoming a problem with unlocked HTC Arrive. I have looked everywhere on every forum for a solution to the in adequate volume that I have, especially on the ringer and text. I’ve looked at Reg edits with nothing helping. I have read all about Diagnostic codes but that doesn’t do any good if you can’t get to the volume setting. So my question is, has anyone else ever heard of any fix for this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't think you will find this, (I hope you do) but it seems impossible to implement if you are not the cprog program...

is it so hard that no one wants to tackle it?
I just got the Cingular Siemens SX-66 (using T-Mobile through it) and while setting up the simple things on the phone I noticed that the volume level on the incoming call ringer is REALLY low. I turned it all the way up from the little volume control at the top of the screen but it really did not help much. Is there anything that really can be done? I have tried different ringers to see if any were louder to no avail. Can I somehow import one that is louder or something?
Can't help I'm afraid, I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a while but with no success. I'll be eagerly watching this thread...
Let's solve this together!
OK guys, same problem here. Any body knows if a firmware upgrade will fix this? I'm a hardware engineer so I am so damn tempted to bust it open and find an easy hardware change that will fix this problem for good. If anybody has access to the "Servicing manual" for the blue angel please post a message here! I can then try to figure it out. ANy other hardware hacks, web links to servicing the Blue Angel will be VERY appreciated.
Cheers.
till then ...darn it...missed calls.

hi, crystalrf,
have you found a way to boost the volume yet?
I know there is an answer to this question all ready as I found it several months ago. I have searched high and low and could not find it.
Please could you help me as I would like to stop the beep when you dial some-one.
If you find the existing link please let me know how you found it.
Thanks.
Is it a common glitch for the jogger to go mad and just scroll round the screen. Locking the phone then unlockikng it fixes it. I just wondered if everyone has this problem.
Start>Settings>Sounds>Keypad control (all the way down).
As for the JOGGER I turned it off because it randomly move around and doesn't really work. I remember using the offical RUU 1.33.422.1 rom and the JOGGER worked fine. I think it's because they turned the sensitivity all the way down (lower than what the custom ROM allowed).
Searched in several forums but could not find anything, so apologies in advance if I missed it and please post the link.
Intermittently the sounds quit working for all alarms, events, phone, etc... I go into Sounds & Notifications to test and again, no sound. Soft reset corrects the issue, but it will come back again.
No extra media players installed, only the standard from the orignal ROM. I have Lotus Traveler installed which adds a sound event. On another PDA (Touch HD) I have BB Connect installed and it displays the same problem.
FWIW I have also seen this behavior on Kaisers and Touch HDs.
Thanks in advance for any ideas or, even better, a solution.
Sorry I can't help but I've had a similar problem. The slider sound doesn't work! Even after reset! Try changing it and still nothing! The rest of the sounds still works but they seems much quieter than normal! I don't think I've installed anything dodgy! Just seemed to happen! Any help would be great!
Thanks
same issue found in my Diamond as well. Maybe it's an issue in WinMo 6.1 in general
Actually, none of the sounds work! Just makes a noise when you change the volume! Soft reset still doesn't help!
Does anyone know what I could try please?
I have the same problem with my Touch Pro2. Sometimes suddenly the volume goes way down even though it shows its at its max. The volume is really soft and you cant hear much.
Also when I receive certain notifications I hear a small click which is proberly the first 0.01s of the notification sound it tries to play.
Count me in.....same here. Wonder, if it´s a hardware issue or a driver problem.....
Hoping for an official WM6.5 ROM soon...
Thanks for the feedback. I can tell you that this happens with AT&T Tilt running stock ROMs/WM6 too.
I am still searching for an answer and if I find one I will post it.
The "marcini.thinkblu-tilt2 vol increase.cab" posted elsewhere on this forum makes the volume level on my TP2 tolerable (and thank you for that!) but I still have one issue...
Whenever I turn my phone off and then back on, the volume level resets to somewhere in the middle. I know it is petty, but I hate fumbling around with the volume to raise it back up. I want it to stay at the maximium level *always*.
How can I force the my phone to always boot up with the headset volume set to the highest setting? Thanks!
probably a registry setting somewhere here. Back up your registry (or phone) before making changes.
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InCall
Thanks, but I found and tried that one as well as "InCall2" and "InCall3" without any luck.
I also found and tried "SavedInCallVolume" and "SavedVolume" - I think I've tried every setting in the registry that seems like it might have anything to do with volume, but still haven't gotten anywhere. Everytime I cycle power it goes back to the middle setting :-(

I'll PayPal $10 to the first person who gives me a solution for this...

flash another rom that woud solve it. now where is my $10?
I certainly haven't tried all available ROM's, but I'm sure that none of the ones that I have tried handle the volume any differently than any other...
Please make sure you understand what I am asking, point me to a specific ROM that works the way I want, and I will happily send you $10!
