:?: Hi, I have been trying with various PPC printing softwares including HP Mobile Printing with my xda IIs but up to date still without success. Can someone give me some advice. I'm using HP PSC 2400 printer connected via USB to my network server and accessed by wireless Lan. Error message" Printer unable to complete the printing process"

Hi,
I got my new QTek 9090 and created successfully a bluetooth bond for ActiveSync. ActiveSync works fine, but I miss an entry in the menu "Tools" of ActiveSync that lets me connect to my computer.
On my QTek 2020 I got a menu-item that says "Connect via bluetooth...". When I tap that item, my PDA connects to my computers and start to sync. On my QTek 9090 I can't find a similar menu-item!
How can I add this?
Thanks in advance!
Sam
I noticed this too as a difference between the XDA II and the M2000 (or XDA IIs)
They only way I can see to initialise the sync from the phone is to go into the bluetooth manager, tap and hold on the activesync connection (pairing) and select Connect, which kicks off activesync.
Hi,
Anyone got a suggestion to create a kind of a shortcut to this?
Thanks,
Sam
Helle everyone,
i need help with the XDAIIs that i'm having. Before buying the XDA, i was using my Sony Ericsson K700i as an external modem via infrared to connect online for my laptop (Fujitsu S Series Lifebook) . Because GPRS is expensive and my area doesn't have WiFi, so i'm using the XDA's phone capabillities to dial up online.
My problem now is my laptop was able to detect the XDA via infrared but wasn't able to dial up at all (there is no dial tone at all).
I've heard that this it is possible dial up online using the phone function of the XDAIIs and there is a lot of settings required for the XDA and the laptop, but i'm willing to do it because this porblem has affected my work a lot.
Please help me, anyone...
Hello all, my big question:
Has anyone successfully used the Wireless Modem application via BT to connect a laptop/desktop to the internet via GPRS?
Some more specific data about my problem:
This is what I am trying to do (unsuccesfully for now): Connect my bluetooth enabled laptop to my PDA2k (with Bluetooth and GPRS). I have tried both the Socket Bluetooth CF card (Bluesoleil Bluetooth stack) and a USB BT stick (generic Windows XP SP2 BT stack). Can't get it to work.
The error I get is Error 734: " The PPP Protocol Control Link was terminated".
This error occurs after the connection has gone OK through all the steps (dialing, checking username and password, etc), right after "registering your computer on the network", and then it drops. So it seems the connection goes through (all devices are "speaking" to each other OK), but the connection is dropped because of a screwed up setting or something else in the configuration.
On the other hand, the laptop to PDA2k connection via a USB cable works perfectly and I can get online. It is just BT that is not working.
Thanks,
Fernando
Follow up
Hello all:
I just performed four "experiments" to figure out what's going on with this:
(a) USB stick (Windows XP SP2 BT stack) paired with a PDA2k (most recent stack downloaded from club imate).
(b) Socket CF card (Bluesoleil BT stack) paired with a PDA2k (most recent stack downloaded from club imate).
(c) USB stick (Windows XP SP2 BT stack) paired with a HP iPaq 6315 (Widcomm BT stack).
(d) Socket CF card (Bluesoleil BT stack) paired with a HP iPaq 6315 (Widcomm BT stack).
Experiments (a) and (b) failed, while (c) and (d) worked flawlessly.
If the scientific method works, there is most definitely something defective with the BT stack in the PDA2k.
I wonder if the solution is to load another BT stack. Any ideas?
Thanks all,
Fernando
Have a look at my post in this thread
I have a couple HP printers with IR ports.
I'm trying to print without any success. (Say: word document, tools, file, beam document)
The Qtek recognizes the printer (It shows it's brand / mode) but ends with FAILED
How should I do it?
Thanks in advance,
Joao Caldeira
As far as I know, the applications have to support printing, which isn't very often.
If you develop applications in .NET CF, you can use a printing SDK from HP.
There is another printing SDK, which name i have forgotten.
HP Mobile Printing
Search for "HP Mobile Printing" on the HP-Website and install it. Using this Application, you can print via IR,BT or WiFi. For instructions contact me again, i don't have the time to write it doen right now.
Hope, this will help you.
Have a nice Weekend,

I had O2 XDAIIi with Windows MObile 2003 SE and the Activesync 3.8 as the syncing conduit on my PC.
Now I have purchased a new JasJar, with Windows MObile 5.0.
I had lots of 3rd party software and data on my O2 XDA IIi for which I had taken the backup, on my PC thru Acitve sync 3.8. Now I want to restore that data to my new Jasjar. Can anybody tell me how to do it. Activesync 3.8 does not detect Jasjar. I have to load the Activesync 4.0, which overwrites all the data of Acitivesync 3.8 backup.
