hey there guys....was just wondering if theres a way to open or execute .sis on xda II.....i believe .sis is for seimens mobile....but is there a way to open it on xda II or any software tht can read a number on ur pda and block tht specific numbers incoming call on ur cell ??
best regards
thanks
jeetz
No , u cannot open *.sis files , they are For Symbian Operationg systems , u can only open and run java applications that belongs to cell phones using Java Midlet manager ; As for the incoming call blocker , there is a Software " Smartfilter Pro " , i think this is the best that can be found , but don't expect Miracles

Hey you can play sis files or orther nokia softwares on your pocket pc as pocket pc applications .. Try "java midlet manager" to open sis files i hope this will solve your problem . it is pre installed on xda IIs
Can someone rip the .cab file so we can use it on the xda 2 or is it not compatible?

hi once again....earlier i had posted that i uninstallled msn messenger from ma o2 xda II by mistake and wanted a setup file or ne sort of help to install it again.....well what i have done now is i have installed the msn messenger for pocket pc 2002 from http://www.download.com/MSN-Messenger-Pocket-PC-2002-/3000-2163_4-10179933.html?tag=lst-0-1 and have updated it with latest update of msn messenger for windows mobile 2003 from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/msnmessenger/ppc-eula03eng.mspx it seems to open up fine no error's nothing.... but i cant seem to login to the msn messenger it gives me invalid username and password where as i have made sure several times that i am typing down the correct information.
any sort of updates on this wud be great help....or ne help to get back to the original msn messenger for windows mobile 2003

hi once again.....allll the setttttings that i mentioned in the second post did work out great....just had to reset my o2 xda II so tht the new settings take effect......
in case in future if ne one does fall into this **** like i did.....then i am sure all the steps i did willl help them out for SURE...
regards
jeetz
Another point....IS there an update for the slightly naff MSN present in WM2003? It would be a vast improvement if we could see just the emoticons instead of the text version. Obviously for data reasons perhaps having all the display picture stuff wouldn't be a good idea, but it would be nice for it to be updated now and again.
Cheers
Anthony
nah mate......no update like this uptilllll now, as far as i know if there was one then i guess i would haf found it on the net after hours n hours of search on google n yahoo and it even wud haf solved my problem for the first question on this forum....

Hello all... I did not see this thread around...
I am sure many of you use some software to send sms from the pc through your HTC.
I know HTC can do this through Outlook 2007 using third parties..
Is there a recent software that I can use to send sms through pc..typing them on the keyboard instead of mobile?
Nokia PC Suite does it, A software for Sagem does it as well..
HTC???

Google is your friend!!
Google was not friendly enough with me this time
The software My Mobiler might be useful because it lets you control the whole phone including all functions.
http://mymobiler.com/
It's also freeware
that my mobiler is cool...
any idea if there is anything faster?
like the nokia suite?
I use "Jeyo Mobile Companion". It's not free though.

will try the outlook extender as i use outlook a lot
$20 but i am so fed up....why doesn't htc issue this s****
this application is free..!!
i have tried this and works well ,smoothly and its free !!
http://www.efficasoft.com/mobileexpress/index.html
it lets you manage, send etc.. sms from pc .(.install this software from pc to you phone..). i have found, that on my laptop, running xp, works smoothly ..on my pc running vista , i battle a bit to connect ( you use usb cable to connect to pc )..think it is my firewall or some setting ...
but overall works great and very handy..just be careful to download correct version ,not smartphone version .(.but follow link and you will be ok..)
it also lets you edit, contact , delete sms etc ...
further..... ..also free...!!
you can also try on our own.... xda website... desktop sms manager ...here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324684 i have also tried this and it works fine , a bit limited on functions ,but you can send sms etc from pc ...
then, My Mobiler.... according to me, is more of controlling phone , from pc and is a good application ,but not for sending sms , etc ..these ,other two applications is made just for sms ,contacts ...etc ,is way smoother ...and easy to use..
hope your problem is solved ,
good luck

Efficasoft Mobile Express seems to not work correctly with WM6.5. At least i can´t send messages. They stay in outgoing box. But software works great with Wm6.1

Hi there, how can i develop an application that can read out sms messages from my touch hd (WM 6.5) ?
i want develop on my desktop pc an application that can read out all sms messages from my phone (tools are vista, visual studio 2008)
greetings
SMS
Should be able to using the Microsoft SAPI (speech) library. Would need to add a reference to it first in your desktop app. Look under the COM tab when adding a reference.
I've done it on Delphi / C++ but I believe it should be the same on C#.

I forget who's Rom I was using. Probably juicy for touch pro1. there was one person that every time she sent a text to me it was marked urgent and my phone would read it out loud to me as it came in. and I mean every time.
What setting in the phone did that?
Does anyone know if this new video enabled version of Skype is being ported to Windows Mobile (6.1) devices like the Touch Pro? Any timeframe.
Thanks,
Joe
Skype for Windows Mobile is not supported anymore ...
certainly not.
why?
because winmo 6.1 is purely and simply dead.
because winmo 6.5 is also in the graveyard with his little brother.
because skype has made already an end to this both plateform.
hahah hardly
wm6.x is hardly dead. is much more versatile than i-app-phone or goo-OS app crap...
Skype is losing revenue because there will be many that wont switch to limited os app based garbage.
cell phones in general are becoming dead in the beginnings of losing like landlines were 10 years ago... and there are other voip alternatives. you just have to look for them.
Salt at all, someone can tell me if there is a link to download a version of Skype running on a Samsung i900 Omnia with windows mobile 6.1 pro.
thank you for your interest.
Hi yann73 , in yahoo or in google search for "skype windows mobile" , look for the link that says "Skype Windows Mobile ... v3.0.0.256" , download file from a trustworthy site.
There are two types of files out there, one is a cab, another is exe, same version. Get the "exe" version.
Connect your Windows Mobile phone with your windows (pc/desktop/laptop) computer thru ActiVeSync type of sync software.
then run/execute the 'exe' version installer, it will install necessary stuff in ur computer first, then rightaway it will start to transfer+install inside ur Phone.
In my experience, i wasnt able to make the cab version worked on Phone, but the exe version when installed in Phone sync connection then it worked, ur experience may vary.
If audio doesnt work properly then you will also need the "WM Audio Redirector.zip" or AudioRoute, a free soft, search here in xda-dev.
As below phones are similar to mine, it should work on all of them : HTC Touch Diamond, Touch Diamond2, Touch HD, Touch HD2, Touch 3G, Mogul/Titan 6800, Kaiser / TyTN II , P4550 & Samsung Omnia i900.
That will allow to use Audio & Text chat . No Video chat support on that version of skype , unless some1 makes a VideoRoute software for it, like AudioRoute.
Hey guys,
if you want whatsapp on your HTC windows 6.5 mobile, just install whatsapp application which is available on many sites,
but only the apps which are for Samsung devices like for eg, CORBY or any other JAR installable file for samsung
it runs smooth on windows mobile.
im using HTC touch diamond2 works flawless
Thanks
:victory:

i used JBED.....and i got the verification code......instantly....check on some other device if u have...maybe because of service provider
You can test spb shell for windows mobile. I had for a long time a wm5 and spb was so awesome.

Same with me ( Jbed ); did not receive any verification code, but when clicking to ask it, the midlet closes. I read in whatsapp faq's that it must be enabled to interact
On the other side, if this midlet works, you'll have given a solution to all my friends with android/blackberry who hated me 'cause I'm using WM with no chance of whatsapp
have faith and try using some jars for whatsapp ....it will work
all i can say
Dont work
Hello everybody,
I have an Sony Ericsson Aspen and I have my Verify Code but over Android.
After I click on Activate it says Wrong Verify Code...

Whatsapp will not work on WM6x. So far, I have not heard of a hacked version that works. Furthermore, Whatsapp has been constantly reviewing their software, so any hacked version will have to constantly keep up with their revisions.

There is a very similar app called "telegram". It's open source and they share the source code, APIs etc. So maybe someone would be interested in developing a version for winmo? its already made available for android, iOS, windows phone, desktops, etc. by unofficial developers.
