Hi,
I have a question about the Notifications tab in the settings. Here are events stored for when a mail arrives etc. Now i've found out that those are stored in the registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Notifications but i have no idea how i can program these... I want to make an event that checks on internet for updates and if there is an update then vibrate the phone an add a bubble...
If someone has any pointer where to seach or how to do it...

Someone please tell me that there is a way to have a notification alert for when you receive email to a subfolder within OutLook.
I can't deal will all my mail dumping into INBOX. I have about 30 rules that move my email around on the Exchange server. However, unless there is a new message in the root INBOX, I receive no notification!
USELESS!!!! ARG!!!!
I agree totally. It really sucks - I separate out my important emails to folders, and ONLY receive notifications for the junk that goes directly to my inbox...
Surely there's a way around this?
Same problem,
I hope they have solved this in the upcoming new rom version(s) with Exchange Push ...
Why do my Emails auto Delete or disapear after i read them and the phone does its auto check to see if i have anymore new email? i want the Emails to Archive or atleast stay on my device till i choose to delete them...
If your connected to an imap server (i.e. Yahoo mail) then it could be a setting that only shows the last 3 days of e-mails.
Go into the Account settings for your e-mail setup and you'll see this option. It doesn't actually "delete" the e-mails, it just erases them from the phone when they get old enough -- but they still exist on the server.
You can set it for longer, or just have ALL e-mails from your server show up on your phone. (if this is the case).
After i read any message, After Every (sync *every 5 min* cant find DP settings ANYWHERE on the phone) it removes what i read! and its really frustrating! iv tried changing the setting to show "Entire Inbox" instead of "Last 3 Days" and still nothing... it just removes what iv read every sync....
My mail syncs automatically with mail2web to my dash.
I think I remember that on WM5 I had to clean my mailbox from time to time, so that it doesn't get clogged up with messages.
It seems that on WM6.1 this is not neccessary any more - messages seem to automatically disappear from my mailbox from time to time. I don't know how many exactly are saved, but now I have only 3 days worth of e-mail on my phone. Anything older was automatically removed.
I would really like to be able to adjust this, or disable auto-delete of messages altogether. Sometimes I have messages that I'd like to keep for longer than 3 days...
Does anyone know how to disable or adjust this behaviour of outlook in WM6.1?
I would love to know this as well. I assumed it was a corporate setting that was pushed to my phone as I am connecting to our email servers via Exchange push but since others have ~3 days I would now guess it is a client side restriction.
Also, I have nothing in my sent emails and all but the last few minutes of deleted items. For instance if I accidentally delete an email I can go grab it real quick but there is usually only 1 or 2 emails in my deleted items when I check. Any other time the deleted items folder is completely empty.
Hi Guys,
I dont know about any other service other than Microsoft Push from Exchange, and to change the number of days that the email is kept you need to go to
ActiveSync -> Menu -> 4- Configure Server -> Next -> Next -> Scroll down to E-mail and click on Menu -> Settings and there you have the option to set any of the following:
1 day
3 days
1 week
2 weks
1 month
All
Regarding deleting them, the device will not move deleted items to the deleted folder and keep them there until you either delete them from your deleted folder on the device or on exchange. Most companies will enforce a rule that says when you close your Outlook it automatically deleted your deleted items, in which case you can go to the recovered deleted items on Outlook and recover email from the past weeks/months depending on your companies policies.
Hope that helps.
thank you!
Thank you, I think that was the setting I was looking for. I had it set to 3 days.

Oh, sweet! That's exactly what I was hoping for.
I guess I should grumble something about how convoluted MS is in placing these types of settings and with all my clicking and investigating I would have never found this. But that would just be in vain now wouldn't it.
Thanks for sharing this.
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with emails for contacts showing up. What I mean is if you go into a contact and then slide across to emails, it should show all the emails from that specific contact.
This has always worked for me if something was in my inbox, but that makes it nearly useless unless you keep everything in your inbox without deleting it. I use GMail, so I set pocket outlook to also sync 60 days worth of the "All Mail" folder, the spot where all of your email goes after you archive it.
The problem is that while the emails show up under contacts if they are in the inbox, they DON'T show up if they are in the "All Mail" folder. I tried restarting my phone and also waiting in the email tab overnight just in case it took it really long to filter through the emails, but no-go
Does anyone know what to do? This would be a really nice feature if it worked!
New question: has ANYONE here actually gotten that to work?
