Looking for a carrier logo? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi,
Many of us have a BlueAngel devices branded for O2, or T-mobile, but only few of us really have these carriers. I would like to build a database of logos, that you could simply copy to your /Windows directory, rename the file to carrierlogo.gif and when you press the Phone button, the logo of your operator appears on the display. (Make sure the file is read-only.)
Please send me images form other operators so I can upload them to the link below. Images must be GIFs, 120x20 pixels.

For those who want to study...

For those who want to study a way of entering on htc europe ftp server.
Open ftp.htceurope.com on your PDA with Internet Explorer.
In my P3300 it opens a page without asking for username or password but the characters are only squares.
P3300 WM6.1 PTG
if characters are only squares.. what`s the point entering there ?
did you open the page?
do you know anithing about the subject posted here?
my guess is "NO"...
On pc it asks for username / password.
So it will on your HTC, cause IE on phone cant give you logon screen you see the squares.
You won't find any usefull information in it i guess
not quite, the squares are because of the encoding of the page. You see parts of the page like title as "software bank" and a a place to put serial number of the device but you can't see the text between them.
The page is being rendered in Japanese characters - hence the square boxes
What it says is ( rather bad translation)

any ways i have attatched the o2 splash screen nb and nbh files. all you have to do find the RUU update utility which is on this forum somewhere and flash the nbh file.
i included the splash .nb just in case you wanna change it to suite your CID ( you have to build your own nbh file using the nbh generator)
hope this helps

[REQ] HTC start menu icon

Guys I have seen cabs floating around to change the top bar icons - what I was after is a cab to change the startmenu icon to the HTC logo...
Done the usual search thing to no avail - be great if someone would package up a cab for me.
Bump. I want this too. Just want the HTC logo as start logo. Dont want to change the other top bar icons. Just start logo.
Thanks!
yaa that one i also looking for too...
to change the start logo you have to edit the same dll's as for (some) topbar icons (shellres.192.dll). And since guys who edit this one (me too) also change topbar icons, i'm afraid you've to do yourself if you want start icon only.
See here the tutorial.
Here it is...Coloured Top Bar with HTC Logo.
James
can you please post a picture how this coloured top bar lookks like?
thanks so much..
No to sound ungrateful but can you post only the htc start icon and not the coloured bar too? only want start icon to change and not the other task bar icons.
thanks
OK dudes. Here is JUST the htc logo with instructions :
1. Install Start Menu Certificates
2. Copy shellres.192.dll.0409.mui to your Windows folder.
*** The attached dll is for english version. If you have french for example you have to rename the dll to : shellres.192.dll.040C.mui. If you have other language and don't know your code just do a search in windows folder for some .mui files and see their code.
- code for french : 040C
- code for en : 0409
Be sure to backup if you need to replace the .mui file.

post a screen mate ...
after copying the .mui file, your signal strenght icon is also replaced with what ?
kinda hard to believe.
Hard to believe? I followed the instructions (installed start menu certificates, copied the mui file), and the result is:
it's a left over from a previos installed "coloredtopbar" or smtg. i've never installed one of those, and i don't have this problem.

Weird date format under flipclock TF3D

Hello people
I have bought blackstone today and WOW
but there are still a lot of things I ned to learn cos it is a switch from nookia...never used pocket pc or wmo device before...
anyway please help: i have this strange date format under my flipclock.
II 11, 2009
I dont want this - I want 11.2.2009 - is there a possibility to change it to this format?
Please anyone? I have checked the regional settings and they are all OK..
I hope I dont need to do some tough tuning...
EDIT: OK I have found that it indeed is regional settings. When I changed it to US it shows normally...but when I turn it to Slovak (cos I am from Slovakia) it is stupid...is there a registry tweak for this? anyone? please...thx
thanks xdadudes
Try "Diamond TF3D Config", search the forums and you have an option to change the date format.
There is probably an XML file (inside a _manila file) for your language for the home screen.
I had a similar problem, where I selected UK as my region yet the home screen was using the XML file for US, so the date format was incorrect.
This is an extract from another post I made:
sidepa said:
[6] Selecting "English United Kingdom" in my regional settings... still shows "favorites" instead of "favourites" in some of the People menus, and the date on the Home tab is in an American format.
There are 2 manila (XML) files (one US, one GB) for Home, People & People List. Whether you select English US or English UK... manila is using the US version of these files... I don't know why. Find the GB versions of these files (00a49dc2_manila, 4d8aad9e_manila, 5fbd18e6_manila) and rename them to the name of the US versions (1dea52e0_manila, 7fc62a3c_manila, 590ad244_manila). Then edit the page relating to the Home screen (590ad244_manila) and change the date format to "dddd, dd MMMM yyyy" which will give you "Friday, 23 January 2009" instead of the current "Jan 23, 2009".

Click to collapse
If you can find the XML file (inside a _manila file) for your language.... change the date format, and copy it over to your phone... it should do the job!
thank you very much guys...
i am not screwing with this one anymore...
I am not satisfied with TF3D imho it sux...I have regular homescreen with some customization done and I love it
but thank you very much... I will remember this once I get to tflo again (although I doubt that )

Language Support - Region Codes

Hi,
as some of you already know, it seems that there are different Region Codes on the market, which have different languages enabled on the phone.
As an example, a French version has only French and English to choose from (incl. keyboard and dictionary).
Even if you try to install a new firmware from scratch, it doesn't change your language since the firmware reads the Region Code and only installs the language acc. to the code.
Sicne I don't know, where I can find this code on the phone to change it, I would like to find out if I could just overwrite soem files (see below) what I was able to find with the Linda File Manager.
If you open Linda, you can select MyPhone. Navigate to etc/firmware and please tell me how your files look like.
Mine look as follows:
default_france.acdb (123kb)
default.acdb (123kb)
fw_bcm4329.bin (236kb)
yamato_pfp.fw (9kb)
yamato_pm4.fw (9kb)
BCM4329B1_002.002.023.0298.0303.hcd (14.83kb)
Please only from such phones, which are not branded to any Operator.
What I would like to try is to overwrite them with someones files which have another European version.
Thanks
SJ
