O2 XDA IIs WiFi wont turn-on - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Have been having problems in that my WiFi on my XDA IIs would not turn on I could do a soft reset and that would take care of it (kind of a pain); recently doing a soft reset will not turn WiFi on at all. I have not added any additional software and would prefer not doing a hard reset (will if no other options)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you

XDA IIs soft resets coming out of standby

My XDA IIs v1.4 ROM and V1.13 Radio occasionally soft resets itself when I hit the power button to bring it out of stand by. Currenlty I am running Phot0 Contacts Pro v3.01, Phone Alarm and Phone Dashboard. I have done a hard reset and ran without 3rd party software but it will still reset occasionally.
Anyone else experience this issue or have any ideas?
Thank you

XDA Orbit Freezes on Reset

Hi all,
I recently received an O2 XDA Orbit. The Orbit works fine, except that sometimes on doing a soft reset it will hang at the green "Windows Mobile 5.0" welcome screen.
I have left it for periods of time in excess of 30 minutes, and eventually the XDA becomes completely unresponsive (backlight doesn't come on when pressing buttons etc). On doing a consecutive reset, it does exactly the same thing. The only way to resolve it is to do a complete hard reset.
This initially happened when using Sprite Backup. Before doing a backup the program resets the device, and this exact same thing happened. I thought it would be to do with the software, however i have not installed Sprite since but i am getting the same symptoms.
A relative of mine got an Orbit at the same time and hers is having the same problems, yet another relative received one a few months before and his is fine.
I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if anyone can suggest a remedy for it?
I got my orbit too recently but it did not freeze at startup but a white screen flashed up for a few secs. I did a hard reset and then before the o2 extras get installed - a\3 sec countdown will appear on the screen do a quick softreset - stylus in the soft reset hole.
I reckon that will solve your problem as its prob due to the o2 extras.

Was it plugged in when it hung?
It happens both when it is plugged in to my laptop, and when it isn't connected to anything at all.

GPRS freezing requires soft reboot

I am using the O2 WM6 Rom and the GPRS is not responding after flight mode has been restarted.
I turn the flight mode on at night and then back on in the morning, but it requires a soft reset to allow the active sync or IE to connect to the server/internet. I had the same problem with the BB3.7/4.0 ROMs as well. Am I doing something wrong as I never had this issue on WM5.
Help as this is irritating................

WM6 Freeze Screen

Hi, I have a dopod 838pro and recently upgrade to Schap's 3.57a WM6 Rom. It was working fine for the past 2 months, until today where it blackout completely. I soft reset the phone and after the startup screen, it just stop at the windows mobile screen without booting into the system. None of the keys work and i have to take out the battery just to turn the phone off.
Tried a hard reset and the result is still the same. I can't sync with activesync nor do much from the phone.
Anyone out there who has experience something like this and maybe a workaround of it.
Highly appreciate if someone can help. Thanks!!!
After a few hard reset and some luck i manage to get it working again. thanks

Is this a common prob with the BA??

When you turn off the phone option, it will turn on again if its done within 5mins, but it wont turn back on if you leave it off for lets say 30mins. You need to soft reset it for the phone signal to be enabled again.
Is this a common prob with the BA and is there anyway to fix it, Im using wm6. Also enabling the wifi conn takes quite a few attempts after a soft reset.
Hi,
for Wifi, I'm also experiencing the same thing when activate wifi via comm manager.
I thought it may be the ROM that is unstable or have some bugs. I'm myself using WM 6.1 made by xplode.
May be you can try to activate wifi via Start->Settings->Connections->Wifi
If I activate wifi via Start->Settings and so on, I didnt need to do soft reset, the wifi just run fine. Try it. Hope it helps
it seems like a battery problem. i had that problem before, it got fixed when i bought a new battery.
I was thinking that it may be a batt prob.
Yes both are commonly problems
i had both from wifi and softreset with that stupid button and the phone off on... jajaja don t worry is normal to our old darling...
Selling a few batteries if your interested.
