silent Unlocker Tool XDA 3 / MDA 3 - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Does anyone know, if there is a version avaible, that does not show any Popup, means runs silen?

I mean an unlocker for the Extended ROM, which runs in silent mode.

Phone application on O2 XDA Exec...

Hi all.
Just got a new O2 Xda Exec and upgraded it to the latest OS. I installed it in Corporate mode and everything seems fine EXCEPT:
In the Phone application, I have lost the Intellidialing thing that shows my contacts as I dial a number. If I hard reset and install the OS in personal mode it is there, but not in corporate. Is there any way to get this working in corporate mode?
Also, again in the phone application, if I click on the MENU option, on the list I have "Smart Dialing Options" - What is this and is it linked in anyway to the intellidialing thing? When I click on it it doesn't do anything, I am sure on my previous device (XDA mini S) it was there and brought up a menu if I clicked it.
Can anyone help me?
I am also looking for a phone dialing skin that is all black if anyone knows one that is compatible?
Thanks
Merlin

(1) Is XDA Orbit unlocked ? (2) Anyone tried Skype ?

Just a few questions to those that have already bought
1. Is it SIM unlocked ?My XDA Exec was, so I assume O2 is carrying on the tradition ?
2. How is skype performance over wifi ?
many thx
c.
dunno about the sim lock
to use skype you need to boost the CPU to 264Mhz otherwise it can handle voice on skype properly
its easliy done and when done works perfect
I use Skype with it, works very slow, voice does work kind of delayed.... but still.... intrested to know how you over clock it though?

Do a search for 'omapclock', its freeware. I've got my Orbit overclocked to 264mhz and its much zippier through the menus. I've got skype installed as well but haven't got around to trying it via wifi yet.

Hi
I used omapclock - does it but does not keep it all the time??
any suggestions.
Tried the current Skype Version today without overclocking the device.
SkypeOut works great for me AFTER disabling 3 codecs in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Skype/Phone/Audio/DisableCodecs
Put into the field: ILBC G729 EG711U
That disables 3 codecs.
Calls to the Skype-Echo/Sound-Test won't work - but SkypeOut worked fine for me via WiFi - but only through the hands-free speaker of the phone.
Any idea how to use the normal speaker?

I've posted a question in an Eten forum re using the normal speaker. The X500 has an app that switches Skype from the handsfree to the normal speaker.
Still on Skype, a version 2.2 (beta) has been released yesterday that has been optimised to work on 200MHz processors. Is this the one you have tried, and in this case how is the quality in general?
No, I tried the "old" one from December 11.
The German Skype website doesn't provide the new version yet - I had to switch to the English site.
I'll test the new 2.2 Version this evening.
Anyone tested this app (what's it called?) from the x500 to use the normal speaker?

Re. the X500 I'm hoping to receive a reply as to what registry settings need to be changed, and I've also asked if the CAB with the app can be extracted. I'll post the reply when I receive one.
EDIT: StiflersMom - When testing Skype 2.2 could you please try without/with overclocking (if indeed you overclock) and tell us about the separate results?
sooooo, have you unlocked your artemis? i have a MDAc 3, and it is still unlocked, can somebody help me? Please!

I read somewhere that Omapclock settings are lost after switching the phone off. Try BatteryStatus instead (freeware). Despite the name it has several other options, including cpuspeed settings.

Just plonked my Orange sim into an O2 XDA Orbit and works fine so looks like they are sim free.
I have used skype lite version over GPRS. it worked, and i was able to talk to other ppl, but the gprs speed is very slow so my voice was crackling a lot, while other person's voice did come in a bit clear.
will try with wifi sometime soon!
Just used Skype 2.2 over Wifi to my land line and it was as good as any phone no issue so far any way. Pretty sure i wasnt overclocked at the time. I was happy enough to load up £10 quids qorth of credit ( though seems scammy to buy 10 quid credit and have to pay 11.50 :/ inc tax.
Does anyone know a tester to test stabillity of the overclock ? its really dangerious for me i cant help but keep trying a higher oc had at 280 for 5 seconds before i chickened out lol only had less then a day
I have the 3.1 ROM with cube thingy and it has a, um for lack of better word menu bar, i press and hold for a moment to access the options. There you can set the OC to stay on always.
I dont know how far too push it ( i overclock everyhting any way i used to over clock my crt monitor lol ) but without stabillity test i am abit worried i'll screw the rom or somthing.
FYI on the overcloking the hotter it gets usually decreases the mount you can overclock stabally, this prog also shows temp, my one seemed perfectly stable at 247 @ 40c quite warm i had wifi going full and was streaming radio, also shows power pulled its pretty damn neat... i am luvin my orbit i have had it almost 24 hours now lol nd thanks too all the good work done by people have it pretty tweaked and close to near how i want it very quickly a hours instead of days n maybe weeks so thsnks
Ed oh i baught mine off ebay it was a month old when i got it and it was sim unlocked but not CID unlocked. payed £200 seems good to me concidering the tomtom i baught as a prezzy forsomeone came in over £100.

How do I remove the T-mobile WM6 Taskbar Apps

Hello,
Eversince I installed the official T-mobile WM6 NL upgrade on my MDA Vario II (HTC TyTN), I have an application bar on the bottom that I can't remove.
I already tried it in the TASKS with Pocket Controler 6, but I couldn't find the service that runs this.
Sometimes I, accidently push the "Web'n'Walk" button and get the question: "Do you want to go online?".
I also want tor run the HTC Today Theme for WM6, but that doesn' work. I expect the application bar is the cause of this...
Who can help me, please?
Delete Regkey: HKLM\Init\Launch92->TrayAp.exe and make a Soft Reset.
Maybe the Number differs (LaunchXX), important is the Value TrayAp.exe.

Tilt2 - Can't Bluetooth dial when device is locked

On the Tilt2 I can't Bluetooth dial the phone when it is locked. This was not the case with prior Windows Mobile phones. Is this a 6.5 thing? or a AT&T bloat thing? Is there a workaround?
Thanks,
Mike
I don't think it's a 6.5 thing. I think the ATT ROM has some strange Bluetooth program in it. It's a great deal different than the cooked 6.5 ROMs that I had on my Kaiser. I'm having some Bluetooth file transfer issues that I never had with the other 6.5 ROMs I've used...
I think its in the new Bluetooth-Stack of TP2, got the same issue with my german T-Mobile MDA V.
In Germany it's against the law to touch your phone while driving... Very anoying issue!
Here is another thread started back in July with the same issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540502
I have sprint with the stock 6.1 rom. I also think that there should be registry key that allows this to work. It seems that some of the newer 6.5 roms allow this to work.
This only happens when locking with the built in Windows Screen Lock.
Can someone with a working 6.5 rom please post the following registry info to see if there is a way to enable the bluetooth dialing on the roms that are not working?
HKLM\Software\Widcomm\General
When you get the unable to dial message it puts a new key in there called DontAskHfpCallFailOnDeviceLock and I figure that the bypass might be in this same area.
On my Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 (Build 21874.5.0.83), I just stumbled on a solution that seems to work: Go to Settings:All Settingsersonal:Voice Command, uncheck Password Protected. After doing this, I was able to Bluetooth dial when the phone was locked.
On my phone, after I had unchecked Password Protected and Bluetooth dialed successfully with the phone locked, I was able to check Password Protected again and it keep on Bluetooth dialing with the phone locked. However, when I did a soft reset, I could no longer Bluetooth dial on the locked phone until I unchecked Password Protected again.

Got I new LG KS20

Hey guys i got i brand new LG KS20 and I'm new to these type of phones. I need some advices.
First of all I don't want to use anything illegal. If it's needed I can buy winmo 6.5 or whatever if it's possible.
Should I upgrade winmo ?
Is it legal ?
Are there any update buttons in the phone for it ?
Can I update firmware or some kind of that stuff legally ?
Is this ie supports flash ?(I haven't tested it yet)
If I ever do a mistake while upgrading are there any ways to turn all the way back ?
I have a cd but I don't think it has winmo 6.0 installer. What if anything happens to winmo how could I format and install winmo again ?
Hello and welcome to the forum.
Did a quick search on the forum you will find all the answers to the questions you ask yourself, and more!
Can you tell us your OS version of your ROM, date and other information available in Settings / System Information.
Thank you and goodbye.
Arthemus.

1. on Today menu, tap the row showing the carrier company name would open a manager, which you can enable/disable Phone/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi there
2. Extra plug-in is needed to view flash content, but the processor of KS20 is TOO slow and I strongly discourage you to do so (or probably you phone will hang when there are flash advertisement)
3. Windows Update does not work is normal and it never works, and is it not necessary to do why (Why not directly flash another ROM to update?)
4. If S2U2 locks too soon, disable its auto lock function and let it locks only when the phone sleeps
5. The phone is fully charged in just more than 1 hours when the charger or 2-3 hours when using USB, it's normal
and another thing is the start menu's background. How can I change it without changing the today background
also i searched for stopping the sent message notification sound but i couldn't find
Should I charge the phone when the battery is empty.
Does stopping the charging in the middle harm batterys life or something

for lithium-ion batteries
it is harmful when you either ofter fully charge or fully discharge the battery
the battery usually have a longer lifespan if you don't use it up and don't charge it to full
I really need to install flash for opera mobile and internet explorer mobile. Watching videos with buffering in media player is really painful. I really need flash. So can you help me with it
