Hi, I have the IMate PDA2k (Blue Angel).
Here is my question. When you are connected via Bluetooth Headset and GPRS you get the little icon at the top (the one that would normally show if you are not using bluetooth and just GPRS and you got a missed call, the one with the bubble that its trying to tell you something). Now when I run bluetooth headset and gprs it shows the bubble icon. Everytime I load my phone up I think I had a missed call or a SMS message. Then I go to click on it to check and it just shows the GPRS icon and bluetooth headset icon.
Is there any way to change this? To have them appear side by side? I think it did this on the HP 6315 but I am not sure..
I know that wisbar would do this but they still are working on their phone edition version.
Thanks!!
John

Hi,
I have an O2 Blue Angel, and I'm keen to use it with:
- a BT headset for phone calls
- a BT GPS mouse for satnav
- a BT link to another mobile for GPRS intenet access (not available on the sim I need to use in the XDA)
Is it possible and realistic to have all three BT links working at the same time?
Cheers

Hi Peter,
I have used multiple bluetooth connections with no problems (after initial problems on 1st release of XDA II). You could however have a problem with trying to connect to gprs and using your headset to make a call, BT GPS & Jabra BT200 work fine simultaneously (when XDA II & TomTom are in the mood to play together!) but mine always disconnects gprs when I receive or make a call.
Thanks, Chop. That's good news.
I may not have a problem with the GPRS disconnecting as I'll mainly be using it for small and infrequent GPS tracking and traffic updates. It might be a pain to have to reconnect though, if my GPS solution (currently CoPilot) doesn't automatically do so...
Cheers
I can not dial up using a bluetooth phone. Does any one esle have that same problem?
Hi! Im using an iMate PDA2K with TomTom navigator 5.1 and a GlobalSat BT 338 receiver. Everything works but sometimes after using TT,I notice that the bluetooth icon in the lower tray has disappeared.I then have to go and click on the Run BT Tray file in the windows/startup folder to get it back.
anyone know why this is happening and the solution for this?
thanks in advance.

Hi
Cant help but I have a very similar problem.
Tomtom turns my BT off on exit from tt.
On some occassions the whole of BT manager and settings have frozen!
hope someone can help!
Just configure ir for normal cable gps instead of bluetooth...
hi
what is ir? what steps do i need to take?
I think the "ir" was a typo for it.....
I have configured it for "other wired GPS receiver and like I said, it works fine but sometimes (more often lately) when I exit from TT, the BT icon is not there in the system tray...
Have you got anything like the O2 active interface loaded onto the device, - if so get rid of it. This causes all sorts of instability, Once deleted mines been great, and with the new ROM from O2, its even better - Mike
nope, mine is the iMate version without any of the O2 stuff....
it's like the BT icon disappears randomly from the system tray....going to File Explorer and then the windows/startup folder and clicking on Run_BTTray gets it back.....and the BT works fine too..... :?
I have the 1.40 iMate ROM and apart from this, every thing seems to be peachy.....anyone got any clues what's going on????something is "closing" the BT in the system tray..how do I find out what it is and stop it....
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and hoping that you can help me out with an issue I have. I have a T-Mobile Wing and noticed that when I connect my H700 Mototrola Mono bluetooth headset that there is no icon present on the taskbar to let me know that it is connected. The only headset icon that is displayed is when the phone software is brought up in order to make a call.
Are there any apps or tweaks out there that offer this feature? Thanks!

4GB Sd Card:confused
Here we go! Took a while to find it, and hope this is the one you are looking for. Use search link in my signature to search for what you want in this forum!
Thanks for the response.
I went and looked through your recommendation and it seems that it only allows one to turn on and off the bluetooth feature. I'm currently able to do that through an existing icon that I have.
What I need is an indicator (Headset Icon) that would show up in the taskbar to show that the headset is connected.
Thanks anyway. All help is appreciated. Someone out there has the answer.

I'm looking to have access to the Blackstone phonebook when I connect it in rSAP mode to my Audi MMI.
Because I dont have the very brand new MMI with harddisk navigation and new integrated phone) I can only select numbers from SIM card.
Any comments/suggestions?
I've got an Audi A6 and I use software from jetwaremobile.com to sync my HTC with the MMI.
First try to install the demo version and then look for a config file that lets you SWITCH PHONEBOOKS (between SIM and Outlook).
In my Audi I've got to sync the Outlook Phonebook, Incoming/ Missed/ Outgoing calls and signal strenght.
NOTE: Do not try the AUDI MMI configuration that appears on the web page. It's not necessary and doesn't work.
Mode Handsfree vs. rSAP
thx for your answer.
It sounds to me you are connected in "handsfree mode" - could you check the small sign at the MMI display?
Should show 2 x symbols (1 bluetooth-symbol and 1 signal bar symbol) - right?
I have got the same issue with my VW Passat. It worked fine with Nokia phones, but I also cannot get the phone book over SAP with Win Mob. Tried all version patches etc. But have not been able to find a solution.
The work-around: Copy the needed contacts to your SIM, hide SIM contacts in the phone and let the car sync with the SIM card. It is not the best solution but at least it works.

Teh reason why...
The reason is the use of a proprietary use of a Nokia phone unit in the car of VAG in the past.
All new cars are able to communicate in the right way of bluetooth..
(I tried it successfuly with my HTC Touch HD and a brand new A6 - all worked perfect!)
Did you use the "Handsfree" profile in the Audi, cause I know this works fine? I've tried this with a few rentals.
The problem arises as soon as you want to connect using the Bluetooth SAP profile. In my Passat I have no other option as SAP and I actually like this function, just this phone book issue...
Handsfree
I dont like "Handsfree" because I have to use my inbuilt phoneunit of my Audi - and so I need the SIM access- Biggest advantage is the us of an external antenna with very strong signal.
Nobody else with a hint?

Sorry for the delayed answer.
Yes I've got two symbols, the bluetooth and the signal bar.
I realized that symbols on MMI depends on the implementation of the bluetooth protocol of the phone. For instance, with sony-ericsson I used to have bluetooth, signal bar, SIM entrys (not phone contacs), incoming, outgoing, missed calls, etc.
But with Motorola the only thing I used to get was the bluetooth symbol (no contacts, calls, etc.)
This is exactly what happend when I first connected my HTC, so I searched for a solution. Since I have JetweareMobile I've got the same features than with sony-ericsson, and even more, because I can sync both SIM and PHONE contacts.
It's nicely resolve because when you toggle to PHONE CONTACTS, you get your contact's names in the MMI with a /W, /H and /M for work, home and mobile numbers (you may have several numbers per contact)
If you have the bluetooth car kit and you're having problems, give it a try.
Same result without jetwaremobile.com
ok pitaXDA - thx for your answer.
So I was right - your are using the HTC in "Handsfree" mode - this works fine with the standard Bluetooth Software installed on the HTC - you will not need this extra peace of software.
I don't like the handsfree-mode, because it only uses the Bluetooth connection for the phonebook.
I'm using the rSAP mode - because I want to use the external phone antenna of my A6 and also the phone funtion at the HTC is disabled (like Airplane mode) to save power. The disadvantage for me is the use of phonenumbers stored on SIM only (there is no synch of the "normal" phonbook in that mode)
I have a PC computer in my car that I use for many thing and I want to integrate my phone into it by using a Bluetooth voice gateway to play the sound over the speakers in the car and use a mic to talk into. Obviously since this is the Rhodium forum I have a Touch Pro 2 (by Verizon) running OEM ROM. The PC is running XP SP2 with Widcomm bluetooth stack.
Making calls I have no problems. When I'm in range it connects and when I make a call its flawless. The problem is when I get a call. When a call comes in it rings once then answers without me doing anything. And no its not the auto answer feature on a headset (i know that would be the first reply if i didnt say that). The issue is that even though there is a BT link to the PC the voice gateway doesn't connect until in a call. When i make one it connects when i hit send to dial, when i receive a call it connects when it starts to ring and once there is a connection it answers. It would be bad if im driving and someone calls i dont want to talk to or something and it just answers without me knowing.
I tested this theory with my regular BT headset. I had the headset off and I called the phone and once it started ringing i turned on the head set and sure enough it answered.
My question is how do i get it to hold a solid connection all the time like a normal BT headset would? Or make it not answer once a headset is connected?
I tried using the BlueSoleil BT stack also. This one worked ok once everything was connected but every time I came back in range of the PC or turned the PC on I would have to manually connect the voice gateway again.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: oh yea, also I had the same issues with my XV6800 (Titan) and never got it to work right either.
anyone have any ideas on this?
no one on this forum has tried this other than me?
