The MDAII is known to give problems with the BlueGPS software necessary to manage the Royaltek RBT 3000 datalogging function.
During the installation process it mentions: Install GPS serial port driver failure.
Is there anybody who found a solution for this and got it working?

Hi, I don't spech well english, I have the Artemis M650 SPV of the ORANGE, UNLOCKED For one WEEK that they are successful to use the GPS with TOMTOM 6, all perfect. Not sò if because of varies modernizations of ROM, hour does not exist the way to make it to work correctly, has tried whichever configuration and whichever program, someone can help me in order to understand if the gps it is DEAD ! Thanks
You can select the inbuilt GPS Receiver if you have version 6,02 or 6,03 of the TomTom application installed, if this option isn't available try Other NMEA GPS Device/ Baud 9600/ Com Port 4 and it should work fine (unless Orange have been messing around with the hardware) - Mike
Thank's but don't work now, the problem is the last week it work fine on TOMTOM with this config : Programs : com 4 ; Hardware : (NONE) 4800 or 9600 ; Access with flag !!! now I see only the orange led ( GPS ) but don't work ( NO GPS DEVICE ) TOMTOM config : Built-in GPS receiver. There is the system to reset only the GPS Chip? Sorry for my English.
Hard reset the device and see if that clears the fault, if not it looks like the hardware has broken - Mike
Hi all !
I think this forum is the more appropriated to explain my problem.
I've a Orange M650 and GPS work great until last week. Now, the GPS navigation software doesn't catch any satellite ; but the orange led is blinding.
I tried to flash the phone with the touch rom and I've the same problem.
My parameters are :
GPS program port : COM4
GPS hardware port : (None)
Baud rate : 4800
Manage GPS automatically
This parameters worked great under tomtom but today it won't synchronize at all.
Thank you for your help !
There is a problem with the GPS on M650 after flashing another rom. Search the forums for "M650 GPS". There is a patch somewhere. It worked for me, but i still think it's not 100% ok. Better than nothing.
Hi.
Thank for your answer, but I tried several patches (kulbutor, .cab included into Aje's rom, ...), and the result is worst : led doesn't blind anymore
Try flashing the original rom back, if u can find it. If u register on htc.com e-club you can download a rom with windows mobile 6. Unfortunately my artemis seems to have been bought in Italy, so i got a rom in italian. If all else fails, try an authorized service.
I have attached the cabs I installed over one of meschle's touch 4.01 roms. Use both of them.
I've installed SdkCerts and configured the GPS manually in Tomtom and now it works !
Thank you !!!
Hi all,
I curently have an Asus P750 PDA Phone running on Windows Mobile 6.0.
My device came with the dezstinator GPS solution but as I'm blind I have to use a thirdparty GPS solution.
The software I'm betatesting does not find my internal GPS. It seems to be Destinator locked ....
Is it possible to use another GPS solution on this device and if yes, how to unlock my device ?
And a subsidiary question : each time I need to communicate with the developer of this adaptive GPS solution, Code Factory, I have to give many information on my device, I would like to know if there is a little program which could retrieve all my device characteristics (Hardware, OS, Rom etc) and give the possibility to store it in a file in order to send it with all my messages ?
Thank you in advance,
It will not be locked to the Destinator, you will have to set the right COM Port for the Software you are using Com2 or Com 5

I tried all ports, (some of them are marked as reserved) but it does not detect my internal GPS chip.
Com2 is used by a potential external GPS receiver whereas com5 is marked as reserved.

Hi
same thing for me
cant found gps after flashing orange rom to p3300 original rom with tomtom
com4 window manage gps
how i can resolve problem
br
toze
similar problem
Same problem with me...
I have the rom no_nonsense_5 that was supposed to have the gps problem fixed...
I can find the gps device on the com port number 3 with a nice utility i found on the web thath can scan the ports to find out all the devices connected.
But even if i set the hw port on 3 and the automatic gps control i can't see the gps working.
When I start my tomtom navigator 6 i set it up to find the anema (wtf is that?) gps device on port 3 with 4800 I can see the satellite connection working, but really slowly and uncontinously... (also with another utility called gps test).
I cannot understand if the problem is:
-the rom
-tomtom
-hardware
-radio-rom (can anyone explain me what is the "radio-rom"?? I tryed to find out information but I really couldn't find anything... noob...).
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance..
Flash with this ROM and you will have GPS again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410912
...then...if you want...you can try again to flash with your ROM...I've had same problem and now it's solved...

The radio-rom is a special rom for the hardware of your cellphone, something like a firmware to keep it simple. You can flash a different radio rom that might change the battery drain, the signal quality of the phone, wifi, bluetooth, GPS,... without having to reinstall your 'normal' rom.
There is nothing like a 'best' radio rom. Alot of people have different experiences with the same rom. You just need to go and try for yourself.
