Bluetooth on PDA2k observations - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Ok...
Getting less out of driver memory issues lately.
If you perform a soft reset, make sure bluetooth and WLAN are both turned on. I've noticed that WLAN doesn't unload its drivers. That is, once you start getting the out of driver memeory issues, WLAN sometimes doesn't load. However if you start WLAN upon soft reset, it seems to make the driver memory issue less of an annoyance.
So far a full 2 days without a single out of driver memory message. I had soft reset, start bluetooth and wlan. shut off wlan after it loaded and left bluetooth on.
NOTE - have not had much time to play with bluetooth headset issues...but using a bluetooth gps with no problems.

XDAII hanging at soft reset after upgrade to 2003SE

After I upgraded my xda2 to 2003 Se (no extended rom), whenever I soft reset, It typically takes three or more resets before the device becomes usuable.
the first 1-2 resets, the device hangs, almost like an app or driver is failing to load, and hanging the processor. The third time, usually the device will come up, but receives no signal on the antennae (just an exclamation). *sometimes* this can all be avoided by powering the device externally while soft resetting. Also, this may or may not relevant, but even though I keep bluetooth off, after the reset, powered or not, bluetooth is always active until the phone become usable.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing the persistent hanging, or how to even begin troubleshooting this?

Total System Failure

A few weeks ago, I flashed my wm5 rom to wm6 because whenever I used to soft reset the device, it would not turn on again without faking a hard reset and then canceling out. WM6 worked perfectly out of the gate for the first few weeks. I use the following extensively.
-- SPB Finance - stored on main memory
-- SPB Backup - backups stored on storage card
-- SPB Insight - content on storage card
-- PCM Keyboard 0.9
-- Resco Explorer
-- MS Reader
-- BatteryStatus
-- Direct Push on 24/7
-- Overclocked to 283
I powered the device on and noticed the signal strength was quite low, and it tried to connect to GPRS, but was failing. I clicked "Hide", and immediately, full white screen, and complete lockup. I didn't panic yet, and soft reset the device. It got to the green win mobile screen and then nothing... completely dead device, no lights... nothing.
I tried everything possible, including leaving the battery out for 20 min, but no luck at all. Then I tried to hard reset the device... but it said something about wiping the fat table, and it reboot, and I noticed on the main O2 splash screen, it would give the IPL, SPL, and no GSM radio version... and then would reboot again. I tried hard reseting a few times and each time the same thing!
When I soft reset the device, the orange message light would turn on, but the LCD would not power up, and then it would just stay that way. Plugging in the charger would cause the device to charge.
I tried removing the storage card, but no luck. Then for whatever reason I tried a hard reset again and this time it worked! Almost... When the reset was complete, I could not get any phone signal. The phone would keep trying to connect, then disconnect and disable itself, then try again every 2 seconds or so. It was as if the radio wasn't there anymore. No matter what SIM I put in, no radio, even though a TYTN sitting beside me got full signal on any SIM I threw at it.
I decided to re-flash the official ROM from my laptop, and now I had the radio working... but the phone would not charge, and activesync would not work. The USB was missing. When I tapped the battery icon, it said "unknown power level" and that was that.
After a soft reset, USB was back, and the device managed to stabilize. I reduced the overclock to 260, and it has been running fine ever since. I loaded all the programs back again except for SPB Insight. Reason is after installing this program previously, I would tether the device to the computer to sync the channels... and it would... but at random, it would mess up my direct push/activesync so that when the device was un-tethered, direct push would not work. I'm a bit worried of putting that program back on.
I've noticed a slew of disabled orbit threads lately, and just wanted to add my experience to this.

artemis enable bluetooth problem

Hi all!
I have some kind of weird problem with my artemis. Once I try to enable bluetooth, device hangs in bluetooth dialog with animated progress icon. The only one way to get it out of it is soft reset. After soft reset commanager just silently refuses to run. wi-fi and bluetooth is unaccessible but phone works fine. blue led flashes for few minutes. also I can't add new contacts and do click and hold in explorer - it hangs with circle of rounds after it.
device restores it state on hard reset or rom update. all actions mentioned above work fine till next bluetooth try.
I tried both official WM5 and WM6 with same result.
any clues?

If you tried hard resets with both - WM5 and WM6 it must be hardware problem. I use WiFi and BT PAN networks everyday with my Artemis and both Windows (HTC) ROMs.
i have same problem, twice i have had to hard reset, it works okay for around a week then the bluetooth stops working.

Is this a common prob with the BA??

When you turn off the phone option, it will turn on again if its done within 5mins, but it wont turn back on if you leave it off for lets say 30mins. You need to soft reset it for the phone signal to be enabled again.
Is this a common prob with the BA and is there anyway to fix it, Im using wm6. Also enabling the wifi conn takes quite a few attempts after a soft reset.
Hi,
for Wifi, I'm also experiencing the same thing when activate wifi via comm manager.
I thought it may be the ROM that is unstable or have some bugs. I'm myself using WM 6.1 made by xplode.
May be you can try to activate wifi via Start->Settings->Connections->Wifi
If I activate wifi via Start->Settings and so on, I didnt need to do soft reset, the wifi just run fine. Try it. Hope it helps
it seems like a battery problem. i had that problem before, it got fixed when i bought a new battery.
I was thinking that it may be a batt prob.
Yes both are commonly problems
i had both from wifi and softreset with that stupid button and the phone off on... jajaja don t worry is normal to our old darling...
Selling a few batteries if your interested.

Phone loses paired BT devices after reset

Hi. I found a problem my phone keeps forgetting paired BT devices after every reset and even airplane mode is turned on. He's going crazy with it.
I read in google that this is an old problem even from Note 9. Is there a solution for this?
I tried to reset the network settings, cleaning the memory of the bluetooth system application. Does not help. I constantly have to pair every device, car, etc.
Android 12 root

I just found a solution, it works. Maybe it will be useful to someone.

module for magisk or flashing from twrp. For me, the magisk module solved the problem.
