Hello...
I had Wifi working perfectly on my MDAIII for a very brief period. But it hasn't worked since!
Only by putting the phone into Bootloader mode and starting from scratch brings it back.
It says that it is connected to my network OK. There is very good signal strength. But it only seems to connect once and never again (Internet Explorer says it can't find the page)
I also can't connect to a Wifi point at my local coffee shop, so I know it's not my equipment.
I have tried fixing the IP address but this doesn't work too.
This is really annoying as that was the main reason for getting the damn phone!
The Wifi unit is a Belkin 54g F5D7630-4A running the latest firmware.
My MDAIII is:
ROM Version: 1.22.00 WWE
ROM Date: 10/22/04
Radio Version: 1.06.00
Protocol Version: 1337.38
ExtROM Version: 1.22.162 WWE
Thank you.
help!!!

i am also having disconection prob with my spv 2000. it conects to the AP (mine is USR9106) and if i try to access any large files from my network the whole system fails.. ie the wireless connection goes off after some time it comes up. tried with different AP but comes with the same prob... some one please help
I have the same problems with an XDA IIs on a belkin, draytek and bufalo AP. Its not the AP its bugs in the Blue Angel.
Perhaps they will fix it eventually. In the meantime you just have to presevere.
Switching wifi off then on usually fixes, otherwise going into the available networks, I see that its says 'connected' on a network thats 10 miles away, tapping connect for the local network fixes. In many cases, I end up soft resetting.
There are also issues with wifi and DHCP, though I have only seen this twice, it was connected via wifi, but IP config on the wifi adapter showed the last GPRS IP that the unit had!! (GPRS was disconnected).

This problem seems to appear after the Bluetooth patch was applied (it doesn't matter whether Bluetooth is on or not).
Turning Wi-Fi off and on again fixes the problem, but it's rather annoying.
My IIs connected to my Netgear unit using WPA without any problems, took a minute to get IP (DHCP).
My problem is that if the device powers off (like pressing button) it disconnects the WiFi, is this the same for you?
This may have been asked already.
Ive been playing with my M2000 for a bit now and i cant seem to find a way i can make a BT modem conection through my Nokia 6630 (3G)
All i had to do on my M1000 was just create new dial up *99#
I want me 3G conection back!
grrr
I don't think Blue Angel doesn't has the right bt profile for that to work.
I seem to remember that it would need 'Dial up networking client' profile, but it only has 'Dial up Networking Server'.
Himalaya and Alpine has both.
JD
this is a problem with our bt stack, that not support BT dial up modem
regards
are there any workarounds, hacks, flashes, or programs that will allow this?
The Blue Angle buletooth have some bugs. I tried to swap another BT Engine/patch but it will disconnect in a large volume of traffic. You can find another BT Engine/Patch in the forum to test.
My Mobile Phone
XDA IIs and NEC 616 (3G)
Hi everybody,
when I try to connect my laptop to the internet using my SX66 and bluetooth, one of the following happens:
1) If gprs is already connected on the SX66, my laptop comes back and says 'phone is busy'.
2) If gprs is not connected, then I get a DUN connection, but no network connectivity. Connecting gprs then disconnects the DUN.
Is there a solution for this annoying crap? My old SE T616 let me DUN with my laptop just fine.
Could wiring the laptop to the SX66 with activesync, and some 3rd party app solve the problem?
thanks, I appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Also, could someone who has NOT applied the latest Siemens patch tell me if they get they same behavior?
update
Since I got the SX66, I've noticed the following bug.
The GPRS symbol appears in white briefly when I start up the phone, and then disappears.
If I connect using GPRS, then I get a black symbol which seems to stay after I've disconnected.
IF I try DUN when there is a disconnected, lingering black GPRS symbol it works. But if I actually connect GPRS, then it hangs up the DUN.
??????
Now I have a working solution. Before using Bluetooth DUN, connect and disconnect GPRS.
Out of curiosity, is this business unique to the SX66, or common across the Blueangel platform?
Whenever the BT connection is lost between the MDA III and the BT unit (even if intermittently), the BT browser pops up. It does not matter whether I check "always use the selected deveice" for the GPS unit or not.
Is there way to automatically connect the BT GPS whenever both GPS and Blue Angel are on.
I have Siemens SX 66. Oncourse BT GPS unit and IGuidance navigation SW.
Thanks.
Is there any patch or update that will allow me to connect my TomTom ONE v2 to my Vario 2 running WM6.1 ever since I got the phone the TomTom has refused the connection to the phone due to it not having the correct capabilities. I want to get TomTom traffic updates via my Web and Walk but the Bluetooth doesnt support wireless connection so the TomTom says.
