Email assistance - About xda-developers.com

Would anyone be willing to correspond with me by email on a one to one basis. I have several problems, quite possibly of my doing, and I feel it would be easier to do it with email. Any assistance would be appreciated. email [email protected]

Email to Tasks Application, anyone?

Hello,
I've looked through the forum, but can't find anything relating to what I'm after- so any help would be gratefully received!
I get 30-70 emails a day through my company's exchange server (2003), workign with activesync. Works really well, but I'd like to be able to transfer the important emails into Tasks (a bit like you can do on outlook).
Is there any application that'll let me do that?
...Or alternatively any application that will let me flag important emails quickly?
Thanks!

Free Exchange Service - ALOL

There's already a thread in the Dev&Hacking section but I think this may be worth sharing with the TP2 crowd.
ALOL offers free exchange service. If you check out the other thread, you will see that a lot of xda users (including myself) have signed up and are generally quite satisfied with the service.
A great thing is if you donate, you can ask them to change the "From" field of your emails to whatever you like. So if you have all your Gmail forwarded to ALOL and have them change the "From" to your Gmail address, you will have true push Gmail.
This service is also provided by an XDA-member, I use my gmail as an alias on this service. Not free but works perfectly (and great support!):

so with this can I essentially get my exchange mail on my TP2 without going on the exchange server and making changes?

[Q] Invites via Email app not displaying in Calendar

Wondering if anyone else has this issue.
I use the email app for work email via Exchange.
If i get a meeting invite there are a couple of small tabs in the email once opened: Message and Invite. Clicking on the invite tab shows me a page saying 'Calendar invite' then a box saying 'View in calendar' and options to accept/decline etc.
The problem i'm having is that if I hit 'View in calendar' it takes me to the correct day in the calendar but doesn't show me what time the meeting is at! Very frustrating. The only way I can see when an invite is for is to accept it. Which obviously I don't want to do without knowing what time it is.
Please can someone else using the Email app check to see if this happens for them too?
Used to prefer it in Sense on my Desire when it pulled the full invite info straight into the email itself. Much simpler.
Nobody else noticed this issue? Must be others out there using the Email app with their work email...
I noticed this too. I don't know what the answer is, but I have noticed it.
Also, the detail of the appointment is very squashed and not easy to see. Any idea on how to expand this?
(The red section is the calendar invite detail)
I too have seen this. Frustrating, I agree...
Is it me only or this seems to be now fixed?
Frankly, I check my calendar invites in the Email app:
That seems fine to me.
I think this was not exactly the point of the original post. You would need to go to the invite tab and see if when checking your calendar, the event is there.
My two cents.
Yup that wasn't my point. And it's still not fixed.
The 'view in calendar' takes me to the correct day but doesn't indicate a time in the calendar app.
Most invites I get don't details of the meeting in the main email - depends whether they're sent from a Mac etc.
