LGG8 ThinQ, change APN unavailable - LG G8 Questions & Answers

I am wondering if there is a way to re enable the option to change APN under mobile networks. I ask because my mobile data does not work unless it is a specific APN (4G box is grey instead of white). However, the option to change APN does not exist in settings, and restore defaults does not do anything.
I have tried the MyNewAPN app that was posted in response to this question back in 2020, however, my software version is android 12, and the app does not seem to do anything. It is possible that this is my own fault, but I made sure to follow the steps in the app, putting in the correct information for my APN. If an updated version of this app exists, please let me know.
If I need to root, that's fine, but I am also unsure if my Xfinity Mobile variant (model: G820QM5) is possible to root due to the somewhat unclear wording in the post on rooting (it says not to use the Verizon frp on other Verizon variants, but not what to use in its place? )
Any clarification on this would greatly help me, thanks.

HELP - Softbank HTC Desire HD - 3g not working after radio update

I have recently bought a HTC Desire HD phone from Softbank in Japan. I have rooted the device successfully and installed Cyanogen 7 Nightly ROM and everything was working fine, However the battery was draining crazily. I found from one of the threads that to fix the problem i need to update the radio. Hence, I updated the radio to 26.04.02.17_M2 as suggested by many people.
Ever since, I am not getting my 3g signal at all, however I can make phone calls and connect to wifi.
I tried installing a different ROM Leedroid 1.5.1 and same problem persists.
Current config
baseband : 12.28e.60.140fU_26.04.02.17_M2
Android : 2.2.1
Build: 1.72.405.3 CL296490 release-keys
Million thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction on how to sort this issue.
Help please
I have found that the problem is connecting to softbank APN. Any help??

Softbank restricts MMS applications using a custom User Agent string. This is probably why it's not working but I'm not sure if someone has created a customized MMS APK for your ROM.
I think I know what the problem is, but to really help, I need to know which country you are currently resident in.

The easiest way to use MMS with SoftBank is by using the SoftBank mail app.
Go here and click on the SoftBank MMS section for info.
This thread is back in February.
When you change rom you need to make sure that you are using the correct APN (Access Point Name) which came with your phone (in the original rom).
The APN is basically the address and password which is used to access your carrier's data/internet access.
You can use a program like APN Backup & Restore which saves your APN info in an .xml file which you can easily restore when you flash a new rom.
Some roms have many APN's listed for you to choose but your's might not be listed or included, plus if you choose the wrong one it can cost you a LOT of money in wrong data fees. (I made this mistake a few years ago with a SoftBank Windows Mobile phone which cost me $1000 equivalent in Japan.)
So get the program above and save your original APN which you are using. (whichever is checked if you have a few listed.)
Then when you flash a new rom - immediately disable Mobile Network (in settings) and install APN Backup & Restore and then delete the new rom's APNs and restore your APN. Then make sure it's checked, switch on Mobile Network and you should be OK. (I reboot and then check it's still checked afterwards). Like I said, if you use the wrong APN, you can get crazy billing fees - regardless of whether your original contract is unlimited packets or not.
I hope this helps.

[Q] 4G Lost After Flashing Firmware

Hi everybody,
I'm totally new in this flashing world and I was messing around with my new Xperia Z1 Compact trying to get Kit Kat installed because when I bought the phone it came with JB 4.3. I flashed Latest KitKat Nordic 14.3.A.0.757 unbranded, and everything worked like a charm until I discovered that I lost 4G connection (It only connects to 3G). I went to settings to select network, and LTE is checked.
I was reading about this matter and it seems that nordic ROM doesn't support LTE Band 7 (2600Mhz) which is the band in my carrier. I tried flashing Central Europe Rom and Global rom for journalists found here in the forums. None of them seems to support my LTE band. I want to know if there is any way to recover 4G changing any setting or if you know a link to any generic ROM compatible with LTE Band 7 (2600Mhz), or if there is any way to revert to my original Jellybean 4.3 ROM using PC Companion or Sony Update Service. Any help will be very apreciated.
Hello,
I am using the Generic UK .757 on a BAND4 LTE network in Canada.
you have checked off the first thing to do from the checklist..
second is to make sure your APN settings are correct.
All these are simple, but if still no luck, some labour is in order.
Need to do full wipe and clean re-install
IF you are not rooted, just launch Sony PC companion with the phone NOT CONNECTED and do a repair. It should by default take you to KK
At the time of flashing, You probably had the wrong boxes checked and unchecked in the WIPE and Exclude boxes..
I'll try the two options
Thanks guys for the responses.
First I'll try to flask UK ROM to see if finally I get kitkat working on my phone. If this doesn't work I'll take the second option with PC Companion to restore the original ROM. I'll post the results.
It seems this rom doesn't work for me

Hi Phil,
I found UK rom in this forum ver. .681 and flashed it, then I downloaded OTA update to .757. So far the problem remains. I discovered that I was wrong about My LTE Band, is 7 not 4. Apparently there's a carrier in UK with band [email protected] same as here (Colombia), so theorically this rom should work, but this is not the case. I'm trying to change more settings without luck. If you know something to help me, it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hi jewelkobayashi,
I tried the method you wrote, but, despite the phone being disconnected, it downloaded the same ROM that I recently have flashed (GLOBAL .757 commercial and Journalist). Is there any other way to download the original Phone ROM . I know my original ROM is GLOBAL-14.2.A.1.114 and the customization number is 1281-3723. I haven't found any site to download this exact firmware. If you know something, it would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Are you sure about your customization number? Because it gets changed if you flash another firmware. Here's everything you need to know: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52011642 to download your firmware. By the way, what's your country, branding and SI-Number (so I can add your customization number to the list)?

Stop flashing random ROMs and check your settings! Unless you have a different model phone than the rest of us (there are three, D5503, M51w and SO-02F), then ANY Z1C (D5503) ROM will work, but they come with different APN lists as bundling every carrier in the worlds APN settings would be a waste of space. Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names, and edit or create the correct APN in there. Look at a friends phone or on your carriers website for the correct settings. This is your problem, no doubt about it.
Please note that some carriers (mine included) have a special APN for LTE. E.g. standard is internet.tele2.se, LTE is 4g.tele2.se on my carrier.
...I have no idea where you're getting your data from, because literally every LTE network in the Nordics uses band 7.
Finally it worked

Thanks for your response. I verified APN settings with friend's phones and it was identical. Finally I called my carrier's help desk and after some try/error setups with them, they gave me an alternate APN that worked until I came home where 4G icon dissapeared again. Then, I was surprised with helpdesk response when I called them again. "There is no 4G coverage in your home area". O.O What is intriging to me is that the phone displayed 4G all the time when I just bought it (Even with restarts and wherever i was) and this changed only when I flashed a generic rom. Is just a silly assumption, but, is possible that carriers can make things like force 4G icon in their custom roms to make advertising or something like that? Just asking. Anyway, Thanks a lot for the responses.

Emmm do you have a manual to how to use the ussd??
I went into it to check it out, I touched I don't know what...
And now I can no longer connect to my network provider...
(reboot doens't helps, changing to wdmca or gsm or other options doesn't changes, VPN seems ok, I have no signal... )
Help!!!
Ok, this is what I did to screw it all
Go to the ussd *#*#4643#*#*
Go to phone info
Go to setings and Select radio band
It gives me the option of GSM/UMTS band = USA Band
-> I no longer have WCDMA or GSM connection :S
(LTE still works...)
Now, how do I go back to my previous options? or does it has nothing to do with it, and the problem is something else?
EDIT> problem solved, I had to reflash my ftf by just updating the FOTA (not sure I needed this...) and the BASEBAND... Now I am back up and running again.. >D

Thank you for the fast answer.
I have done a reset several times but I don't see the LTE option.
Can you specify where can I find it?
I suspect that the firmware version I have hides the LTE. but I am not sure.
I will appreciate it if somebody can direct me on how to activate the LTE

No; it's an unlocked international model.
On another site I have found that *#*#4636#*#* brings up the service menu and allows me to change the radio bands to include LTE.
The moment I do that, I connect to 4G immeidately; however it won't stay if I reboot the phone or view the standard network mode settings, when it jumps back to 3g.
Cheers
Ian
I have downloaded and installed "4G Switcher" from Google Play
and activated LTE (preferred network type - LTE/GSM/WCDMA). it solved the 4G issue. its not the straight forward solution but it works
You can enable it in the hidden menu
On the 855 dial 3845#*855# then choose :
LTE Only>Modem Settings>RAT Selection
Choose : GSM / WCDMA / LTE Auto
As soon as I selected this my 4G kicked in to life.
Hope it works - enjoy

I've not been able to make it permanent, but I did download a great free little app called "4G Switcher" that you click to directly to open up the developer menu without having to key in the code. It makes swtiching it back to LTE a 2 second job......

fix lte option with build.prop editor
There is a permanent fix but have be rooted. But seeing as rooting and unrooting so simple, that shouldn't be a problem.
Simply use a Prop Build editor to go into the build.prop and change the "telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice” value from 0 to 1. There are two lines on in the G3 build prop. Make sure both have the value of 1. Then save. Then reboot.
I applied this to my G3 problem and now it is completely fixed!! I can select LTE auto and it stays, even on a reboot! I'll basically have to do this everytime i flash a new rom or update but it works!
I'll probably make a YouTube video later today to share the fix.
This is utter bullsh1t from LG. I've just bought a 32Gb model which came with V10X-Euro -XX software on it and I can't select LTE/4G to use on my network. What a flapping joke. I do not wish to root my phone or use an app from the store simply to enable 4G in my phone.
Jeebus! I'm NOT happy ffs
Can't they fix this terrible mistake? It's been months since the device came out
Grr
@homerlovesbeer: Without root, on the D855, you can enable LTE. Follow my guide here: Detailed Guide.
However, if you reboot, or switch to 2G, you will lose LTE and must repeat the process. For those who want to make it permanent, I have found a way to make LTE stay, but it requires root (More explained in the guide).
Yep thanks. I can enable using the service menu however my issue is with LG MAKING me use this method, which is NOT permanent, to enable something which should be accessed through normal means like most G3 devices.
I mean what the hell?
Tried this on my D855 on AT&T but I get an error after dialing.. Won't let me into hidden menu
I foolishly installed V20F-TWN-XX Lolipop 5.0 over my 4.4.2 V10e-EUR-XX on my LG G3 855. I've now lost LTE unless I go through the menu 3845#*855#.
Can anyone recommend a KDZ that will fix this issue, or do I need to go back to 4.4.2 to root my phone installing that backup program and go that direction.. Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't have LTE in RAT selection menu, then either LG still hadn't updated LTEconfigs with your service provider, or your phone's region doesn't match your location.
If you bought the phone intended for different region - well, you are the only one to blame. If not - ask LG support to add your carrier to lteconfigs in next update.

Which region your phone is currently using? Go into "setting->about the phone->software" menu, look at "firmware version". Is it 20F-TWN-XX? If so, check this link (replacing X'es for IMEI):
Code:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
If your suffix looks like this:
Code:
<suffix>ATWNTN</suffix>
, then your phone actually originated from Taiwan, and flashing any KDZ higher than 10h won't help. You need to change region via guide in General, or to delete LTEconfigs. Both require root, so you'll have to downgrade to 4.4.2, root it, etc etc etc...

Funny, but upgrading to Lillipop actually fixed mine so I now have LTE available as an option in the mobile network settings where before the update I had to force LTE in the service menu. Same 4.4.2 V10e-EUR-XX as yours previously.

I had to go back to 4.4.2, root it, install twrp, install lollipop through that while also installed SU.
All this just to keep my root, to allow me to edit my build.prop file while allowed me to reintroduce my LTE functionality.
Quite a lot of messing about! Next time I won't be so eager to change!

Samsung S9 - Telstra WiFi calling not available

Hi
I have a dual-sim Samsung S9 (international version) SM-960F. I have a Telstra SIM that had Wi-Fi calling enabled when I used it on my old iPhone 6. Wifi calling doesn't work and isn't an option on the S9 when the SIM is inserted.
I have discussed with a Samsung kiosk representative, and he claims that he can't flash with a Telstra firmware as the phone is "international" and won't work.
My question is
a) is what the Samsung rep saying true?
b) is this something that will be addressed by Samsung over time (ie. to include updates to firmware to include Telstra) and I just need to be patient?
c) I'm making a big assumption that the Samsung S9 actually has VOLTE and wifi calling hardware able(?)
Thanks
I have been looking for a solution to this as well. My S9 currently has the XSG CSC Code and I want to change it to either XSA or TEL. Flashing through Odin didn't change it.

Both you folks maybe would like to try the Detonator file that makes your phone think it's on Tmobile, and Wifi calling works. Just enable wifi calling in advanced connections settings after flashing. But also READ how to uninstall/disable the detonator file by editing the root EFS/IEMI mps_code.dat as well as omcnw_code.dat by using all capital letters to change from TMB to whatever your original prodcode.dat file show when opening with an app such as root explorer. The last three letters all caps is what you absolutely need to change if you decide to flash any kernels or ROMs. The Detonator file is simply an add on, not a ROM. This is all explained on the Detonator web site. Look at Forum here under Cross device development. Look specifically for posts from me which has links to latest V3 version as well as OPs WEB site.
My Exynos was an unlocked S9 with a CSC using AFG. This should give you Volte as well as Wifi calling. I cannot overemphasize the need to edit those file if you ever decide to change kernels or ROMs or you may end up with issues such as unable mount /system or /Data. Or issues such as booting up and seeing a message box on a new install saying your SIM card is PUK Network locked. This WILL happen if you don't edit those files.

1. 4G Network - not working at all on the local network. It seems to be able to go to 4G but cannot make outgoing or incoming phone calls/ text or mobile data.
- troubleshooted by resetting phone, changing apn with no luck. Changing it to 3G only seems to make the phone work to make voicecalls/text and mobile connection
2. Random apps crashing - namely - grab (like uber) and spotify.
- tried resetting the phone (and installed just grab app only after reset but still not working) and cleared partition cache boot mode but still no change.
Proposed solution
- installing a new stock rom - should fix the apps crashing issue and 4g issue
- installing custom rom like lineage (discarded this solution because it will disable audio mods) - i bought the moto mods JBL accessory.
questions:
1. Based on this thread - (https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/how-to/how-to-return-to-stock-sprint-t3694783)
- I wish to install stock rom but Im not sure which rom to use. Do I use USC version based on the phones current build number? - OPXS27.109-52-10 or can I change to a different US carrier like verizon ?(related to next question)
2. Is there anyway to change/fix the carrier frequency so it will start accepting 4g locally here?
- will installing a stock rom with a different carrier (i.e. verizon), will that change baseband and accept other frequencies or will I brick my phone?
- Or hope the stock rom with a different patch will fix it? Ive read in forums it could just be the newer patches that giving me issues. The one available for USC is version OPXS27.109-40-7. Upon checking my local carrier and USC band frequencies, both have 5 band with 850ghz frequency available. So Im beginning to think it could be a software rather than carrier issue
3. Because the phone came with a unlocked bootloader, does that mean I will never receive OTA updates from the stock rom? I will have to manually update it when android 9 comes out?
4. software channel - retcn - does that have to do with anything with baseband or installing stock rom? Does this help in any trouble shooting? Ive seen a few threads in the forums with builds with specific software channel in other threads with specific models xt1789 - 02 or 03 or 06. I dont know if that affects stock roms?
-----------------------------------
Maybe it would also help to show my local 4g frequencies and band number
Smart Band is here below
Frequency Protocol Class Band Number
700MHz FDD-LTE/LTE-A 4G 28
850MHz FDD-LTE/LTE-A 4G 5
1800MHz FDD-LTE/LTE-A 4G 3
2100MHz FDD-LTE/LTE-A 4G 1
2300MHz TDD-LTE 4G 40
Sorry for some newb questions and I welcome any other methods of troubleshooting or suggestions you guys can give me. I feel installing stock rom USC carrier is the solution to the problem after all the research I have done, but would like confirmation first from the experts.
Regards
Rj
On mirror.lolinet.com, 109-52-10 belongs to Retail Apac. The newest rom was uploaded is 109-52-12.
If your unlocked bootloader phone is still running the stock firmware, it will be notified when OTA comes.
I'm using an ATT with carrier unlocked so everything is fine to me. With unlocked carrier, you can use any mobile network if the phone baseband supports.
According to basic theory, if the phone was unlocked bootloader, it can be flashed fw from other variants (but there will be problem for each variant situation). It seems none of us here has done this yet.
- Check your phone model, it's on the right of the charger port.
- Open Phone, and type: *#*#4636#*#*. Choose Phone info. Check the preferred network type. If you can receive sms but cannot send, just update your SMSC number.
Most problems can be solved by flashing the stock fw.
Good luck!!!
Thank you
I didn't even know that site until you pointed it out.
I would be definitely be using the APAC software and try and flash the stock rom. I hope it would work and if not I'll try and flashing the older patch version.
Thank you
Will update you hopefully in a week as soon as I fully understand the details of flashing.

Just giving people update incase anyone is interested. I decided to follow this guide Step E (reflashing back to stock). It worked perfectly for me.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/how-to/guides-bootloader-twrp-custom-roms-root-t3805737
As you guys know the original Build number was OPXS27.109-52-10. It turns out that was meant for model XT1789-06. It wouldnt be a big deal except my model that arrived was for XT1789-05
Regardless I followed the instructions and installed the latest firmware for OPSC27.109-52-14 for XT1789-06 (https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/nash/official/RETAPAC/)
Installation went fine and all the apps crashing issues went away. However 4G still didnt work.
I decided to see if installation the latest build for XT1789-05 under the link below would help.
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/nash/official/RETAIL/
It felt more stable, apps not crashing, moto mods still working, and I was able to get get 4G working for internet and sms however phonecalls (both outgoing and incoming) still didnt work. 3G seems to be still stable and working fine at the moment in the Philippines. (note: I have updated APN)
I have decided to leave it alone as I got half my problem sorted (apps crashing) and moto mods still working. Can live without 4G as its mostly connected to WIFI at home and occasionally going out. Crashing apps was more important win for me.
Maybe once Android 9 officially comes out for the phone, it may fix the issue.
I have explored the option of changing the radioband but I heard of nightmares for some users when they switched to USA. I dont know what will happen if I switch to Australia radioband. (i left it to automatic at this time).
Maybe if someone else found the solution, would be happy to try it out.
I'm sorry for you when you still have some problems. My friends mostly use Z2F form T-mobile and Sprint. ATT and Verizon are less. But they work well for all functions.
There's another way you can try. It's the method for dual sim. For eg, you've a Sprint one. You modded the hardware and the 2nd SIM slot is now available. But current Sprint fw only supports single SIM. You can download a dual sim fw, extract it and copy-replace the modem from Sprint fw to dual sim one (I dont remember exactly what modem should keep, sorry). Then, flash the combination fw and the phone runs with dual sim. You can try a stable system and retcn modem or vice versa.

Nothing to be sorry about, actually really grateful for your input.
Already had a big win by:
1. flashing for the first time ever to stock rom and not bricking my phone in the process
2. all apps are now working
3. moto mods are working
4. alternative solution to 4g issue is available
Just letting you know the my variant already is on dual sim, and I was pretty sure the modem was wiped and reinstalled when I reflashed back to stock. I did find another thread of similar issue. Only solution was really to either change to 3G or fix APN.

One user commented it could be a carrier issue. (see below)

Hello, guys.!
I've been following this inquiry very close and I've arrived into a very accurate conclusion:
1. This is not a device problem! Motorola devices are not the problem. I've found that Samsung and Huawei devices also have the same problems.
2. This is definitely about service provider network. In my investigation, AT&T is the one having this issue alone.
3. This issue happens only in certain Mexican areas. For example, in Monterey this happens. I went to Chihuahua and CD Juarez just last 3 days and I was able to use 4G and calls without problems.
4. Based on the idea that only happens in certain areas at certain networks, I can only concluded that happens to certain devices as well. Brands, perhaps, as unlocked iPhone does not present this issue.
------
It could be something to do with Volte 4G calls. It has been disabled for the Xforce 1789-05 european models.
I think waiting to Android 9 may be my best solution though I may start try to start troubleshooting and focusing on simcards to see if 4g will work with other carriers.
I've got an ATT Flipout. I could make call and sms normally. But the network could only rise to E+, cannot be up to 3G (several years ago). The problem was phone hardware. The baseband was only available for US.
Z2F was the flagship, so its modem supported many 4G band for other regions.
As you mentioned, I think you should find out what carrier's band would suit your Z2F. Luckily, all Z2F variants have our bands.
Good luck, guy! And hope you'll give us good news!
You have the (05) dual sim variant correct? You're also in the Philippines right? If you look at this link you'll see all the bands supported for your variant, also you can check carriers in your region to see what bands they are using.
If you look carriers in Philippines like Smart you can see what bands they use.
A comparable carrier is Claro in Brazil.
They use the same bands on a GSM network. I would assume that Retail firmware would open those bands, but I'm not 100% sure and maybe the firmware you flashed doesn't. I do see firmware for RETBR (retail Brazil) and I know that (05) variants are used there. So maybe flashing a retbr firmware will open the bands needed since Brazil and Philippines use some of the same bands. I'm not 100% sure on this, it's just my best guess. You're welcome to verify the info linked and do what you will. I'd think the worst case scenario would be borking your imei and having to blankflash, but those tools are around here as well and so long as you DO NOT relock your bootloader you'll find that it is pretty hard to actually brick this phone. That's the best I can come up with to help.
Thank you

Your correct, its the dual sim 05 variant. I flashed the retail and I do get LTE data. It just the LTE wont work on 4G. So I dont think its purely a band issue because based on your link I have 3 supported LTE bands with the smart network. Its possible its something to do with carrier communicating with the phone. (APN? Volte?)
Question: will flashing a retbr on a retcn cause issue? Does software channel matter? Maybe I can give it a go, but my wife (who i gave the phone to) has been pretty happy with it. I dont think she wants another wipe on her phone. (i think i already reformatted at least 5 times already)
Update
I found this thread with moto z play.
Maybe this will work? It a method to open all baseband channels.

I don't know about all that, looks like a recipe for trouble. Are you able to make or receive voice calls? FYI you can go to apn settings, click the 3-dot menu and reset to default. That should pull your apn info from your sim so you should be good to go apn wise.
There was an old method called RadioComm. It used to unlock carrier for Razr HD (and maybe others Motorola phones). But it is more danger than flashing fw.
On my Verizon phones, no APN profile was showed. But on ATT Z2F, APN was automatically set (and showed) for each carrier.
Inbound and outbound calls affected

Unfortunately still a no go.
I have reset the network settings and used default apn as per your suggestion. I even copied settings from another phone using same carrier and used different calling apps. It's weird but when at 4g
1. Text work
2. Data works
3. Inbound and outbound phone calls doesn't work
Swap to 3g everything works
I'm still trying to convince my wife if I should flash to retbr.

Well if everything works on 3g then it sounds like your bands are fine. Sounds more like a volte issue. 4g works, 3g works, calling works, it's just no calls when 4g is on. Are you using an old sim? Have you tried the sim in another phone to see if you experience the same problems with 4g? Some carriers use different sim for different services. What is your preferred network type set to? If it's exclusively LTE, try setting it to LTE/GSM. It sounds more like a sim issue, setting issue, or maybe a registration issue.

I dont think its a old sim issue because its only a year old. But I am getting another simcard from another local network to test it out.
Will update with details.
Hello harkoliar, it looks like both you and I share the exact problem. And best of all, or worst depending on how you view it, I am in Malaysia with the same problems, Grab keeps crashing, among other apps just failing to work period.
Software Channel reads RETCN. 05 phone running an 06 firmware.
I noticed you tried to flash a RETAIL firmware, may I know which was the file you used, was it OPXS27.109-34-21?
I don't have much problems with the connectivity and using 4G. Perhaps it may be a difference between telcos in Malaysian and the Philippines.
Oh... And I bought mine from Lazada, where did you get yours. LOL

Same Lazada. Lol. We must have gotten from the same supplier.
Your right, I installed OPXS27.109-34-21. Worked like a charm after that. Please follow the steps provided in the guide - Step E.

note: be mindful just what version of android your using. Im assuming its also android 8 like mine. If its currently Android 7, i heard its best to install the android 7 rom first then upgrade to 8. You can tell by the versions.
Another user also having the same problems and reinstalled the latest Retail ROM for XT1789-05 - latest version, worked for him as well

Just finished flashing! So far so good, installing apps as we speak! Super excited!
Was your seller named Aukey? I left them a stinker of a review, lol.
Thank you so much for your experience and detailed breakdown of what you did to get right with your, now, wife's phone.:fingers-crossed::victory:
Different seller but same source most likely

Happy to help and hopefully that did fix all your app problems. :good:
Still credits and thanks to the actual guys who did the guide.
