is there a way to get oos cam on lineage rom?
Crdroid provide oss cam out of the box but I have problem with fast charging, not everyone is effected by this problem only a handful people so can't use it for now.
I have also checked other aosp base rom that provide oos cam but battery backup isn't that good.
Please don't suggest gcam.

you should select a differenti rom (many custom roms have it)
or you can simply install ported gcam

We should be able to flash generic system images for project treble I'm hoping.
I imagine that project treble will revolutionize rom development, not end it. I see this as a really exciting time!
Me wondering which custom ROM to flash.

AOSP Treble ROM has a few quirks on the 7X. The battery life isn't as good as stock EMUI and BT randomly crashes. As for RROS, I would search through the thread to find what you're looking for.

A few quirks? Mean?
My AOSP Treble quirks:
-BT crashes randomly
Apparently, it's much worse with magisk as BT becomes unusable upon FCing until you restart your phone.
-Battery life isn't as good as stock EMUI
-Apps force close randomly when you wake your device.
-You have to clear Google Play cache every time you reboot just to install new apps or else they will be stuck on "Download Pending".
That's quite a lot.
Better use the specific builds here in 7x maybe
Do you guys think VoLTE will be available in any of the Roms?
I am on the leaked stable Oreo build of MIUI. I want to switch to a Oreo custom ROM, but I am confused which I should flash, the Generic System Images or RR/LOS. I am off course looking for stability(camera, battery) and performance, customization is not at the top of my list of needs. Thanks

I am using Both MIUI 9.5.12 in my Redmi Note 5 China ( Oreo 8.1) and RR Rom by Multiboot TWRP both working fine and RR Rom is stable and battery is also good as far as I used. You can try RR rom. BTW a tip for you if you want to use dual Rom don't put any lock in Custom rom if you do you wont be able to log in at MIUI Rom.

Installed RR today, pretty pleasant experience as of yet!
can anyone port the oos camera to oreo based custom rom ?
there's a thread about oos camera port but it only supports nougat :crying:
Just install newest version from apkmirror. It works for me on los 15.1
I'm hoping to install LineageOS 15.1 on my Huwaei Mate SE. I have already unlocked it and installed the oreo TWRP. Is it possible to just install the honor7X version of the treble lineageOS rom, or do I have to do something else?
Edit: I've also seen the openkirin lineageOS v4. Is there a different between that and the Treble lineageOS?

OpenKirin's LineageOS v4 is a treble rom, installed through fastboot ONLY.
Do NOT use TWRP to install!
Their LineageOS v4 is very good and stable, but does not support VOLTE, and the camera app locks up on portrait and wide aperture mode. Because of these bugs, I went back to stock emui and will definitely try the next OpenKirin update.
I recommend you the Pixel Experience Rom from the Treble forums, for me is the best rom available, im so far very happy with it. Even though is not in the same level of other roms in terms of customizations it is also way less buggy than them. I would put battery life in the same level as stock while performing better. Ofc no Volte support but i dont think any rom besides stock does Volte so.
I miss Lineage and similar roms and want to try one of them on my Mi 10T Pro, but I use the 8k 30fps video recording alot and wounder if there are any rom which makes it possible to film in that resulotion?
I have read that ANX camera have support for it, but the ANX doesn't work with all roms, so if anyone here know any rom that support ANX I would be happy to know

Lineage isn't a AOSP, will it work then?
