I'm just wondering if someone has been able to use Leica Cam in AOSP ROM. Been trying to install via Magisk + LSPosed + Core Patch to no avail. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you!

I didn't say I am a Evolution X ROM developer. I am asking if anyone has been able to make Leica Cam work on an AOSP ROM.

If you are the OP of the development section thread you are supposed to be the developer.

Hello Developers,
If any developer is reading this thread, I request you people to find a way to run Portrait Mode In Camera in Custom Roms.
Though it works on Stock Emui but this is the only feature lacking in roms.
Full camera features aren't available in Roms, Portrait Mode, Aperture Mode crashes or doens't work at all !
Please find a fix for that,. It will be really helpful. So many people are waiting for this.

Im new on treble things, and yess we don't have solid twrp work yet here, tried sudep twrp but failed to backup the system, can you tell which rom youre using? Having problem flashing gapps while i tried Vanila Gsi..error 20 which is tell me i'm in wrong rom..7.1.2 and arm ?? anyone have a fx?

Error 20 can be solved by flashing pico version of gapps.

yup read that somewhere , the purpose is to make it looks like pixel stock, so i need to flash the stock gapps (modified/shrinked up-to 400mbs),atlease i need to remove stock aosp apps simpler with only one flash then i can installed all google apps i need.

Im using the AOSP 9.0 treble build, works well except for the flash light. Flashlights seem to be broken in all of the 9.0 ROMs for my mate se, would love to know if someone knows a fix (flash still works in camera just not in the quick tiles menu)

But in order to do that, I want to know if there's is Gcam, OOS cam or anyother camera module which I can use to retain the quality of pictures. If so, please link it here, I will try them ALL out, and others can use this thread as well. :angel:

Nope. Literally no one has replied. Lol. Gcam could work, if installed properly. But I can't find how. Only installing the app gives pink bars, green tint and fc. Surely there's another way, a magisk module or settings to get it right. Haven't found it as of now. But derp Android 10 rom has the best cam in-built, even better than OOS people opinionate.

I too joined the group and got all the files. With the .xml file and flashing dotfix, it all works fine now.

I was on lineage os 17. But now I switched to stock Oos 9.0.9. So I'm using this gcam on stock debloated.

Download BSG's latest Gcam. (Not the alpha build) It works with all lenses and everything in the app works and you don't need any configs, just install and you're good.

Yeah, Gcam takes better, sharper photos than the stock cam. You don't have to update if you don't want to.

Wide angle lens works fine, so does the telephoto and video recording. Everything works. It works on Miui or Custom ROMS.

Can you just install a new version of the module over the old one or do you have to remove the old, reboot, then install the new one? I am using 185-2 on arrowos, and it does not work, will see if the new one does.

It is a ported stock MIUI camera for custom AOSP ROMs. You have to install it using Magisk.

its a very broken and barely functioning MIUI camera port for non-MIUI roms
It wouldn't be wise to try and install it on an F3 device or similar as it will likely not function, or if you do get it to work you will end up with terrible and unreliable camera functionality
stick to stock MIUI or use gcam if you are deseperate
