Now I'm a proud owner of magic5 pro and this kind of thing doens't happen anymore. Maybe due to 1800 nits ( 5 pro ) vs 1000 nits ( 4 pro )...

Hi all
I faced a very strange problem. Let go of the dead pixels, I am talking about the camera previewing the image very clear and OK. After the shot has taken place the photo is decorated with bright spots (red, blue..etc) sometimes 2, sometimes 5 it depends -I dont know on what. They are not present in the real view ofcourse. This is not dead pixels as they move and grow as I zoom in to the photo..Any similar encounters???? Or Advice. By the way, this is my second exchange from amazon. I asked them to send me a third unit.

Thank you for your reply. Please find attached the photo with the problem previoiusly mentioned. You can see the bright 2 spots in the middle and to the right of the picture if you enlarge it they will appear clearly. Those 2 dots are not present in the real scene nor pre the shot in the view finder. After the camera takes the shot they appear in all pictures.
Here's a snap I took with the camera right on top of a black surface. You can see there's a couple of spots near the bottom but certainly not as bad as yours. It probably happens since the camera is not made for taking black photos and as it struggles to focus, it is "tricked" into thinking there's some light there where there's not. But anyway, if it bothers you to the point where it effects your normal photos, then you should return it.
Hey everyone
Just a quick question regarding the camera app on the note 2.
My phone is standard, not rooted or anything loaded.
I have noticed that when I load the camera app and take a picture in landscape mode (Phone held sideways)
the picture does not display on the full screen. It has a black border either side..
Why would I loose a 3rd of my screen to black borders.
Thanks in Advance

I suppose you have set maximum resolution, & then it won't fill the screen (because of different aspect ratio).
The simple "solution" is to reduce the resolution one notch, and voilá; the picture WILL fit the screen....
If you don't mind shooting pictures at a lower resolution, that is....
There are 3 wide resolution to choose from to consume all the display. 6mpix is the highest

Cheers everyone..
Dropped down to 6m and its all good now
If you shoot at 8mp it's in a 4:3 aspect ratio so the sides of the screen are black because there's no data there. If it filled those sides then you wouldn't see what you were shooting at the top and bottom as the top and bottom of the preview would be cut off. If it really bothers you you can shoot at 6mp as others have said which is a 16:9 aspect ratio and won't have the black borders. There shouldn't be any difference in quality and you can always crop your 8mp photos into a 16:9 resolution afterwards if you want to use 8mp.

Hi everybody.
I just wanted to ask how do you find blacks and viewing angles on the Tab Pro 8.4?
I got mine yesterday and I'm not sure if my unit is faulty.
When I view it directly it has a weird looking gray/brown light coming on the top right corner when that area is supposed to
look black (at least blue). When I watch for example youtube videos it's easily visible because of the black bars.
The viewing angles on my unit are also quite awful when showing blacks.
I downloaded an all black image, see pictures. dropbox.com/sc/xfnqxwqz5u96rqt/vcp3Pqnzcn

Hope that someone can post their pictures of the Tab Pro 8.4's blacks.
I am afraid I can't post pictures as my camera on my phone is knackered, but I don't have the same issue, looks faulty I am afraid matey :crying:
Thanks on the reply
I exchanged it (it head a dead pixel also haha).
Now waiting for the new one to arrive, really curious if it will have the same
issue.
Hi all,
Hopefully with the S20 Ultra out for this long that you all have had a good play with the camera. One of the issues that I've noticed is the situation in which the camera will use the main camera and do a digital crop even at 4x. It keeps cropping until it reaches 10x, where it switches to the 4x telephoto camera.
There doesn't seem to be a single trigger for this to happen. I have found that sometimes it will do this even in outdoors bright light. And then other times, it will use the 4x camera at 4x zoom indoors in a dimmer situation. Then there is also the focus distance situation where the 4x camera has a close focus distance of about 43cm but the phone will still select the main camera instead of the 4x even when you are further than 43cm away.
I really wish Samsung would add a setting in the camera app where this behaviour can be switched off so that it uses the 4x camera at any zoom setting from 4x and above instead of the random situation that we have now.
Hello everyone, I have the aura blue S20 plus. I had a s10 before the s20 plus is borderline too big for me.
I went for the plus because of the ToF sensor and zoom in mic, in my opinion the s20 plus had the best cameras (better than the ultra's).
Right now I am considering trading in for the Fold 2, which looks like it has the s20's cameras. I'm not sure how much I'm losing giving up the ToF sensor. Will quick measure still work? I think I will lose 3d scan.

The only example I've seen the ToF sensor make a difference in a photo.
I have the regular S20 5G (NA release unlocked), and do not miss the ToF sensor. Portrait shots (live focus) still give nice bokeh. There are YouTube vids out there that show the ToF doesnt really do anything , pics were taken w/ ToF covered and not covered and both are near identical . Imo it's the software that's doing all the work , fast moving shots it might help out . Samsung's camera app is getting dam near pixel level in this regard.
Can you share the video please?
