Hey everyone , since two days ago when i flashed a New rom , my phone battery % is wrong for exemple it says I have 75% and 1o minutes after it's bootlooping until I plugg the charger , , even while plugging and charging at 25w(I have a cable with watt display) on the phone I'm never gaining percentage but losing some. Until it hits zero then it reboot then it shows 75 again.
I tried clean flashing to new rom , flashing new kernel , total format and wiping all data , and changing TWRP versions , nothing resolve it , I'm a noob and that's the best I could try please help
I remember this sw trick with the app NoAd Battery Calibrator. It is available on the f-droid store.
If ii will fail, i think it is time to replace the battery.

Hi,
I assume that your battery was fine before flashing the custom rom,
have you tried a Xiaomi.eu (Fastboot) rom, i use this rom when things go a bit strange.
When installing custom roms from twrp recovery i "Format Data" before installing the new rom and reboot back into twrp, i then install the rom and after competition "Format data" again.
I`ve had issues when switching between roms and using "Format Data" in TWRP and having left over residue from the previous rom that caused me issues.

I`m assuming you have returned to a stock miui rom and you are using the correct firmware for your region
My F3 was brought from the UK and had EEA firmware installed as stock, have you tried a earlier version of a Miui rom for your region.
I have installed 40-50 customs roms on my F3 and never had any battery issues.
I use this rom to fix my F3 when things go a bit strange and Miui is not installing correctly: xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK40_POCOF3_21.12.8_v12-12-fastboot.zip,
once completed i update to the latest version of a Miui Fastboot rom using the "No MIFLASH" method and a PC.

The Xiaomi.eu Fastboot rom is the "Fix my F3 solution" as i have faced a few Miui firmware not completing errors and a .EU rom has always restored my F3 back to almost stock, as long as you have Fasttboot then there is a good chance you can fix most issue with the F3.

When you say fastboot you mean going. To fastboot , boot to TWRP then flash rom right ? Or directly in fastboot with command ?
What i do is, i put my F3 into fastboot mode "Vol- + Pwr button" plug my F3 into my PC, run "Temporary Recovery" and select 1 "TWRP",
i gave up with Fastboot commands and put together the "Standalone Recovery" files to make it easier to restore recovery when switching roms,
TIP: Always remember to "Flash Current TWRP" from the Advanced menu when installing a new rom before restarting TWRP other wise you will loose TWRP Recovery and you have to use the PC Method above.

good news !!! i was on the way to do exacly what you Ask , but before thats i did something that worked ! after rebooting a couple of times using TWRP because I was flashing current TWRP after I erased all data and formated all , so I reboot to recovery but I was on 1% when doing that
when I tried to reboot it blinked the logo battery totally discharge , so I plugged in the charger , (even tho I knew the battery was near full charge in reality) , after a couple of minutes nothing it stayed blinking like it was never charged for months , so I gave up basically , and something told me to leave it like that for 6 hours (yeah I gave up) when still plugged in and clicking on the button it was still the same ...
but ! when I unplugged it it went to recovery , (cause no rom right now) it showed one percent , I still forced it to reboot one more time to recovery out of hope with buttons, THEN BOOM 100% , I'm so lucky , I'm gonna be discharging it fully then charging it to see if it's stable , I installed crdroid after that it's working perfectly so fare even with multiple reboot, thanks again for the help guys
edit:
After two full cycle its working perfectly son far so problem solved !

Hello,
I flashed a CustomROM and gapps, tried to reboot into system, but my phone does not react anymore since that attempt. The screen is black.
ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/development/rom-cm13-unoficial-2016-06-14-universal-t3473016
Gapps: core package from 07-16-16 (arm)
Is there a way to recover it?

You have hydrogen or helium?
Which TWRP image did you install exactly?
My device is a Helium 64-3GB bought in China (June/16)
Recovery was flashed using Flasher Toolkit from "en.miui.com" -> /thread-301971-1-1.html
(Link not allowed)
file name: "twrp-3.0.2-2-hydrogen"
I remember that I might have seen Hydrogen in the text box during installation, if you aim on the detection during the installation.

Yeah... Wrong recovery and the install detected your helium as hydrogen leaving you a brick.
My bad... I just added the warning about that in the thread after seeing your question... Should of thought about this scenario but since we have helium twrp for a long time now I I assumed nobody is isuing hidrogen... I knew what you did just wanted to make sure.
Never been in a brick myself but read this thread and you should be back booting in no time
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/how-to/guide-install-global-miui8-root-t3435594
And install proper twrp, please... or you won't be able to install any helium rom.
The device gets recognized in MiFlash, but after flashing the twrp and the stock rom, the device still does not boot.
Any proposes on my mistake?
EDIT: I just started the procedure again, unplugged the battery, connected the "jumper" and the phone booted properly.
After some failed reboots, it randomly booted into TWRP (now the right one, at least i hope so. gonna check this later) and I installed the latest RR (love the design).
So now, its just the ugly 3G-bug left and a little OC would be nice

Great job:good:
Hi,
My previous post relates to this one. Due to that problem I got, I had to factory reset my device to get my camera working again. However, instead, my phone rebooted into TWRP and would not boot system normally. When I tried to go to factory mode via fastboot I ended up in endless bootloop. Back in TWRP I tried to restore my backed up ROM from before rooting, but nothing really changed. I am really desperate because I have not find any solutions for my model and I don't want to use other montana models stock ROMs as I suspect them not to be compatible. What shall I do?
Cheers

Ok I was able the Stock rom, but it is Chinese, not the global one wihout Gapps and lots of bloatware. Do you know if there is also a GLOBAL stock ROM I can get? Conversely, is there perhaps a custom ROM like Lineage OS or others that is compatible with this device? Cheers

Sorry this is the stock rom of montana_retcn, to install the playstore by the store that comes in it, and it has the English language.
The rom that you were supposed to be a shop rom of the store that you bought, mine came with one of this but unfortunately I do not know where it has to download ...

Turn off the device, boot into Fastboot Flash Mode using vol down + power, using volume keys scroll and select factory mode and device will turn on. the next time you boot up the device, it won't go into TWRP directly. I have faced this issue many times. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem with my wifes g5s.
I have found that from twrp>restart>bootloader (phone then enters bootloader) I can the immediately choose "start" to boot the phone.
But that is a hassle I'd prefer my wife not having to go through...

Flash stock ROM via fastboot problem will be solved..
As far as people who need play store can flash gapps via TWRP as a same method we use for custom ROMs.
P.S. i will not suggest to buy XT1799-2 because this SKU is purely made for Chinese Market, if you need any custom ROM go to Weibo.com/diyroms and post a request to build a custom ROM for this device.
And there are some custom ROMs available that you can search via baidu.com ( Chinese Search Engine).
I will try to find any ROM and post for you guys and also post. Request to build for XT1799-2.

Greetings. First of all , I have to say that I think i messed up many things.I'm going to describe all of my steps and how I ended up stuck with fastboot and .. nothing else. So I started with installing stock rom by twrp . Booted to twrp , cleared cache and data and when I flashed the zip , I got error 1 . So I thought it would be easier to do it with Miflash tool. Next , after installing miflash and the fastboot version of the rom , I flashed it but it seemed that it was taking so long (more than 2000 seconds ) and it was stuck on flashing a specific file. The next and crucial imo move I did was to remove the usb cable from my phone resulting to an error in miflash (obviously). And this is when I realised that when I pressed the power button for a long time , it wouldnt boot to my custom rom . Instead it turned back to fastboot . I tried one more time flashing the stock rom with miflash but got an error after a few minutes. Also , I tried to boot to twrp by pressing volume up + power button , but it turned to fastboot again. So I opened cmd , booted to twrp from there and I thought about flashing twrp from the recovery (flash current twrp)and... guess what . Got an error and couldnt flash twrp. I have been searching for help online over the past 3 hours , but unfortunately I havent found any fixes yet. I would really appreciate any help from here , as I really dont want to lose my device. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I have solved this issue.

Try flashing miui via batch scripts is what I would do...
When you extract firmware there should be flash_all.bat file inside, run it via cmd - just type the name of it with cmd directed at the folder where the firmware is unpacked. ( For this you need adb tools installed properly so that the whole system has access to it , if you don't know how then download platform tools from google , unpack it and copy everything inside platform tools folder then paste into firmware folder , then you should be able to run the scripts inside firmware folder )
It will start regular process that mi flash does but if it fails then I guess you can see where it fails exactly and update here .
Idk...
You know, this would've been much easier to read if you put some effort into your grammar.
What error did you get in Mi Flash? Did you download the correct Fastboot Stock ROM for your specific region?

try to download again the firmware, maybe the file you have been trying to flash is corrupted.
Most and foremost, try to be specific what it was you encountered. Feels like I was reading in a wattpad.
How did you do it?
Please share with how you solve it

Basically , I managed to flash it successfully after many attempts. I was getting different errors every time when I was trying to flash the EU version in my PC , so I thought of switching to my laptop and trying with the GLOBAL version this time. I succeed the 2nd time . I also used a different usb cable. So it was just miflash being miflash... nothing to worry about.
Hi all,
first, i have installed LoS and followed the instructions from their website. i was stuck at LoS boot logo then.
After that, i've installed Arrow OS (Android 12) from the XDA thread and followed the guide. it worked and runs smooth but i've got a problem:
Since i've installed arrowOS, my battery percentage is stuck at 93%. I've tried things to fix it, like installing LoS again. Same problem there.
I went back to stock global rom with XiaoMiFlash and got the same problem at stock os now. i dont know, how is the percentage calculated and why it is stuck forever now. even if my phone is off and i plug in the charging cable, same problem with 93%. maybe the poco f3 has an hardware detection for battery percentage and i did something wrong while flashing custom roms ? is there any way to fix it ?
would be nice if anyone can help me
thanks in advance

After flashing a custom kernel
It's fixed now after flashing fastboot stock ROM twice, then I went to stock recovery and wiped data
Update: after rebooting the device i see different percentage, will drain it then charge to 100 and calibrate
I found that after you changed from Custom ROM, sometimes the speed of the SoC stuck on 2.7Ghz instead of 3.2Ghz. Flash (DONT LOCK) with Stock Chinese ROM (Redmi K40) will fix the stuck, maybe this problem also like that. And after Flashing with Chinese ROM, flash again to your wish Stock ROM (Global, EEA, ID, etc.).

Hello, could you tell me what kernel you used
Hi all,
I hope someone will be able to guide me as how to recover from this.
So today I tried flashing my POCO F3 with MIUI 14 (xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK40_POCOF3_V14.0.4.0.TKHCNXM_v14-13) from the stock version MIUI 12.
I first successfuly unlocked the bootloader using MiUnlock. I then unlocked the developer options , usb unbugging etc. again on the fresh phone.
I also had USB / ADB and fastloader drivers installed.
I downloaded xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK40_POCOF3_V14.0.4.0.TKHCNXM_v14-13 , phone was already in fastboot and connected to the computer so run 'windows fastboot first install with data format' as an administrator which opened the cmd , after agreeing it started flashing the first few files successfully but when it gets to " Sending 'cmnlib64_ab' (504 KB) " the process just stopped there and it has been like this for around 30 mins - no error ...simply stuck on this step .....
I am not sure on what to do now to avoid bricking my phone, should I leave it connected ? Disconnect it and try flashing it again ? Download an older version of Xiaomi.Eu ROM (e.g MIUI 13 ) ?
Leave it connected for about 1 hour or so until you get success or error confirmation. If failed just reboot to system. If system failed to show up then go to fastboot again and install xiaomi.eu a12 version.
This is exactly why I hate fastboot method and always install rom from twrp
Flash 14.0.5 via orangefox recovery.
I left it overnight and nothing happened . I disconnected the phone and it rebooted ok. I am kind of worried about trying again. Is the twrp method safer ?
Just discovered that I stupidly set the "USB debugging (Security settings) on but I forgot to turn on "USB debugging" which is a few lines above in settings. Could that be what has stopped the process?
Phone should flash fine even if debugging is off. I would recommend you to make sure that the cable doesnt even move an inch during the whole flashing process as that sometimes interrupts it especially if you have a loose port.
I just switched the usb port from the back of the pc (which I think are USB 3.0) to the front panel of the PC (I suspect USB 2.0 ) and tried flashing the MIUI 14 from yesterday again - It worked !!!!

Hi...
Is it possible to flash a ROM that says "...V12.0.6....V12-10" for example, on a device that shipped with MIUI 11 Android 10, directly, without first updating the device to MIUI 12 normally?

you can do if you flash the fastboot version by mi flash tool, and your bootloader is unlocked.

Thanks... I really appreciate the early reply.
But can't I do this using the recovery method? And also must the android and miui versions of both the global stock rom and custom rom be the same?
Nevermind...thanks for your help
if you want to flash specific version of android, then you need unlocked bootloader and mi flash tool, otherwise make updater app do its job. and no need for the global stock rom and custom rom be the same. just put in your mind to backup your data .
