Xiaomi definitely did some drawbacks on F5's modem (aggregation).
My previous Poco F3 side by side with F5 does much better download and upload speeds.
I'm very disappointed with my Poco F3 upgrade to the new F's family model.
I dont have 5G sim
In italy with 4G SIM it use 800+2600+1800+2100 mhz
Bands: 20+7+3+1
I use vodafone in Italy. Signal good. No significative network speed difference with other device.

I'm connected to 5G NSA/SA network with newer SIM Card 5G. The drawbacks when compared with Poco F3 download speed is notable.

Seems perfectly fine for 5G NSA/SA network once could had some broadband limit from carrier side..
Annex a Speedtest with Poco "F3" on 5G NSA/SA also.
I get better speed than my dad's s20fe 5g which has snapdragon 865 which is similar to snapdragon 870 in poco x3 so I don't what you are talking about

As I already said the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro has a lot of drawbacks when compared with the old brother Poco F3 (alioth).
ONLY THE PRICE TAG IS HIGHER!
Think twice before upgrade it.

Hi. If you have this phone (Exynos version) please share your experience after the latest updates..do you have any overheating and throttling problems? I'm thinking of getting an S20 but only Exynos version is available in my country, and I'm worried because there were so many reports of Exynos S20 series phones overheating, throttling and lagging.
S20+ exynos is bit warm during mobile gaming, but havent faced any issues
with throtting and lagging.
phone works very well the only issue i have with this phone is battery life
this phone has probably one of the worst batteries i had on phone in a very long time.
and from what i red on local forums s20 has even worse battery 4h of SoT even bellow.
to be honest now im sorry i didnt get p40 pro or op8.
if you dont mind bad battery then go for it. i came to s20+ from phones that had 6-7+ SoT so this was a shock for me.
I'm very happy with Android 11 with my S20+ (Exyn), really superior performance compared to Android 10
The battery still sucks btw
The phone still get hot, but it's 35c here so hard to tell if it's the phone prob or not.
Hi the notification bar on landscape has big gaps on left and right side after update. Is it normal?

How did u get 7h SoT facebook disabled ?
I would hold off on an S20 device. The Galaxy S21 is set to release next month with an improved Exynos SoC.
Will Samsung put an end to all its Exynos woes with Exynos 2100?
Samsung's Exynos chipsets have been criticized a lot this year, especially the Exynos 990 that was used in the Galaxy ...

Is it possible to enable 5G in the Indian variant of One Plus 9 Pro? I know I cannot test 5G network. I tried to edit the carrier_policy.xml. This was the output.

Also is it possible to enable the rest of the bands like North America Varient?
same question.
I do have this same question
I'm positive that the indian version might not have the physical antennas for 5g built inside, the north American does because apparently 5G is so important that every new phone in America needs it. Im guessing its the same thing like with the International version of the Galaxy Note 21 where they don't have the 5G antennas and the North America does but they sell them the same price no matter what.
But who knows I could be wrong

You need a 5g plan enabled sim and you should ask your provider if they have 5g coverage in your area.
If 5g is enabled in your phone. You shud select 5g in network type. Also options like Smart 5G will be enabled in settings. The sim should be in sim slot 1 if dual sim phone.

Hello fellow xda's
Planning on upgrading from a still verry buggy Poco F1 to a F3 and as the title says i need to know if the Poco F3 officially or unofficially suports AptX.
Thanks in advance
Best regards.
No official information on AptX support for the Poco F3, however I think it's pretty safe to say it support AptX since the SD870 has all the features from the SD865.
Take from Poco F2 Pro specs: Support AAC/ LDAC/ LHDC / aptX™/ aptX™ HD/ aptX™ -Adaptive.
Source: https://www.po.co/global/poco-f2-pro/specs
DeviceSpecifications also says the Poco F3 support AptX: https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/c79d55ee
Although, DeviceSpecifications does sometimes gets the specifications incorrect.
Yes it has APTX, I have an Aukey 2-in-1 Wireless Transmitter and Receiver that has an APTX indicator.
And When I paired it with my Poco F3 (V 12.0.5), the indicator is on and on the bluetooth screen you see this :

My aukey is not aptx HD only aptx LL so.
Im using the Sennheiser 4.50 btnc. Sound pretty good with AptX
Edit: can't remember if it's HD or not
Supports aptX but doesn't support aptX TWS+

I have the HD 450 BT and Poco x3 NFC, thinking of upgrading to Poco F3, do you think there would be an improvement on sound? Theoretically, better cpu could mean better sound I guess but maybe not?

My guess is, it won't make any difference, at least one that is noticeable, but it's just a wild guess.
Has anyone been able to activate LL? I got a W3 Saber and only get SBC, aptX-HD and LDAC with 300+ ms
Hey guys,
I'm having the Redmi K40S and it's quite a twin to the Poco F4.
Some differences between them that can't touch such as plastic back vs glass back or camera 48 MP vs 64 MP then ok let them go.
But then 1 thing remains that I believe it might be tweaked here and that is the Dolby Vision which is on the Poco F4 - not on the Redmi K40S.
Can anything to be done so that the Redmi K40S can have Dolby Vision for the screen guys @[email protected]?

Really ? Then it's quite weird because on Gsmarena they don't show it on the spec sheet.
Also on the Youtube I watched them play game on both F4 and K40S => the screen on F4 is much better. I'm using the K40S now and feel like it's screen is even worst then my iphone 11 in colors...zzz

try this
In the DRM test, the K40S is shown to support Dolby Vision, which means that you can watch Dolby Vision in Netflix.
Snapdragon support GPS L1+L5 bands from Snapdragon 845 in 2018. Some device from 5 years ago, such as Poco F1 and Xiaomi Mi 8 both support GPS L1+L5 signal.
Redmi Note 12 Turbo use Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 which also supports GPS L1+L5 .
But Xiaomi DISABLED GPS L5 on Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Will they disable it on Poco F5 too?
Maybe it's software restricts, any method to bypass?
There is a app to test if your device support GPS L1+L5. If someone buys this phone, I hope you can test it in this app.

On Poco F5 Pro the same case, L5/E5 not available
I'm switching from POCO F2 Pro and I'm wondering about a return because we're going back technologically
It does seem odd that they would disable it, but I highly doubt that you would actually notice a practical difference in normal use. This article suggests that only 17 satellites are operational for L5, and anything less than 18-24 is of limited use. They are not launching more until 2027, so there is no rush to have it in phones.

I confirm that F5 Pro (mondrian) also lacks L1 and L5 bands.
Same here only poco f5 Google maps always shows low accuracy and not able to calibrate, only show high after I clear app data, but once the.app is opened for the second time.. thing go back to low accuracy mode and nothing can be done until app data is cleared. This looks accuracy becomes troublesome when in Walk mode in maps
