Hello fellow xda's
Planning on upgrading from a still verry buggy Poco F1 to a F3 and as the title says i need to know if the Poco F3 officially or unofficially suports AptX.
Thanks in advance
Best regards.
No official information on AptX support for the Poco F3, however I think it's pretty safe to say it support AptX since the SD870 has all the features from the SD865.
Take from Poco F2 Pro specs: Support AAC/ LDAC/ LHDC / aptX™/ aptX™ HD/ aptX™ -Adaptive.
Source: https://www.po.co/global/poco-f2-pro/specs
DeviceSpecifications also says the Poco F3 support AptX: https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/c79d55ee
Although, DeviceSpecifications does sometimes gets the specifications incorrect.
Yes it has APTX, I have an Aukey 2-in-1 Wireless Transmitter and Receiver that has an APTX indicator.
And When I paired it with my Poco F3 (V 12.0.5), the indicator is on and on the bluetooth screen you see this :

Great! Thanks for the confirmation. I can be safe to buy it now
My aukey is not aptx HD only aptx LL so.
Im using the Sennheiser 4.50 btnc. Sound pretty good with AptX
Edit: can't remember if it's HD or not
Supports aptX but doesn't support aptX TWS+

I have the HD 450 BT and Poco x3 NFC, thinking of upgrading to Poco F3, do you think there would be an improvement on sound? Theoretically, better cpu could mean better sound I guess but maybe not?

My guess is, it won't make any difference, at least one that is noticeable, but it's just a wild guess.
Has anyone been able to activate LL? I got a W3 Saber and only get SBC, aptX-HD and LDAC with 300+ ms

Hi! I realize this is a small concern for many - but what is the quality of the headphone jack/amp, esp. with higher impedance headphones? The A1 had a beefy amp which could push beefier headphones, but I wonder if Xiaomi kept it for the A2L.
I remember when Mi A1 was launched that the audio output quality was highlighted. The same thing isn't happening with this phone, so I think the amp is not as good as the previous.
But I could be wrong.
I'm using it with a very low impedance headphone, and I do get a bit more noise/hiss than with my previous phone (Oneplus 3). I was able to improve the quality quite a bit through installing Viper4Android though. Just install it through Magisk (Viper4Android FX Materialized v1.7 2.5.0.5.). Works straight away.

That was my thought exacly - and my concern. It would be a pity.

Hiss was a problem with the A1 too, precisely because of the amp, when paired with low-impedance phones.
Well, I guess I will have to wait for the phonearena review...

I should add though that I'm using modified Etymotic ER-4P's. They are already pretty treble rich out of the box with a 27 ohm impedance, but I've changed the cords so that the actual impedance is probably closer to 10 now. I like them this way, but they aren't very forgiving and reveal anything..
For those who can understand those numbers:

taken from the GSMArena Mi A2 Lite review
GSM Arena has a nice explanation of those values somewhere in their website. The A2 does well.
So I've been asking this question on almost all the new phones' forums recently because it's never mentioned in any of the spec websites or the manufacturers website. None of the YouTube tech channels check it either except for one which he also forgets to do for some of the phones.
The question is.... Is this phone Widevine L1 certified?
Anybody who already bought the phone can check through downloading an app via playstore. App name is 'drm info'.
Screenshot would be appreciated for anybody who are looking for this particular feature in the next phone they're gonna buy. Thanks in advance guys.
Recently, thanks to the Poco phone f1, a few known YouTubers mentioned the device having widevine L3 . Hopefully, manufacturers start implementing this feature is not all their phones, especially Xiaomi!!!
The phone isnt released yet so nobody can check. I have contacted ZTE to find out for you. It was implemented into Axon 7 so i dont expect anything different.

Axon 7 is my daily driver and no it doesn't support L1. Thanks for your efforts.
I leave this question on all new forums so others can know whether a particular device has L1 or not, I know the phone is not out.

Hi,
Can anyone confirm that the Mate 20x have bluetooth 5.0.
There are many rumor in China that the Mate 20x has Bluetooth 4.2
and the official website of Huawei seems to be deliberately fuzzy about
this

It's iffy... The official site does not list the Bluetooth version of the Mate 20 X. I tried to find the answer but didn't find it.
edit: I believe Mate 20X is not BT5.0! Both Mate 20 and 20 Pro are BT5.0!
I can confirm Mate 20x has BT4.2 and it has very poor connection to my car stereo. I just use the headphone jack. It sucks.
It doesn't depend on Bluetooth version, your car audio problem is more likely Bluetooth audio codec related. See other posts.
My Bluetooth is steller. I have zero connectivity issues and the range is great.
Pretty certain it's Bluetooth 5.0
Not the be all and end all, but gsm arena has it as 5.0

Hi, may I ask what is the current version of your mobile phone, and what is your car model and annual model?
Tested the global version with Toyota Prius 3,and everything OK, Spotify works as it should.
Okay, just trying to figure this. I have a OnePlus 9 Pro with North America rom for use in North america on T mobile. What would I gain/loose by flashing the EU rom?
Biggest advantage to me, was getting the updates straight from OP and not waiting on T-Mobile. On top of getting rid of the T-Mobile bloatware.
My device is not anT Mobile device. It is unlocked so updates still come straight from OnePlus. Any reason to flash the EU rom?
Ok, asking this one more time. This is mostly due to slow updates for the unlocked North America (Global). If I switch from the Global rom to EU and I'm loosing anything? I believe I read I loose the equalizer with the EU version? Anything else?

Native Dolby and equalizer on the phone is an absolute joke. Sound quality is still crap.
This is why rooting is so important as you can install real Dolby (DDplus), and Viper. That makes the sound actually incredible.

Agreed
So, should I just switch to EU rom? Won't loose anything?
Hey guys,
I'm having the Redmi K40S and it's quite a twin to the Poco F4.
Some differences between them that can't touch such as plastic back vs glass back or camera 48 MP vs 64 MP then ok let them go.
But then 1 thing remains that I believe it might be tweaked here and that is the Dolby Vision which is on the Poco F4 - not on the Redmi K40S.
Can anything to be done so that the Redmi K40S can have Dolby Vision for the screen guys @[email protected]?

Really ? Then it's quite weird because on Gsmarena they don't show it on the spec sheet.
Also on the Youtube I watched them play game on both F4 and K40S => the screen on F4 is much better. I'm using the K40S now and feel like it's screen is even worst then my iphone 11 in colors...zzz

try this
In the DRM test, the K40S is shown to support Dolby Vision, which means that you can watch Dolby Vision in Netflix.
