Hello everyone. I was hoping someone might answer this question for me...
Originally, my Note 9 Pro came with Global ROM, and eventually I switched to Indonesia ROM so currently I have 14.0.1.0.SJZIDXM installed and call recording function with MIUI Dialer works perfectly.
What I would like to know is does any other joyeuse MIUI 14 ROM come with MIUI dialer and call recording?! Taiwan, Russia, Turkey or EU?! So if you have on your phone 14.0.3.0.SJZTWXM, 14.0.1.0.SJZRUXM, 14.0.1.0.SJZTRXM or 14.0.4.0.SJZEUXM please tell me does your phone support call recording and does it have MIUI Dialer?! Thank you all in advance
nobody?! ehhhh :-(

EU ROM has it
xiaomi.eu rom comes with miui dialer.
Magisk mod is available for los users with the stock dialer, but no auto call recording.

unfortunately, this turned out not to be true. If you meant that xiaomi.eu ROM has it...yesss... But my question was specifically addressing several stock ROMs and you stating that the EU one (14.0.4.0.SJZEUXM) has it really misled me...installed that one, and sure enough...no MIUI dialer and recorder there. Just stock apps.

thanks for replying, but I was interested in stock roms listed above, in my original post. I am well aware of xiaomi.eu rom.
User who replied before you misled me by suggesting EU rom has it. Anyway...think I'm just going to give up Xiaomi altogether.

The xiaomi.eu rom for our device is just a modified stock rom, (global), to include the miui dialer and a bloatware removal.
It's a really good option for those who prefer miui, and it's likely what the others were referring to as "eu rom".

Could please someone let me know if I can install Indian rom on global version phone, and please share the way to install.
Yes, You can Install it.
The Process are
- Unlock Bootloader using Mi Unlock Tool.
- Download Fastboot Rom of Indian Version.
- Download MiFlash Tool and while flashing, Don't Select "Clean all and lock" option. Just select only "Clean all" option to avoid brick issue.
*Note: Unlocking Bootloader will erase user data. If device got brick, only option to fix it is to take it to service center.
I'm gonna do this tonight, been waiting 7 days to unlock bootloader, just for this.
The only reason I'm doing this is to get stock MIUI Dialer and messaging app, with default call recording built-in.
Can someone confirm this?

Alexa does work but make sure to turn off Alexa hands-free in the notification toggle. My device couldn't play audio, auto-brightness didn't work and videos were sped up. After turning it off everything worked again.
NFC is nowhere available, not as a toggle and not in the settings.

Actually way more boring than I thought. Flashed the China Rom after that and that also sucked. I'm now back on EEA
Can you also tell how to install the Android 10 rom on Indian device? I've been waiting for so long but the Indian Rom is still stuck on 11.0.4

If your bootloader is unlocked and you flash the whole Rom using fastboot, it should not be a problem.
I've read about some anti-rollback 'feature' on some roms, but that would be from Android 10 I think.
Both the versions you mentioned being Android 9 they should not have it.
PS: If you flash IN Rom you are going to loose NFC.
Having the preloader and lk already installed as the megathread intrudes, just need to follow the same steps indicated here?
Do I need to reinstall it after the flash of the Indian version?
Thanks.

no it doesn't only global devices rom get nfc hardware so is software support , conclusion is any device sold officially outside india is global rom and have nfc , i tried indian rom but problem is to make something like that you need to make a custom rom with these features which is nearly impossible because mediatek doesn't care about its' customers and its' restrictions are beyond insane , that's why xiaomi.eu ended support for mediatek phones because of bad platform and crazy restrictions that blocks developers from having freedom that they get on snapdragon platform , it's not xiaomi's fault.
i am currently using miui official rom for indian version i switched to some aosp based roms and couldnt find the feel of miui 12 that smoothness and all the animation i know i am being a bit weird coz not everyone likes miui rom i just wanna switch to a miui based custom rom which will give me lesser bugs than the official miui and also the feel of miui. They dropped so early, the bricks issues were solved without almost any risk following the proper steps and all the anti-brick files are there. I didn't find nothing based on Android 10 but only in Pie, this is the recovery to use for https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-5OlIttlKKI82_AD3q6WFaI0J34pfbDe/view and this is the ROM https://mega.nz/file/9BIiQQzL#YKRjCr5tQCb6LcKluKpVl2BsQaZ2e6jD2W-IoN-afhE
I don't know if some of them is the same version but through this tool https://www.xiaomitool.com/V2/ you'll found the Xiaomi.eu v11.0.2.0 stable and the Xiaomi.eu developer 9.11.21
I'm currently using the Indonesian v12.0.2.0, rooted, debloated unnecessary apps and is smooth so far, I used Xiaomi.eu by years but I don't miss it at all.

A guy here is claiming to have a Miui Pro ROM based on Android 10 https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-eu-hmnote8pro-mtk-begonia-support.53542/post-522711 and asking to Google this is the result https://forum.miuipro.info/viewtopic.php?t=4432&start=200 I didn't checked my self so is a downgrade (not interested).
As per flashing a firmware for other variant you can flash the global (also the EEA included), the Indonesian too, I don't recommend the China version BUT as far as I know the indian version came without NFC capabilities to hardware level and i found someone more that say the same https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/how-to/guide-redmi-note-8-pro-megathread-t4056527

My question is: can i install via Mi Flashtools the ROM of Mi11i or Mi11x to archieve that?

Course i love the Miui stock launcher better than POCO launcher too.

I suggest flashing China ROM directly instead... Miui.eu is unstable garbage , feels like a bad custom ROM with all of it's FPS drops and random lag spikes.
I tried China developer build while I was on my downgrade spree and I can say performance was immensely better . Everything else tho not so much ...
Better than EU for sure but I prefer global over it. Google services and everything else...

Unlock your bootloader & flash Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM. It's the best version of MIUI and includes Mi Phone (with Call Rec) & Mi Contacts.
The China ROM doesn't contain Google Services and is generally not optimised for Use outside of that region.

Lmao man you shouldn't be qualified to talk about performance at all. Based on your post from before your use case scenario is so light that you can't even notice lack of performance from 870 chips.
I've talked to users having same issue I've described literally few days ago , on top of that I've tried myself both EU and VN versions and both felt like custom ROMs in terms of severe performance instability. So much so that I'm not using either of those but waiting for features in those ROMs to come to global users.
Have you flashed China ROM ???
Tried it for yourself before calling someone out ? I really doubt that's the case. It feels and performs leagues above miui VN or EU

I've never used China ROM, but Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM is based on China ROM...how can performance be much different ? Android Vanilla is much more smooth for sure, but.. the China ROM ?
You also say Global is better than EU/EEA, but there isn't much difference. The EU ROM just tries to be GDPR comform.
Edit: I've also run Geekbench Benchmark on my Xiaomi.eu ROM and its about what I expect. Other phones with SD 870 have similar results. The clunky feeling comes from MIUI in general...

Nah the geekbank benchmark makes 0 sense when we are talking about random frame drops and stuttering lmao... But anyways it still is worse for you so yeah.....
Those random lags and stutters that you blame miui for are nonexistent on proper miui ROMs - China or global , I moved to get away from the stuttering and **** performance and am happy to report I've seen next to none ever since.
Idk what miui EU Devs are doing but it's essentially custom ROM regardless , they broke something 100% , be it by removing functionality from some crucial miui service or whatever the performance is not there.
EU version is supposed to offer higher performance in all use case scenarios over global by allowing for higher thermal limits when performance mode is activated , yet the experience is much worse with or without performance mode....
China or global only , miui EU is a joke. Based on China but trying to imitate global and ends up being worse than both lmao

I have read it, but it's hard to tell from your messages if were talking about the Custom ROM. Some people mistake Xiaomi.eu for official Xiaomi ROMs for Europe.
Regardless there isn't much difference between Global & EEA. EEA has a toggle for ads directly in the Android Setup while the other doesn't, and some other changes so its GDPR compliant. There are no differences regarding performance.
I agree that China ROMs are the best if you want pure performance on MIUI. People only use xiaomi.eu because it's convenient, but it can never be the same as the official stuffs, after all it's just a frankenstein ROM that was modified directly then released without any actual optimization.

Hello people.
If I want to flash stock firmware with "MiFlash" do I have to unlock the device and the bootloader?
I mean, it is stock firmware.
Also, wondering if this applies if I want to flash the Mi 11x firmware?
Currently running Global firmware for Poco F3, MIUI 12.5.4.
I used to have Samsung before and flash all the time, but since they started with the Knox tripping thing I stopped and now I'm a little rusted.
I changed to Xiami and couldn't be happier.
Thanks for your support

Well, the bottom line will be just to test and see the difference between MIUI and Poco MIUI.
And it will be only with Mi 11x firmware which is the same phone but "different" brand, no intention of flashing the shark firmware for instance.
I've noticed some difference with my wife's Mi11 and I liked the dialer and she can sort regents in horizontal way.

Well, that's why I'm asking here.
At the end it is the same rebranded phone.
Must important will know how to unbrick it just in case
Not sure if I'll try at all
Haha
The difference is the model. Poco F3 and Redmi K40 are the alioth model, while Mi 11X is aliothin. Most custom roms makes the distinction between models at flashing, who isn't the case for stock. There's the slight chance to brick the phone while flashing the China version, plus the baseband aren't the same.
If you like to test pure MIUI instead of Poco MIUI, why not instead extract the desired APKs in Mi 11X ROM and replace them in your Poco F3?

Hi All,
I have a Mi Device Mi11x from India. With help from users on this forum I was able to install custom Miui EU ROM in my device back in May 2021. Have been updating the device with the updates till Miui EU 12.5.18.0. Post that two more updates got released with Miui 13 being released too but the present issue is that the developers have removed support for Mi 11x devices aka aliothin devices since May 2022 released updates.
My query is that now that I want to keep my device updated, how should I proceed further? I installed custom MIui EU ROM by replacing Miui official ROM because now Miui Indian ROM doesnt come with Mi Dialler and Mi Messaging app which I find very useful for my usage. The default Google Dialer and Messaging app is too complex and unuseful for me.
Hence please help me as to which ROM should I install so that I have Miui Dialer n messaging apps. Or can I install any custom ROM and can I get Miui Dialler and messaging app installed separately??

Miui dialer only works with Miui os.
Some AOSP(especially the vanilla versions) roms have the call recorder.

xiaomi.eu rom is the best if you want miui features. i switched to eu rom because of the same reasons i.e. the miui dialer, msg app and removing the bloatware.
you can try the latest V13.0.7.0 which is a recovery rom.

Not just for the call recording feature but for unlimited call logs feature. I like the miui Dialer and Mi messaging app the best. Then there is Notes, gallery and Mi File explorer. I mean overall I like the Miui.
Now thinking to go for Indian Poco F4 5G which is universally the same released everywhere and shouldn't be a problem to get a EU ROM for the same.
There is EU rom for alioth. They are based on Chinese miui version. Aliothin is basically the Indian variant. But you can flash any region. And yes even I had issues with EU v13 rooms which is why I'm still on v12.5.
Hi all,
Thanks for everyone who has been active on my thread. My question is can I install the indonesia ROM over Miui EU ROM. The present Miui EU ROM I am on is Miui 12.5 version 12.5.18.0 RKHCNXM Stable. I guess this was a fastboot ROM.
How should I proceed with installing official Miui Indonesia ROM over Miui EU ROM without loosing data. Or what should I do to keep my data while changing ROM. The latest Miui Indonesia ROM is V13.0.2.0.SKHIDXM which is based on Android 12. I am on MIui EU ROM 12.5.18.0.RKHCNXM which is based on Android 11.
Please guide me. I want to be on latest software updates but badly need Miui Dialer n messaging apps.

Changing version involves the loss of data.
Use Micloud for a Backup

I have a global version of Xiaomi 13 pro with custom Chinese based Rom. Unfortunately, the rom doesn't have eSim support, so I'm looking for a way to enable it.
What I did so far:
1) added this line to build.prop. It added eSim option to the settings app, but manage eSim tab doesn't work
ro.vendor.miui.support_esim=true
2) then I installed LPA Xiaomi app and launched it with activity launcher. It got me to the manage eSim menu, but when I try to add a esim, it just says that some error occurred.
I really want to have eSim working, but not sure, what else is missing. If anybody knows how to make it work, I would really appreciate any help.
Use a Xiaomi Eu rom

The rom I'm using has more features, that's why I wanna keep it, but also want to enable eSim.

Not sure since Xiaomi Eu rom uses the latest Chinese firmware.
Today's Weekly update uses V14.0.23.4.25.DEV.
Made it work by making LPA a system app.

Only works if your device is a global version.
Thank you. It is the global version and I intend to install the stable version from xiaomi.eu . I also need a functional esim.

Esim as the bands are at HW levels, nothing is changed whether you have a CN or Global version.
You will still have what you had with a stock rom.
No more no less.
