I have a Mi Device Mi11x from India. With help from users on this forum I was able to install custom Miui EU ROM in my device back in May 2021. Have been updating the device with the updates till Miui EU 12.5.18.0. Post that two more updates got released with Miui 13 being released too but the present issue is that the developers have removed support for Mi 11x devices aka aliothin devices since May 2022 released updates.
My query is that now that I want to keep my device updated, how should I proceed further? I installed custom MIui EU ROM by replacing Miui official ROM because now Miui Indian ROM doesnt come with Mi Dialler and Mi Messaging app which I find very useful for my usage. The default Google Dialer and Messaging app is too complex and unuseful for me.
Hence please help me as to which ROM should I install so that I have Miui Dialer n messaging apps. Or can I install any custom ROM and can I get Miui Dialler and messaging app installed separately??

Miui dialer only works with Miui os.
Some AOSP(especially the vanilla versions) roms have the call recorder.

xiaomi.eu rom is the best if you want miui features. i switched to eu rom because of the same reasons i.e. the miui dialer, msg app and removing the bloatware.
you can try the latest V13.0.7.0 which is a recovery rom.

But they removed support for Mi 11x which is a aliothin device. They remove code for aliothin. And bcoz of which installing the latest eu rom created certain issues in Mi 11x.

Not just for the call recording feature but for unlimited call logs feature. I like the miui Dialer and Mi messaging app the best. Then there is Notes, gallery and Mi File explorer. I mean overall I like the Miui.
Now thinking to go for Indian Poco F4 5G which is universally the same released everywhere and shouldn't be a problem to get a EU ROM for the same.
There is EU rom for alioth. They are based on Chinese miui version. Aliothin is basically the Indian variant. But you can flash any region. And yes even I had issues with EU v13 rooms which is why I'm still on v12.5.

Changing version involves the loss of data.

I have a Mi 5s with MIUI v8.2.1.0 (MAGMIDL, Global Stable), but I want to switch to a Nougat ROM.
I saw on the official site (http://en.miui.com/download-314.html#465) MIUI v7.5.25 (Global Developer), but I have few question about that:
Which language are included? I need Italian
How can I install it over my current ROM?
In case Italian is not present... could you suggest me a good and stable (enough for daily use, with FingerPrint working and a decent battery life) Nougat ROM? I don't mind if it is MIUI or not. I can unlock bootloader too if needed, but I would prefer to keep it locked.

Hi...in the first....that 7.5.25 build is based still on android 6....and yes it have italian cuse its global dev rom....Now xiaomi is testing the android 7 for our devices....but if you want Miui on 7....you can do like me....unlock your bootloader, chaange to TWRP Recovery, go to xiaomi.eu website and download latest weekly rom for mi5s....it is based on android 7.0, it is verrryyyy stable and have the 3d touch feature....

Do a clean install....everytime when going from ANDROID 6 TO 7 EVERYTIME....and you can not wipe you internal storage....but always wipe system....
Will it is a wise decision to flash MIUI china beta rom from MIUI indian global rom??
Why to do this ?
as global rom is not regularly updated
IMHO, It's not worth it ! If the phone is working fine now, leave it that way !

well I tried chinese beta rom few weeks back because I just have a nack for beta versions lol..anyway..the only thing I had to deal with was the huge amount of bloatware(even more than global roms)..full of chinese crap..and even file manager and themes app ask for IMEI and IMSI permissions...also it doesn't have google apps installed so you have to flash gapps separately(not an issue for me though)..now if you wanna stay on china rom then I recommend uninstalling all the bloatware and even file manager and then use file manager by xiaomi.inc from play store(or any other file manager)..Only other issue you will face is all the bloatware will come back after updating your rom so you have to remove everything and flash gapps all over again..
For this reason I suggest you use some other miui based rom preferably EU[no not the stock eu... find eu rom here](stable or beta is your choice)..EU stable rom is based on china stable and beta one is based on china beta. It'll have all features of china rom, debloated and much more customization, tweaks and optimization..other miui based roms include miui mix,mi room,mi novo, revolution os miui.

i am currently using miui official rom for indian version i switched to some aosp based roms and couldnt find the feel of miui 12 that smoothness and all the animation i know i am being a bit weird coz not everyone likes miui rom i just wanna switch to a miui based custom rom which will give me lesser bugs than the official miui and also the feel of miui. Ive searched for miui pro but a thread here at xda suggests its not good with a lot of bugs and inconvinience can anyone suggest a good miui based custom rom like xiaomi.ey just because they dropped the idea to work on this device even though now that every other roms are working just smooth plz someone suggest or give me any link so that i can proceed to install thanks in advance

They dropped so early, the bricks issues were solved without almost any risk following the proper steps and all the anti-brick files are there. ok so basically there isnt any other rom based on android 10 i needed to ask one more thing can i flash global stable or china beta in my indian variant because the indian variant lacks nfc and a slight change so will the global rom effect the device or is it safe?

A guy here is claiming to have a Miui Pro ROM based on Android 10 https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-eu-hmnote8pro-mtk-begonia-support.53542/post-522711 and asking to Google this is the result https://forum.miuipro.info/viewtopic.php?t=4432&start=200 I didn't checked my self so is a downgrade (not interested).

I have RN8P Global and have flashed Indonesia ROM, Android 10 MIUI 12, in order to get call recording. If/when there is MIUI update and I use System Apps Updater, will phone revert to standard Global ROM (and lose call recording) or will it update to new MIUI with Indonesia ROM?
After installing Indonesia rom in mi 11x camera app closing when I try click a photo earlier it doesn't occurred to me. Am i missing anything?

When you mean a "Indonesia rom" are we talking Stock or Custom Rom,
was your phone ok up to when you flashed this rom,
have you tried to do a Factory reset from within the rom,
i have found that when things go a bit strange installing stock Firmware (without re-locking your bootloader) fixes must issues,
Install your new rom over the top of the stock firmware,
once completed remember to Format data,
I hope you sort it

Most likely that problem is from source, try downgrade other version indonesia firmware.
To fix this problem you can change fingerprint from aliothin to alioth using magisk hide props

Hi,
If you have a unlocked bootloader, i would suggest to move away from Stock MIUI, if you prefer the MIUI way of things then i would also suggest a Xiaomi.eu rom as cyngalaxy did.
I am not a fan of MIUI Roms, as they limit me from using my Galaxy watch as a trusted device in the secutiry setting,
I use the Evo-X v7.4 rom and i it!

when flashing a global or a chinese miui on mi 11x, you'll have plenty of random bugs

I never faced any problem with miui 12.5 Indonesia stock rom though
