Question Binary version - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Can i downgrade the binary version of a52s from u2 to u1

Nope, thats not possible.
The binary version is an anti-rollback feature that's supposed to prevent you from flashing older firmwares that eventually have security issues.

If i install custom rom will it help ?
The main proplem is the mobile data network is week in onui 5.1

Binary version is not tied to the ROM you're using, it's baked right into the bootloader/firmware. You can't ever again downgrade that.

Can someone post steps on updating SE Arc to the latest 2 August Update.
I'm with rogers right now and have a Rooted phone with
Build - 3.0.1.A.0.145
Kernal Version- 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected]#1
I also believe that if I update my root will be lost, is that true ?
If I update will I loose my data too?
Updating through flash tool and all what does that mean ?
What is pre-rooted kernal ?
Thanks in Advance

1. TRUE
2. YES
3. Bcoz flashtool is the only one way to flash this new fw, we just have ftf file at the moment.
4. pre-rooted kernel give u root permission so that you don't have to wait for the rooted firmware image (.img file)

So in the Development section we have a pre-rooted kernal with the new update, does it mean if we update it to that kernal we not only get a new kernal but also will have an updated firmware with superuser ?
Or it's just a kernal that's compatible with the new 4.0 firmware update ?

You partly right, this prerooted kernel (DoomLoRD kernel, correct me if i'm wrong) is based on the kernel of new firmware 4.0.A.2.368, so theoretically, you can use the lastest firmware with root permission based on this kernel

A 2nd kernel has been posted because Doomlord's has issues with CPU speed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202479

As for rooting, OP can't install a pre-rooted (insecure/rootable) kernel because OP can't unlock the bootloader because OP has a carrier-branded arc. Therefore OP will not be able to have 4.0.A.2.368 rooted (yet).

I just Google'd N910VVRU2BPA1 because I honestly forgot. It looks like it's 5.1.1.
That said, if you're looking to unlock and root, you''ll need to basically root, unlock, install a safe version of MM, and again root & unlock, BEFORE you can install any ROMs.
this thread has everything in it and provides you with links to other threads on how to unlock. - https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...t/howto-bootloader-unlock-upgrade-to-t3398144
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
Yeah. Thank you. Now I have unlocked my new bootloader cpd1 with 6.0.1 version. Before I had bpa1 based 6.0.1

Odin is official Samsung software for flashing official Samsung firmware.
But, once you are on the latest Pie bootloader you can't downgrade to latest Oreo, so it will be impossible.
Dude... there are a bunch of J600F Oreo ROMs hellooooo

IMEI and Baseband Version Note 10+ 5g N976B

Hi
Current Device details:
Model : Note 10+ 5g N976B
AP: N976BXXU1BSLA
CP: N976BXXS1ASJA
CSC: N976BOBE1BSLA
Build Date:2019-12-18
Knox Status : 0x1 (tripped)
Android Version: 10
Latest Official ROM Details:
AP: N976BXXS4CTD1
CP: N976BXXS4CTD1
CSC: N976BOBE4CTD1
Build Date: 2020-04-28
IMEI of my device is already changed before i bought the handset due to which KNOX is now tripped and i am unable to use Samsung Apps and OTA updates currently device is not rooted.
Q1: if i update to latest official ROM using ODIN. will this restore the original IMEI? i dont want the IMEI to get Restored as the current IMEI is registered with my country Telecom Authority and if it gets replaced/restored then i have to repay the tax for Original/new IMEI which is ~250 USD.
Q2: Currently the Android version installed is Android 10 but the Baseband/modem/cp version is from Android 9 and works perfect. Is it safe to update it to latest version "N976BXXS4CTD1" also can i update the ROM to latest without updating CP version and will it still works fine with latest ROM?
Q3: the installed ROM is of Region GB EVR (EE) but the Basebased/CP version is of GB BTU? will updating the CP cause any problem?
Q4: if i root my device and replace the configuration values of KNOX/Reset KNOX counter will this solve my problem of using Samsung Apps and OTA? also there is a website knoxreset.com which claims to make all Samsung Apps work with OTA updates enabled by faking KNOX script. How true is that? have any one tried it?
plz help me in answering my queries.

When you root the phone it is understood that KNOX will be tripped, warranty will be void and any apps that depend on knox will no longer work. I am not sure about the OTA update thing, but it wouldn't surprise me.. Still you can perform the updates manually with Odin.

No it will not restore the original IMEI number. While I am not sure why the IMEI number was changed if the phone was rooted, once knox is tripped it is permanently tripped on the motherboard. No method exists that will fix that, outside of replacing the motherboard with a new one.

I am not sure if that will work being that the baseband is from Android 9 and what your wanting to flash is something from Android 10. IMHO I wouldn't do that... Perhaps someone else may have a better idea if this is possible or not.

I can't answer this one because I don't live in the region your in... You will have to wait for someone who does to post for answers.

The answer is no.
Knox warranty bit when tripped blows an E-Fuse. It is not repairable nor is it fixable in any way what so ever unless you change the motherboard with a different one that doesn't have knox tripped.

How to find lates Kernel and Bootloader?

Hello together,
I'm currently using AlexisROM (Android 10) and want to try Noble ROM (Android 11) on my Galaxy S9 (G960F). On the how-to theres a point regarding kernel and bootloader: "4. Update your MODEM AND BOOTLOADER BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM".
Can someone explain me what that mean in detail for my S9? How can I find the latest Bootloader and Kernel?
My current software details:
Baseband: G960FXXUFFUE1
Kernel: 4.9.118-21637096
Build: AR2.7.1_G960FXXUFFUE1
Thanks in advanced.
Chris
The modem ( CP ) and bootloader ( BL ) comes with your firmware
If your on latest stock firmware then you have the latest version of everything
If on a different rom then flash latest stock rom

Thanks for your reply. I will do that.
Assume that the manufacturer no longer provides firmware updates. Assuming the last update came along with Android 10.
Can I also install newer, custom ROMs with this latest Android (e.g. with Android 11 or soon also Android 12) or what must then be done to ensure that the latest BL and CL are in place?

Samsung devices i believe only get two majors updates to the OS ie: 8 ( original )-9-10. So android version 10 will be the latest that you get, any updates after that will be minor and security.
As for customs roms you will have to look in the rom section for more information.
The latest firmware is G960FXXUGFUG4 ( android 10 ). If you do a full flash you will have to start from scratch again. ie: unlock bootloader, flash twrp etc
