Hi,
how can I use 3rd part launchers with gestures? Nova for example.
Full screen gestures are part of the launcher and work only when the MIUI System launcher is the default launcher.
Try fluid navigation gestures or Root +magisk modules maybe.

Please read my question again. I'm asking that there is any way to achieve (as root) that because it's not possible. Gestures work only with build in luncher.
try the app "mygesture" , it works with nova without rout. you can customize your gesture the way you want.

As questioned, is there away to remove or change the app draw icon on the homescreen on stock launcher, i was hoping tweakbox would have an option to remove/change this.
I know i could use visualizer and make another one - but thats no use when the icons still there
I prefer a 3rd party launcher, but when using the Home launcher I use ThemeX to extract icons and/or wallpapers from my apex/Nova themes and icon zip files.
I've found some LG home themes with app drawer icons I could stomach and would apply it and then change my other icons. Not a solution, just sharing.
Is that an iPhone 6 ?......."LMFAO!!!!"… said my G3
Yea i usually use a 3rd party launcher, namely Holo - but i noticed it runs like poo on the G3 - stock was far better.
However i tried Nova today - much MUCH better, ill be sticking with that for a while, its much faster than stock for me anyways.
and i can ditch that icon
I also was wondering how to change some icons out with the stock launcher. I don't want to lose the knock knock on/off functionality, so I'd prefer not to switch launchers.

the unicon beta which works without problems on my d855 can you get from here... you have to join the unicon g+ community and beta program on google play, then you can download the unicon beta but the procedure how to get the beta is there explained
Awesome, I'll check that out, thanks!
Hey friends,
I have a Verizon moto Z2 play and I understand that if I install a non stock launcher, it would have the ability to hide apps in the app drawer/tray.
I need a recommendation. I like my stock launcher, I just want one that will hide apps. So is there a launcher that behaves and looks like the stock launcher but has the ability to hide apps?
Thank you
Nova Launcher. It has a lot of customizations. You can configure it to look like the stock launcher.

Oh, I forgot the prime. I think you need it in order to hide the apps
Action Launcher lets you hide apps. Not sure if that feature of available in the free version of Action Launcher, though, but you could easily check it out.
FYI, Nova Launcher Prime goes on sale, for 99¢ we very few months. Be on the lookout.
Nova is the only third party launcher I have liked.
You can also just disable the apps even with the stock launcher. That hides them. But maybe you are wanting to still use the hidden ones...
Just wanted to know if it is something I done wrong but when I use the android 10 gestures with any custom launcher the gestures dont work as well and the animations are kind of buggy.
Two things, in my opinion, that you did wrong; migrate to Q and use a custom launcher.
Pie and One UI are fast, stable, get good battery life* , are reasonably secure and are very customizable.
Never fix something that isn't broke... unless you want some "fun", adventure and have a lot of time to kill.
*Once optimized. Part of the "fun", adventure and a lot of time to kill thing:laugh:

There hundreds of third party launchers for Android.
Which "custom" launcher are you using?
I use Microsoft Launcher and Samsung OneUI 2.5 gestures work fine.

I tried with Nova, Lawchair and Action Launcher.
I teste the MS Launcher and the animations are still not working link the stock launcher. I took a screenshot to show how the dock icons appears at the bottom when changing apps. Sometimes the bottom gestures stop working all together. None os theses things happen when using stock launcher.

The title sums it up - Is it possible to use gesture navigation with 3rd party launchers (like Nova Launcher) on the iQOO 9 Pro?

Yes, NAV Gestures work with 3rd Party launchers, however, some animations (like recent apps) don't and there may be some instability overall.

Did you guys find any workaround to make it work as it should? The animation ****ing up is the main reason I'm still on stock launcher and considering banging my head against the wall. :/
So I updated to miui 14 and the option to lock apps is not available anymore. In previous versions you would just hold the app down in the recents list and then the options would come up to to lock the app or not.
I have two identical phones and it is the case in both of them.
Ok it seems the option has just gone in Nova Launcher if I revert back to the normal system launcher the options are there!
So a temporary work around until Nova Launcher is updated is to switch to the system launcher and lock apps there and then switch back to to Nova Launcher.
I have now contacted Nova Launcher to see see whether this can be implemented

I have the same issue, and that what i do too. there is no other troubleshoot yet.
when playing with four fingers, the navigation bar opens with the notification bar even with the option of do not disturb as I anchor to the game without interruptions
