Question Teams calls not possible (permission issue) - Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

I cannot make or join calls with MS teams on my Xiaomi Tab 5 Pro running on MIUI14.
Teams gives a notification that my device needs phone permissions. However, the permission option "Make phone calls" is simply not available to choose. I checked my Xiaomi Fold 2 phone where it is working correctly and there is the permission "make phone calls" available.
I can make video calls with WhatsApp so it seems it is not a hardware limitation.
Anyone a solution for this?

Same issue here. It looks like an issue linked with the miui update or the teams app update as I've used Teams calls before many times.
Hoping someone has a workaround/solve to this.

I found a workaround for this moment: use the September 2022 teams version and it will work

OK guys, some of you know our work. I am going to the states for their capitalist xmas holidays and will buy one of these silly plastic phones again to check for issues. But before then, we need some feedback on our existing apps. Most importantly Root Call Blocker and Call Master.

This is the basic call blocker we make. Uses the same daemon but is for noob users. If you are not a customer, you can approximate full functionality through Google Contact Groups. Use the online contact manager to create your group if you down own the full version.

This is what I've tested so far: Green Led illuminates when an action is met
Tested standard blocking by adding a specific number: Good
Tested all wildcard entries (455*, ##455*, etc): Good
Tested unknown/restricted numbers: Good
Tested Not in Contacts: Good
Gate Keeper (nice feature): Not working
I tried everything on this one. Had set under uknown numbers, 1 min interval, 2 calls. Did not completely understand the interval setting so I tried both possible situations (2 calls with in 1 min and 2 calls with a 1 min lapse). Also tried with 3 calls/5 min interval. Could not get it to allow calls with gate keeper.

When a set time frame is set for a profile, It will block properly. Once outside of the time schedule, it still continues to block.

Also, schedules will keep using the last profile in the cue, that is not a bug.

Yep, i see it now. Its an error all right - the daemon seems to be going down when gatekeeper is enabled.
I am going to the states on sunday so i will get the gn and hopefully fix the issue first thing after xmas, around the 27th.

I've been using the call blocker for a few days and so far its working great. I tested a few of the settings and no problems. I do have a couple suggestions
I have people that I have blocked because I don't ever want to talk to them again.
-maybe an option to not keep a log in the app of blocked messages/calls because i still feel like i have to go in and check it all the time so an option to not save the history in the app would be nice. right now i had a friend set the password and not tell me it. so far I cannot find a call blocker app on the market which you can opt out of keeping your blocked history in the app.
-also the interface for setting profiles and exceptions took me a while to figure out as it was confusing for me. but that could just be me.
- lastly a setting to automatically reply to a blocked sms and not just calls. i didn't see an option for that maybe i missed it? I use "Your number has been blocked (automated message)" and would like it to say that to blocked texts also.
anyway, thank you for the great app! major stress reliever

Hi. If you are talking about CM, both of your suggestions are already there.
You can stop people in a list from being logged entirely by unticking "Log" in the Blocking action Settings you have added to that list. RCB also supports this.
Also, both apps apply the auto-reply function to contacts, which mean that both calls and sms will be replied to. In RCB this can only be done through Global or Exception settings.
ah great thank you! Somehow I missed that, I still cant find where to auto-reply to SMS. I only see the box for "Enable SMS auto-replies for blocked calls" i tested and it works but only for calls, if i add someone to my blocked exceptions the only options are default, block, block&save, or don't block.

Working perfect here - one issue when restoring app from a new rom flash - quickly moved to restored Root Call Blocker and tested to find not working properly - uninstalled and downloaded again seemed to fix it - guess something messed with root so manually adding to su may have fixed without the uninstall - first class and best tried

Regarding restoring. Yep, this is generally an issue with superuser. Just go into su and forget rcb, then go into rcb and restart the ril or telephony so it prompts for su rights again.

Not getting notifications on huawei watch post AW2 update

I was on latest AW 2 preview version and then updated to AW2 version via OTA received on watch. The notifications worked for few times and then stopped completely. I tried rebooting the watch, phone (honor 7) but nothing changed. I tried uninstalling and installing the android wear app but still nothing changed. I tried restoring and adding watch again to phone but still nothing happened. I even did clean install of AW 2 (wiping the partition and sideloading the firmware) but still nothing changed. Is it happening for anybody else or does anybody has solution to fix it. I suspect it has something to do with the AW app. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I've been using an app called "informer wear" Search for it in the Playstore. It works great for me.

I had that happen yesterday on another watch still on 1.5. It resolved after rebooting my phone (S7e). So it's not just 2.0
Notifications have started to come theough now on my watch. Only thing that I changed was that I gave AW app 'priority display' permission under Notifications
I'm getting gmail and text notifications, but not my exchange email. High priority didn't help me. Even adding my exchange email to the gmail app didn't work.

it is a bug and solved by accident for me, just receive a call while you are connecting your watch to your smartphone and answer using the watch and talk using the watch.
then after closing the line using the watch also, all notifications will appear

Ive ordered mine getting it after few days from now, hope everything will be gone smooth without problems..
I no longer get any notifications after upgrading to 2.0. Only the call in comes thru.
Resetting my watch and rebooting my phone did not help either.

Have you tried a different watchface? I'm using WatchR and don't have a problem with notifications. I have the paid version so I'm not sure if the free version will work. I get both a full screen notification as well as a colored circle at the bottom with the number of notifications.

I use the stock watchfaces Huawei bundled in the firmware.

I'm using the stock watch faces - and this coloured circle you mention intrigues me. I miss having the notification at the bottom of the screen to pull up.
My notification are coming through - but I have no way of knowing there's a notification unless I swipe up to check. Is this the same for everyone else? No actual visible notification unless swiping up? I've turned on 'High' notification previews, but that's also not really what I want as I then lose the watch face.

Originally I was quite impressed for Huawei to have a presence here - went to try the chat about my issue with notifications and was told 'ask Google'. Super.
Huawei: Since this is an Android-related issues, please contact the local support for Android Wear, as they are the developers of the software and best equipped to offer you assistance with this.

The colored dot only shows with special AW 2.0 optimized watch faces and AFAIK, none if the stock HW 1 watch faces.

The biggest problem I have is that they disappear after swiping through them. So say you get a Facebook notification & text. If the text is the second notification & you swipe past Facebook, you don't get to go back. With the previous AW version you could swipe as much as you like until you dismissed them or read them, etc. Bugs the hell out of me with 2.0 when it all disappears.

I'm having the same problem now and then . After restoring a backup , notifications stopped working .
Factory reset on wear and paired again .
resync apps
Clear data for Play services and play services for instant apps
reboot both and It starts working .

Hi, found this forum and wanted to ask if anyone having the same issue.
mine is lte.. before buying this watch i read online says that all notification from phone will receive without any bluetooth connection, i was interested on it.
eventually i bought the watch and all set up, but found out that the notification sometime receive and sometime not. So i realise the notif will receive when the phone is on then all notification will be received, but when phone is screen off / stand by mode all notification can't receive.
anybody having this issue? maybe there is some setting that has to be set so when you leave the phone all notif can be receive on watch?
and as i can see Huawei is in this forum, it will be great if you can assist on this issue.

Question (Bugs Fixed 12.5.4.0) Can someone submit bugs in Miui Eu 12.5.3.0

Hi All,
Recently a week back I installed xiaomi EU ROM 12.5.2.0 via fast food method on my MI 11x. Three days later xiaomi EU ROM 12.5.3.0 was released and I updated to the same.
While I was on 12.5.2.0, I had removed Google calendar app and installed MI calendar app. It was working for the first three days until I updated to 12.5.3.0.
Today when I tried to access my calendar app it wasn't launching. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but it doesn't get installed. While trying to install from play store a message is displayed that the app cannot be installed. I cleared cache and data of Google play store Google play services and again tried to reinstall MI calendar app but it behaves the same. If someone has a xiaomi EU account please post this bug on the platform.
I have encountered another bug in call history screen. Earlier whenever we opened a contact we could see recent call history of the contact. And after clicking show more option under the recent call history of that contact another screen used to show us complete call history of that contact. In this complete call history screen there were three options present namely 1) Clear History 2) Call notes and 3) Recorded calls. Now none of these three options are present in the the complete call history screen.
Please post these two bugs on xiaomi EU forum. I am unable to register on xiaomi EU forum.

Also just to add -> Earlier in call history screen of a particular contact, it was possible to delete multiple call records by selection but now its only one entry deletion at a time. And calls getting recorded are now randomly appearing sometimes in call history but no way to delete them. To view recorded calls, one needs to open a contact then click on show more to see complete call history and then again navigate into the specific call history entry by clicking '>' at the end of the call history entry and then a new screen appears showing details abt that particular call history entry. Here sometimes recorded call is being shown and sometimes it isn't..and in no way one cannot delete call recording now. All one can do is remove from call history, that particular call history entry and call recording will just sit as it is in internal memory.

The bugs I had earlier reported have been fixed in latest 12.5.4.0 release. Thanks to anyone who might have submitted those bugs to Xiaomi EU team. Glad that I can use handset for my intended purposes.

General Black Shark 4 Pro JoyUI 13 Experiences

Finally new BS4Pro update with JoyUI 13 android 12. A new feature includes shark spaces, screenshot editor, systems Interface, themes, icons … whatever.
Incoming / receiving calls got an issue at first. Cannot make a single call & no speech voice when receiving a call. However, finally make them work again by removing SIM Card, changing preferred network type, reseting forward calling from Xiaomi Contact/Dialer ... , and resetting blocklist feature from security.
Anyone got a new experience!!

If I recall correctly, Go to Setting > Account & Sync > Sing to Mi Account
Let your account accessible for almost weeks or months (DO NOT Sign OUT at all), while that, try to "Check for Updates" button frequently from "My devices" option.
the update might pop up for you. I know it's a crazy waiting time process. but it did the purpose of updating into new ROM

Has LineageOS solved the SMS limits problem?

I have written a very simple app which uncovers a problem with Android. It seems that the Android developers have implemented SMS sending limits as an anti SPAM mechanism. Here is a link to a stackoverflow question which includes my code which uncovers the problem. I want to develop an app that sends SMS messages to a number (thousands) of registered users of Friday morning to inform them of what time Shabbos will start. Because of the limits imposed by the Android operating system this seems to not be possible at the moment. I have even tried writing two apps. App 1 launches and relaunches app 2. App 2 sends a hundred SMS messages. This seems to make some progress but also runs into limitations.
So my question is this. Are LineageOS developers aware of this problem? Has it been solved already? If not, does anybody have any idea what a patch would look like that would solve this problem? I imagine there is some variable somewhere in the code which defines what too many SMS messages looks like to the system. Presumably this can be tweaked or even bypassed to alleviate the problem.
