Official Miui roms support NFC- enable sim card. I tried different custom roms but could not find one supporting NFC-enable sim card. Dose anyone have a clue for this issue?

What's the difference to normal NFC? Do some apps just not work with normal NFC?

For example, “NFC Mobile iPASS” is a cloud iPASS mobile wallet loaded onto the SIM card of your mobile phone. As long as you have an NFC-enabled Android device and meet suppliers’ requirements for SIM card application, you may apply for mobile iPASS and start to use your Android device as your electronic wallet. You can use your mobile device as a means of payment on purchasing or public transportation after activating NFC on your device.

Hello,
I want to develop the NFC Payment App on My Sony Xperia S. I would like to know that the Android SDK support NFC Card Emulation mode or not?

On that one. I'm currently working my way through the OS and your code. What I'd like to answer are two questions:
1. Is this card emulation still limited to NXP's PN544, or can any phone with NFC and Android use this feature? Some of the changes conducted make me believe this is the case.
2. Do you think or know if its possible to actually add more reader detection support? Basicly what you did was adding new notification events etc. that would let the system know that a new NFC reader was detected. Would that work for other types of readers as well? (For example Mifare, Legic, iClass)? I't seems to me I don't have a deep enough understanding of the android os specifics and limitations yet, so excuse me if those questions are stupid
Edit:
Ok, for question 1 I found the answer myself. Devices are listed here. My second question still stands though :/
Hey does anyone know what the best nfc app is..I want to scan my credit card and then use it to pay for items at store with my phone..is this what NFC is for?
I also would like to scan my badge for work to get me into security doors..It would be nice to just put my phone up to door to get in rather than always pulling out my badge...does nfc do this and how??
Just wondering if all this is possible..sorry for the noob questions but running Jedi x6 and notice i have NFC on my device and can enable it....Thanks for anyone's help and if this has been asked before sorry...searched articles and couldn't find answer....Thanks again...

As for security doors even if there is an app it may not be something your employer would want you doing.

I would like to ask questions about how this type of device works in general. How to assign which sim card would handle the data, which sim can handle your text messages? And when one sim card is handling your text messages what happens when the other sim card is sent text messages, will you miss them or they still come in?

If the op's need to know, the sim 1 and sim 2 icons can be changed, they have various types of icon for you to choose from.

I see it knows how to manage the sims better than I thought. Thanks for the pics. How is the battery life? And I'm assuming you cant custom rom this device or you'll lose the dual sim capability? Or are there specific roms you could use?

Hello,
Bumping this since I'm at same point.
Find the OS must be Linux but nothing else. Would need a firmware to upload to the car which let me exit the MBUX software to check the OS and all files, any clues the readers ?
Dealer Mode?

I did notice they have a setting for Dashcam and it’s subscription based. Wonder if there is a way to activate it.

I think the only way to activate it and bypass some securities is to go through the OBD.
Anyone?

Anyone have any knowledge of hacking this system yet? Furthermore anyone know where the SIM card slot is for these cars? Or is it an E-Sim?

From what I read it is an E-SIM.
Hello guys,
If this Mbux system is the new head unit on the A-Class I can confirm from an inside source that it is Linux indeed.
I cannot say much more since I am not directly involved.
As to eSIM, it most probably have such a thing. At least the previous systems (like the one installed on the E-class) have an eSIM. So I see to reason why this one shouldn't have one too.
All the best!

You are right, you can see the specs here : https://media.daimler.com/marsMedia...lance-The-key-data-on-MBUX.xhtml?oid=32705799
There are probably a lot of interesting things in it, but how.
The only way I see is through OBD.
Hi, tomorrow I'll take my new A class so I take a sit here ... I like to take advantage of all digital things...

It an esim like Opel
Anyway to see the e-sim id? Currently in Canada and it appears Mercedes has a deal with AT&T but pricing for Canadian users is ridiculous.
Want to see if I can get it activated with another provider or what potentials options I maybe able to work out as I cannot share data from my phone plan in the car which is also a shame.
