Can you completely backup data from all apps without root?
Thank you in advance
/CK
I have never found a way to do this --- don't think it's possible because without root you have no access to needed folder.

I was trying to uninstall all the apps that i didn't use on factory t-mobile's network. (factory games, my tmobile etc. etc.) Anyone know how to get rid of this? My phone is rooted but I'd like to keep my factory ROM. Many thanks ahead of time!

Either Freeze the apps with Titanium Backup Pro, or delete the APK's using Root Explorer (apps are in /system/app).

thank you so much for your help guys! the titanium software worked! I've got all that junk i didn't want deleted.... saved me a ton of headache since I have to look through the phone a thousand times to find the one piece of software i wanted.
Hey guys, I need your help. Will the phone reset to defaults if I flashed an ftf to my phone? I was just making sure because I don't want to lose all the save files on my games. I can't root it yet (because it is in 4.0.1.a.0.62, that's why I need to flash it with .42) so I can't use titanium backup. Please help.
If it will delete all the data on the phone or there aren't any available methods to avoid it, well aren't there any apps for backing up my games that will include the data with the app? Thanks

Yes flashing a FTF file will wipe your phone to factory settings, the only data that will remain is whatever you have on your SD card.
As for rooting I'd try superoneclick, just in case, it might work. If not I think your best bet would be downloading Androzip from the store, navigating to the backup tag and back up your apps NOTE: I DON"T THINK THIS WILL BACK UP YOUR APP DATA SO BE WARNED.
Oh? Aren't there any apps that can backup my apps including its save data? I can't root it on superoneclick, even doomlord's zergrush. I'm gonna think about it first. Or do some research for new ways to backup these.
Thanks anyway

I think the title is misleading? It is just the same way how I root my phone but still it is stuck on step 7. I guess there's no other way except from downgrading it to .42 or .58. I was trying to flash the .42 ftf on fastboot a while ago, and there are checkboxes that says clear cache, clear data and clear user data, but ticking those boxes didn't help at all. I have no choice but to wipe all my progress. Thanks anyway.

'm a newbie here so sorry if it is very stupid question.
I have just rooted my device and I found that I can't enter the knox mode anymore.
I have stored some files in knox mode and forgot to move it out.
Is there anyway to restore these files? If it can't, can I delete all of them because these files are heavy - which are 6 GBs.
I prefer deleting these files 'cause of they're too large.
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.
As I know supersu disable the Knox,u can not access to it.
Delete I think no problem.

I can't access even I didn't disable knox in supersu. Anyway, could you show me how to delete its data?
Can use titanium backup to delete few Knox files.

I think I can use root browser to delete the files, but I don't know where they're stored
I am looking to root but have just set it all up. Whats the best app to back everything up so once roted and i have lost everyting it starts again the same way i left it
Best backup app with root access is still Titanium Backup imo. Helium sucks and isn`t worth your money to be honest.
Using Titanium Backup for years now... It's all you need!
Cheers, Axel
I need it before root so that when it is rooted i can just put all apps etc back on

Sorry, misunderstood your intention I would suggest a nandroid backup with TWRP ! This way you can recall the phone exactly as it was when performing the backup...

Root first then setup. Google will restore all apps but without media, calls, emails or text. For all this you need some cloud backup because root require bootloader to be opened so device will be wiped.
