when ever i make calls and increase the incall volume ,,,the other person voices starts to crackle and break up ??? what could be the problem?
when i use the headphones its really clear and loud but the earpiece keeps crackling and breaking up ??
Hey I have the same issue on my Q AND my Dash so its gotta be a network issue. I was thinking it was the Q because it started happening when I got the phone, I got sick of it and decided to dust off the ol dash to try out the Energy ROM, and whadaya know, Same crackling sound. WTF?!?!
Edit: I still notice the same break-up sound when I have and earpiece but its not as noticeable.
yea but it happens only when i increase the volume when its on low its perfect..
Yea i was shopping for a new earphone thinking that was the problem at first.
well i get it on two different phones, your gettin it, my gf has a razr v9 but says she never heard any static, so i dunno. im guessing its some kind of network issue.
the ear speaker on the dash is the same as any old blackberry.
this happend on my dash when i turned up the volume, but i switched the speaker from an old 7100t and now its clear.
Hey guys, I just got my SGSIII and I am suffering from low speaker volume when making calls. The back speaker works fine but the front speaker is very low when I put it to my ear, even when I enable extra volume. I actually traded somebody for this phone, so I'm worried that they may have messed it up somehow and not told me. It doesn't sound like it's been blown or anything, the sound is clear and crisp however it's just extremely hard to hear the person on the other end.
Have any of you experienced similar issues and is there a potential fix? I just got the phone, so I haven't had a chance to root it and load a custom rom, but is there any chance that may fix the issue?
Does your loud speaker crackles while speaking with someone and volume is more than a half up or at max?
Maybe my note II speaker is bad but I have seen other threads about this but not much statistics and answers! Crackling is pretty obvious when volume is high on mine...
Music sounds normal, but mostly voice is crackling, especially when in call. Annoying!
Had no problems until i had a SDS.
It has been repaired and after that the sound is crackling but not on the voices but on alarms etc. I adjusted the volumes but noting seems to be helping. Even when set on a minimum.
Hi.
I'm on the new android 1.4 update with speaker support. When I make a phone call, I either get really low volume on the speaker (have to put my to my ears to listen) or the speaker has decent volume and distorts (like when you play loud music on tiny speakers). I'm wondering for those with the new update if that's normal or there might be an issue with my watch
Thanks
Unfortunately, I think it's an issue with your watch. The speaker is actually pretty loud, you can easily hear the voice from 2 meters away. The sound itself is also pretty clear, of course bass performance is reduced, but the speaker is suitable for phone calls.

Thanks for your reply. Is your watch the same volume all the time if you don't adjust the volume. My watch works fine at times and then for no reason you can barely hear anything and have to put the watch upto your ear. Also do you get any distortion at all on phone calls i.e. squeaky or mumbling voice

Yes, my watch keeps the volume at the same level as long as I do not change it manually. There is also no distortion on phone calls.
Did you get the watch to work??? I have the same exact problem you are having

No afraid not. Have contacted Huawei support today in the UK and they have escalated it to head office and will let me know what happens next. Will update the thread when I hear something back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenwatch-2/general/speaker-scratch-call-volume-maximum-t3332476
Zenwatch 2 have the same problem... So i think that the problem it's on android 6.0.1... The volume in call it's very low and if you use in a car, it's difficoult to hear! Also the speaker as you said distorts the sound !!! This , however, does not happen by listening to the music ! if you use google play the sound is higher than the call! but high- volume music have a scratch
Ensure that the speaker port is clear. It can become blocked and the result is distorted sound.
Update
Update, after contacting Huawei support. They sent me a prepaid envelope to ship my watch to a third party repair centre SBE Ltd. I sent it off on Thursday and they received it next day Friday. This morning I received a brand new replacement sealed box. I have tested this one out and there is no issues with it. Sound is clear with no distortion.
Seems I'm having the same problem, hardly use the speaker, don't even play it loud when I do and out of the blue the speaker is distorted. Sigh
I have the same issue now with my replacement Huawei watch. Very annoying. It's completely unpredictable when it distorts as sometimes it's fine and other times its distorted. It sounds like someone trying to speak through their nose. Very distorted.
The only thing I can think of is the place I work at is quite dusty as I do warehouse work so maybe the speaker has dust inside

Can anyone get a recording of how does the distortion sounds like? Or maybe comparison "vs phone loudspeaker" or "vs music on watch".
Thank you!

I can't get a recording as I've sent the watch back to the service Centre. The distortion when it occurs is so obvious that you can tell it's a defect with the speaker as even half volume is distorted.
It sounds pretty much like this video:

Same issue, did you find a fix?
Hi, I've been going crazy trying to figure out the same thing. My music volume on my watch is really loud and phone call volume is so low, it sounds like a whisper. This makes no sense! I contact Huawei and they said there is no way to change the volume of the phone call. Maybe it is a bug! I don't know if I should try to get a replacement or just wait it out for a new update to fix the issue. Anyone found a solution??

Post no 7 mentions a similar issue with the Asus zenwatch 2 as what you describe. So check that thread as well. I can't help much as my issue was constant whether it was listening to music or during a phone call.
Also I know if you get water in the speaker opening then the sound will temporarily go quiet but once it's dried then it will return back to normal.

When You are in a call - incoming - there is options on the call screen swiping up. There is Volume and others (dialer, mute, etc...). Try it!
Same problem here. The sound is so low, almost mute and crunchy. I'll contact to huawei for a replacement.
That normally happens when water has gotten in the speaker. I would wait till it's dried out and check again.
Even though the watch is water resistant there is a sort of chamber after the speaker grille that water will sit in before it's evaporated. It happens to me often when washing my hands.
Hi I know this thread is pretty old and I don't want to hijack this thread but I have a question. I want to buy a smart watch that has a good speaker for music. I've got two choices Huawei Watch and Gear s2 3G. Which one should I buy?
My voice sounds like crap on the other end. Garbled and cut up. I hear them just fine.
I do not have the problem on speakerphone.
If i block the top microphone, I sound better on the other end.
I had this exact problem with the last LG device I had, the Nexus 5.
There were several threads about it at the time, but LG and Google never fixed it.
Most people either just taped over it or edited a setting in build.prop to disable the second mic.
Anyone else? I really don't want to have to return it and move on.

You have no issues with your speakerphone? My speakerphone sounds like crap, if the volume is too high it gets the tinny distortion. Sad thing this was also the same of the display in the Verizon store and my friends XL 2 as well. I've made a few calls and so far no complaints.

I'll have to pay attention to that to see. Most of my testing so far has just been leaving voicemails for myself

When making calls with the speaker phone after 50% volume is when you can start hearing the tinny distortion.
Any solution to this ?
Iam having real trouble with mic if i change the angle even a little during call .. other person isnt hearing my voice
If i cover the top microphone .. its fine..
It is very agressive voice cancellation ..
How to switch it off ?
