How can I use external mic on my galaxy M51? - Samsung Galaxy M51 Questions & Answers

Hi guys ,
I've Samsung Galaxy M51 and when I've tried to use my external Mic Boya M1 I found out that it doesn't work on it !!
so is there anyone got the same problem ? and is there any way to solve it ?
Which voice recording app I can use and recommend it to me ??
please help me as soon as possible coz I already need using it on my works and pleaseeeee
my regards
Alnagar

I have the same problem when trying to use a external microphone (an AndyCine M1 Pro) on a Samsung S22 (android 13) via a JSAUX USB C adapter. This phone does not have an earphone 3.5mm socket so a USB to 3.5mm adapter is needed. I found that if I use a headset which combines earphone and microphone the microphone in the headset is recognised. It may help if you could give more details of your set up and android version - and whether you can replicate what I have found when using a headset. Maybe the M1 3.5mm socket is only for earphones?

[Q] Line out question

Hi,
i was wondering - is it possible to make a circuit loop on headset with mic so any audio signal that is coming from line out via minijack will return by microphone ? I want to record audio from game / and / or / to connect external mic to my htc desire by disassembling my current headset and connecting another mic in place of the old one.
Will this work ?
I'm quite technical with AV, IT and android and I still haven't got a clue what you are asking. Can you rephrase the question please?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
We have a minijack 3.55mm with sound output where are 3 signals, A. left and B. right (for stereo sound output), and third for input C. mic.
What i want to do is make from microphone C an line-in slot so i can connect for example external microphone.
Another thing , i need to record "what you hear" from android without loosing quality ( i know i can record from mic ).
So : connect A or B to C
but the voltage right now is to high, i've found this article :
epanorama.net/circuits/line_to_mic.html
will this work ?

Looking for a headset for android

Hey,
i need something to get an external microphone working. Any one got an idea? Bluetooth headset, USB headset, ...
Have an A501 with android 3.2.1 ( Alexandra III ROM )
any one have some experience with this problem ?
best regards
I'm actually looking for something similar. Trying to find a earpeice + Microphone that is not bluetooth (tired of all the "great recpetion" claims) and I'd like it to be over the ear. Something like a gaming headset but with the ability to plug into a Micro USB port to be used on my Android phone.

[Q] HTC One X USB OTG audio not working on CM 10.2

Can somebody please tell me what's wrong with USB audio out on this phone? It used to work on stock ROMs. I have a USB OTG cable connected to FiiO E17 (USB DAC), but the sound still comes out from the phone speaker. I have installed ALSA, and checked alsa_aplay -l in Terminal, the phone cannot recognize the DAC, but it works when I use the app "USB audio recorder pro". Are there some drivers missing in CM10.2 (Android 4.3.1)?

Turns out to be a bug in CM. You have to pay $10 to buy USB audio palyer pro to get it work. Upside is that this app can handle Hi-res up to 24bit 192khz.

Is there a way i can route audio through usb type c?

Hello guys,
I just brought type c audio adaptor for my zuk z2 and when i connect my mi in ear headphones pro to it, It doesn't work, The audio still comes through speakers, it shows some power supply is connected, but can't change it or click it,
So my question is, Is there a way i can route audio through usb type c? Cause i have seen type c earphones working on zuk z2 and is it something related to DAC? I tried enabling "route audio through usb" from developers options, but still no luck and my rom is crdroid, so any workaround?
Thanks in advance

If you are using custom ROM, then visit developer options in about phone.
Look for USB Audio routing and enable it.
Something similar to this must be available on stock ROM as well as custom ROMs.

There is an option to disable it but not enable it did that, i also did "select usb configuration" to audio, but i think it may work in some other rom or any mods??? But currently it show me something is connected but won't let me change it so i am positive it should work with some tweaks as it detects it but sound still comes through speakers
Thanks for the help anyway ?
I've been doing some searching around about this as well and I've come to the conclusion that I think it is actually something at a hardware level. You see, for audio over usb-c to work, the manufacturer has to decide to allow for the audio pins to be routed the the USB-C port instead of a headphone jack. Now most modern phones seem to support this but the Z2 with its headphone jack seems to not be wired to allow for letting audio be routed to the USB-C port which is why plugging in one of these straight through USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack converters doesn't actually do anything.
It's a shame since the headphone jack on my Z2 just died and because I can't use an adapter to run my audio through type-c I'm having to buy myself an entirely new phone just so I can have a working headphone jack. Oh well
Hey guys, I know I am 3 years late, if anyone still has this question it IS POSSIBLE to get audio through the usb port, you will need an OTG cable and a usb DAC (not an expensive one, the small ones for pc that take almost no space should work), connect your headphones to the DAC and to the OTG cable and you are done!

Lavalier Microphone with Note 10+

Hello there,
recently I've been trying to get an external mic to work with my note 10+ (LTE) but until now I don't know where is the issue not to let the external mic working. here are the tools I've bought till now:
1- Type C to 3.5mm (Apple) doesn't work for DAC purpose
2- Type C to 3.5mm (with DAC support) this works perfect with my bose headphone, sound clear with music
3- Boya 3.5mm mic (with connection of Type C to 3.5mm with DAC) doesn't work
4- Boya Type C mic (doesn't work)
5- Splitter (3.5mm to "Audio and mic")
all of the above tried multiple apps to let them work, nothing at all works for me. microphone keep recording from internal mic and not reading external mic at all.
what I'm doing wrong here, is my connection, or I'm misusing the tools. any advise?
Thanks in advance.
Bump:crying:
Am also interested in this. Any one with some info please ?
