Yes! Finally! @sasafat thank you very much for your developement/porting of this ROM to Dipper
You don't know how much I anticipated for something like this, a dream becomes true, this ROM will make our phones longer usable, Android 12 with MIUI 13 - really a dream which becomes true.
Have to try it, I think, that I will flash it in the next week, if you want to, I would really like to help you out, for testing and all the other things, which are needed for further development - I don't know everything, but I'm a techie since 2007 so maybe I can help - just write a message or quote me here

Face unlock and double tap to wake screen while aod is enabled doesn't work for me. Did clean flash 2 times with no success. Any suggestions?

If you don't have the option for face unlock you must change region (France work)
For double tap you need ngk app and put the setting here

No success with face unlock no matter which region I try. Think I'll wait for MIUIsr 14 on a13 maybe have more success then. Thx for replying!

For face unlock, you need to select the france region. Thank you.

I did set it to France but really no success. But I really appreciate your work and keeping our great device with new miui. Hope we will get new updates with passing safety net and all other stuff working if possible. Because this device is still one of the best. Thank you!

first, I like to thank you for this great port. I never expected MIUI13 on Mi8 so I used Pixelexperience since two years.
Your port run much smoother and the trick with "choose france for face-id" works very well too.
I only have one problem with GPS accuracy (as you mentioned). Can you fix this, because it works only partitially or do you focus on Android 13 and GPS ist out of scope?

We have tried many things for GPS, and we can't properly fix it, we will try to fix it for miui 14 android 13 (and fix NFC too)
As you know porting roms isn't easy, and it's already a miracle we are able to run miui 13 on android 12

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I know you did some kind of kagic with A12 on Mi8 Dipper and apprechiate that very much! Google Maps and Adidas Running recognizes the resent position correctly but cant move/navigate. Maybe a hint for further investigations ? Let me know if you need testers.
I'm very happy with your port because it's the only one where waking-up the display works reliable: incomming call, ringing alarm clock, lift from table, double tap Screen, face id.

Great work. Thank you very much, for porting it into global rom. The only minor bug I've noticed so far is, when you hit up further settings - headphones you get a fc.

Does the bluetooth work well with phone calls?
I think all of the third-party ROMs have this problem that you cannot make phone calls through bluetooth earphones.

Yeah it works fine for a some time. But it stops working like on mokee or rr. You have to switch it off an on again to make it work again.

WHat about GAAPS? Is this a chinese ROM or an international one? Will there be OTA updates or do I have to reinstal everytime?

About ota i'm not sure, but 99% they are disabled

Hi there.
I install this ROM and bluethooth works at frist but with time it stops working and wifi sometimes is slow...
But besides that the ROM is very smooth and fast...

thank you very much best rom ever I used for my z17.. better than all available rom all working perfect except little low brighting, even with patch..

make Wipe Data, Cache & Dalvik ,if u flash it on non nubia rom wipe system too and factory rest may help

Running this buld of this ROM since yesterday. So far so good.
Looks like the best ROM so far to me. And to be clear I do not want to be unthankful to the other ROM providers like arceoxis for example.
German language is handled fine so far!

Any chance in the future we will get some sort of desktop like EMUI desktop for custom roms?

EMUI's desktop is literally the only thing stopping me from flashing OmniROM, really hope someone can port it or bring something close to it to custom ROMs

Unfortunatly this is a rom specific feature - which won't be available until some project like lineage decides to do something similar, however you should be able to mirror your screen through wifi or hdmi - did i mention the new builds (b5 los, b2 rros) includes free form window support?

Free form window is a nice addition! I must have missed that in the change logs, it's hard to decide between each ROM all seem perfect at this point, awesome job too btw without you guys I probably wouldn't have even bought my Mate 10 Pro

I found the quality to be about the same, but no where near as stable. The AI scene selection doesnt work.
It crashed on me a few times during a video record and I missed an important moment.

we'll try to improve the app stability in the future.
But for now the emui camera app is only meant for basic picture taking close to stock camera quality snaps.

I'm using OmniRom Beta 2 and it's bloody fantastic, just about everything functions as expected and it's quick as hell. My device won't enter deep sleep though, any ideas?

ill switch when emui camera is fully functional as I use it alot !! meaning no refreshing while switching modes full Bokeh effects, portrait mode ect...

So based on how project treble works, I assume emui 9.0 will be needed to port any Pie .roms?

Can I check with you that your password can be used for your Mate 10? As I understood that Mate 10 Unlocking password expires on 23th July 2018!!!!
I got mine before the expiration date but I have forgotten it totally ....! Until now, I might consider Openkirin custom roms!

If you requested the unlock code before they closed the request page then your code is good, the unlock codes don't expire it's the site that expired as in there's no way to request it off Huawei themselves anymore

Running RROS and the IR blaster doesn't seem to work. Is this an issue specific to this ROM? Does it work on LOS? Thanks!

With the announcement of ParanoidAndroids Oreo ROM (currently only for Sony devices), is there any possibility of us getting it on our Mate 10 Pros or is it too early to tell at the moment?, I know you guys had super stable PA ROMs for earlier devices such as the P9 & P8 Lite :good:

First, this not a MIUI 11, because MiRoom build before MIUI 1 version, this just a MiRoom 11 Android 9
Fingeprint fix : can't fix because this not build by Phhusson's source, this Rom build from ErfanGSI tool so OEM Rom will error if using OEM Rom with other device
SIM Card : CronosKernel and Kraken RC9 just support Rom based Pixel Experience, AOSP so MiRoom can't using kernel to fix SIM Card

Edit: Yeah, works fine for now at least. Made a full backup before.

It is indeed a known problem that Offline Charging isn't available, once the developer of the LineageOS ROM finds time to implement this, I will most certainly include it in this and other ROMs too.

Mind someone giving some help on root and magisk please? Last time I rooted was 5 years ago
Basically, I rooted on stock and I have had magisk working. How do I get magisk with hopefully the security working (with the proper config and patches). If you have everything setup you just need to flash the proper .img to your boot partition.
That's it.
You need beyond2LTE.
Don't use magisk patching, I tried to update it through that and after my phone didn't boot. Fixed that with the .img in the link.

the trick is not to long press the fingerprint
Aslo, I've read through the telegram channel that actually one should setup using the CLI - but only if it's not working (telegram of Ivan Maler - lineagOS 18.1 dev).... There are a lot of helpful hints there btw.
ok, are there some culprits as to when is magisk working after reboot? seems I have lost root in along the way.

Can anyone else confirm whether the Bixby button works or not? And also, is there a setting somewhere (or a workaround) to force some apps and games to utilize the full screen including the notch area as in stock One UI? (I heard that there was a setting for this in Developer's Options, but haven't been able to find anything so far)
PS. Solid ROM BTW, updated from Pixel Experience Beta. Been using that one as my daily driver since January, and now updated to this one.

How do I get GPay to work? Do I need Magisk for it?

I think you mean the display cutout settings. I don't think they work to do that though. I think there is no way to force full screen unless you use Samsung ROMs. It's up to the app developers to do it themselves.

does anyone have problems booting and rebooting the phone? Basicaly mine is stuck with a black screen. The only way I can get SOME signs of life is to boot it using the volume-downd + powerkey combination and then volume-up, bixby and power to get to twrp bootloader. From there I select reboot to system but nothing happens.
I thought that the reboot was somewhat klunky with magisk but I really didn't learn the trick yet. I appreciate any advice.

First things first: Thanks for your work.
Everything is working fine but its too much beta to test it as a daily driver.
What i have to say is, i like the new ui overall BUT the OOS11 UI is so much cleaner an i prefer it over any other ui.
-On first boot the numbers to enter my sim code where to big and i couldnt reach the enter key, a reboot fixed it.
No playstore preinstalled.
-Root is working fine
-USB debugging, pc connection has some problems
-Overall it feels good
-It looks and feels clean but i prefer oos look and feel
-Fingerprint animation is awesome
Going back to OOS11 in 10 minutes, you might have some questions first?

Yeah thanks didnt saw the number there.
Didnt checked safetynet but gpay was working fine. Fingerprint was working as good as in oos11.

Chance more than colorOS 11. Open beta will staring Q1'22.

I'm currently on OOS 11.0.9.9 and directly flashed the CBT through local upgrade. Everything is working fine except fingerprint. All my apps are retained no issues like data loss, no chinese bloatware.

Did you backuped your persist before flashing? If you didn't do it, I have bad news for you, you will have great difficulty in restoring it! Try to load backup.

Same problem here. I have the persist.img backed up from OOS but replacing data and engineermode folders didn't seem to help

The region are Chinese,, ( on settings, or Europe ?).
