General Android 12 (non-beta) available for my T810S - TCL 20 Pro 5G

On Friday I received a notification on my phone that an update was available for my T810S that I'm running in the USA on Cricket!

So, it's finally available!
Anyways, I just finished up backing up the images and other things from my phone, and am going to try installing it tonight.
My 64GB SD card has been full for some time, and I was saving stuff to the internal phone memory, which I don't like to do. But, I got everything copied to my PC, my RAID server and my backup drive, so I'm going to clean the items from my phone and do the update.
I sure hope that this fixes the notification issues.

Alright, I was able to successfully install the Android 12 update!
I really like the upgraded looks of the user interface changes, and it showed me a nice little tour of the Android 12 features. The extended screenshot capability feature could be really useful.
I'll give an update in a few days to let you know how it's working.
Here are the screenshots.
After clicking the install button it started showing a slow percentage increase, so I left it alone for half an hour while I did other stuff. When I came back, it was showing this.
After the update, it showed this:
Here's the About Phone screen, showing that I'm now running Android 12.

Just a quick update to let you all know that everything has been working well for my TCL 20 Pro 5G (T810S) since I installed the Android 12 update. I actually get notifications from all of my applications, and battery life doesn't seem to be any different than when I was on Android 11. Having notifications from all apps again is a real game changer for me!
I uninstalled and reinstalled some of the applications that I had previously manually tweaked the power settings on.
The only oddity that I noticed, is that if I have JBV1 auto-start with Android Auto (like I've always had), it locks up Waze and freezes Android Auto! I need to look into why that is happening, but for now I just disabled the auto-start functionality of JBV1.

A few suggestion for Windows Phone 7 navigation

Since Microsoft first released Windows Phone 7, I convinced my self to "NOT BUY" the very first release because I know and I think most of us knows that a few months or weeks, an improved version will be available.. Well probably upgrading a ROM is the answer but anyway, my few suggestions to improve some navigations.
A like to suggest in horizontal panning effect which I think is a very nice and beautiful. But to improve the navigation, here are some my suggestion.

Ok. So another one would be, in Application List navigation.
also posted in my blog site

To be honest, those are nice concepts. I can easily see the Application list getting changed to allow grid support. Can't say much about the other.
FYI Windows Phone 7 is going to be very easy to update. It has a real updater unlike Windows Mobile. You wont have to flash a rom and wipe out all your apps and settings to get OS updates anymore. At least thats what Microsoft is claiming.

the question is, will it be "free" ? which I don't believe it will.
and if not .. well most of us I think will still swim around this kind of site for free upgrade, patched ROMs that we will still injecting in our phone's vains
EDIT:
-- ok, so hopefully it will be free like Windows OS
another suggestion would be
Bing search results.
Will it be nice to search inside your phone too such as Contacts, Applications, Calendar, and files? here's the preview.

Microsoft employee details Tango update process

Today, I received 3 new updates for my HTC Mozart Windows Phone. The latest version number is 7.10.8779.8. My current version was 7.10.8107.
The first update I received was 7.10.8112.7. It was a small update took few seconds to download. One new enhancement is that instead of forcing the phone data backup it given me an option to apply the update without taking backup (a checkbox provided) which was brilliant as it saved lot of time.

To my surprises after the previous update I saw another Windows Update screen. This time the update version was 7.10.8773.98 from 7.10.8112.7. This update took almost 5 minutes on my broadband connection.
I got surprised again when I saw the 3rd update in a row. And this time the update was smaller as it took about 10-20 seconds to download & its version number is 7.10.8779.8.
So this way I received 3 updates in 1 row. At this point I could not find any new feature as such except minor performance improvement while launching applications. I will share my experience if I explore anything new.
THE END.

How can you be so sure that its Tango and not just some minor update for that device??
7.10.8112.7 is an OS number not a Firmware revision number

The blog shows an OS version number that would be consistent with a general update. On devices if a device specific firmware update happens the number looks totally different... in my short experience. Never heard of the blog though so it still could be bogus.
I'm connected to Zune as I type this and I'm not getting any updates. Doesn't necessarily mean anything. MSFT has been known to roll out updates sequentially around the country and the world. Happens all the time on Xbox 360.

Google + is eating all my battery since 4.2.1 update...

Hey just thought I'd post this here and see if anyone else is having similar problems. I updated to the latest firmware a few weeks ago and ever since then my phone is dead after only 6ish hours with pretty average use in between. My battery stats are pointing towards the Google plus app as being the culprit so I force close it but it obviously keeps restarting.
Before the update I was able to go over a day before it would go completely flat.
Here's a screen grab of my battery stats, anyone have any ideas on what I can do to sort this out?

Oh and I forgot to mention, the phone is completely stock unrooted, locked boot loader etc.
Cheers.
Maybe try and uninstall updates to Google+ and reinstall. I had a problem after updating to 4.2.1 where Google+ kept syncing and it was solved this way.
Edit: Forgot to mention, my phone is stock with unlocked bootloader.
Cheers, I'll give that a go and see how it works out.
I just took my phone off the charger not long ago. Will post another screenshot when it's been on battery for a while, should give you a better idea of reasonable ratios.
Worst comes to worst, wipe everything (including SD) and start over. You could have some spooky ghost files and some cobwebs all up in your GNex!
My 4.2 Experience
i have been trying several 4.2 roms and with all of them i was getting the worst battery and also a very strange bug or at least i think it was a bug :silly: since i was using my phone normally and then all of the sudden the screen goes black but the phone still funtional it wasnt a SOD for example i was playing a game and then boom black and the sound vibration and everything all was keep on working i the end i decided to go back to CNA
Took another screenshot. I haven't used my phone so much today, but what you're seeing, OP, is definitely not normal.
I uninstalled Extended Controls. Battery stats for the app was ridiculous if the system app showed correctly. If I'm lucky I'll notice improved battery life now

Massive wakelock from multiple apps (*alarm*)

Hey there, I wanted to show a new kind of battery drain that is happening to my 5X since two weeks every now and then (about 3 or 4 days).
(Nexus 5X with the latest PureNexus 6.0.1 on ElementalX kernel with HawkTail settings)
Apparently at some point, applications like Play Services, MoneyLover, Whatsapp, Tasker, App Google, Weather Timeline, Office Suite, Phone, Google Opnion Rewards, Zooper Widget start keeping alive the device with wakelocks called *alarm* or wake:[service for sync of the app] draining in an insane manner the battery (the first processor of the LITTLE chip is always at max speed).
The really odd thing is this Bluetooth graph in BetterBatteryStats:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Apparently, even if it's off, the bluetooth keep switching on and off. But the thing is that in every wakelock app I cannot find anything anormal related to the bluetooth (of course, it's off) which led me to think that maybe the graph is measuring something else.
Someone could say that it's fault of some app or even of the Play Services, but I tested even with every Google sync service disabled and nothing changed: the drain continued.
Looks like something the cause is really something system-wide because it's causing A LOT of apps misbehaving in this peculiar way.
I tried using the Battey Historian Tool, but I didn't manage to extrapolate useful information. The misbehaviour seems to stop after a reboot and after it recharged completely. Even disabling wifi and data gave no effect.
Here some screenshots of stats:
In summary, I could really use an hand in diagnosing what the hell is happening here because I am not understanding anything and I saw my fair share of wakelock problems, but nothing like this one. I'd like to undestand something before trying a factory reset.

Need help - pop up on screen, and what rom is on my device?

Hope this is the correct spot for this... I loaded a new rom on my old Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII a couple years back (not sure which rom now) but I kept getting the popup shown in the image, finally got frustrated and pretty forgot about the device.

Found the device again this week and I'm now wanting to use it in my office mainly for streaming music to a bt speaker. However I'm wondering 2 things - first is there a way to get rid of this pop up on this particular rom?
And #2 any suggestions on what rom I should be using on this device to use it as a media streamer? Will need bt access and wifi, camera would be nice as well as use of the microSD slot... suggestions welcome!

Looks like the stock ROM, definitely a TouchWiz based ROM. That message on screen could be one of the settings in developer options. USB notification in status bar too. Look for settings about showing stats, turn them off.
ROMs, for media streaming, stock is fine. Just a little outdated. Lineage is on nougat 7.1.2 now. Everything works fine on it. Octos is on nougat as well. Both have currently maintained ROMs for Sprint S3.
This is because your efs got wiped or modified
I think that this is because your efs partition got modified or wiped during installation or something, you can fix that using EFS Professional.
You can go here and find out how :
