Does anyone know how to bypass Google Pay root detection? I'm using universal safetynet fix by kdrag0n and the default Magisk denylist but I keep getting detected by Google Play Services. My device does meet basic integrity check but not device level or strong integrity check either. Can somebody help me with this
I have added GMS, Play Store and Wallet to DenyList
Device: Google Pixel 6 Pro
Have added playstore and google play services to the denylist?

Have you re-root the device?
Program launches with no issues for me.
* Installed SNF 2.4.0 (same module you had installed earlier).
* Make sure you expand the program in the Zgyist list and choose all parts of it.
* Force close the Google Play Apps (Store, Services, etc.) and clear the Cache.
* Reboot phone

Try adding google wallet to the deny list.
btw - a device with an unlocked bootloader will never pass strong integrity.
edit - i see you've already added wallet.

Let's start here. How are you testing SafetyNet? I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rikka.safetynetchecker.
***EDIT***
Forgot to mention, make sure after you enable them in the Deny List, force stop any Google Play apps, clear cache on each one and reboot. Not all of those steps are necessary, but it covers the bases.

Cleared all Google apps. I'm testing SN by using the Play Integrity API Checker. In order for GPay to pass your device has to MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY, which I'm not able to pass. I know I'm not using SafetyNet because Google has deprecated the SafetyNet so it's impossible for me to pass without it saying that it's out-of-date
So just checked today and YES, I am able to pass DEVICE_INTEGRITY and Google Wallet is working! Turns out you need it to let it cook after resetting data and then you're good to go

You cannot pass strong integrity at all. Fortunately strong integrity at this time is not required for Google Pay.

I've had this problem before with my Nexus 6P, and I can't seem to solve it on my Pixel XL. The apps I have that use Google Maps do not show the base map layer. For example, in Accuweather Premium, I can see the storm clouds on the map, but the streets, cities, rivers and lakes aren't there. Instead of overlaying the radar on top of the map, I see the radar displayed on a grid, like this:
{

I have the same problem with other apps such as GasBuddy, RedBox, etc that use Google Maps. I also use RadarNow, which uses its own map base, and it displays the map just fine. When I open Google Maps, everything displays just fine.
I have tried multiple factory data resets to correct this, but I can't get it to work at all. I am stock, unlocked via dePixel8, and unrooted.
Any suggesions?

Last time this happened to me, I reflashed the stock firmware and that fixed it.
You could also try uninstalling Google maps/wipe its data.
Reboot.
Then reinstall Google maps.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried wiping cache/data and uninstalling Maps, but it never hurts to try again. I'll also uninstall all the offending apps, and try reinstalling them again.
I wonder if I signed up for 7.1.2 beta, then unenrolled back to 7.1.1 if it might shock my Pixel back into cooperating. Not quite the same as reflashing stock firmware, but it might do the trick.

That I have done. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I am usually pretty selective on granting permissions, especially Location. But it has been granted for all the affected apps.
I even went into my Google account and re-enabled Location History, to see if that helped. I also tried downloading local maps in Google Maps for offline use. That didn't help either.
You can flash the stock image on top of your current image without losing any setup apps/data.
Just remove the -w from the script.
You'll have to update all the old Google Apps again, but the data should still be there.
It is something easy to try.
My guide will walk you through the process.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/how-to/info-how-restored-to-stock-soft-t3494478
Remember to remove the -w from the script though!
Or download the -w modded script I added to my thread.
Thanks, Eddie. Well-written guide and easy to follow. I'm waiting for Google apps to update.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Well, no luck with that. I use the -w modded script and everything went smoothly. However, I am getting the same blank grid where the maps should be.
I think I will try it again without the -w modded script to wipe my data and set it up as a new device. It can't hurt, I've already got everything backed up.

If you deal with it as-is for a few more days, then you can flash the March updates.
The new image should be released early next week and I'll be updating the how-to thread with that new image.

You might also try wiping maps data and uninstalling again, then try the Beta maps?

I'm not sure if it's the OG Google maps which is always referred to as beta, or a beta of the Beta Maps. lol
Either way, it's something easy to try.

Given that you have noted that you are cautious about permissions is there any possibility that some other filtering or firewall settings on your device or network is causing things to not work? Just trying to consider other possibilities and am thinking that just because Google Maps works doesn't necessarily mean that other apps that reference Maps services do so in exactly the same way.

Yeah, it has me puzzled. On a whim, I tried a full data reset AGAIN yesterday, and logged in with a new Google account. I gave full permissions to any and all requests. Still no luck.
Hopefully 7.1.2 will trigger something for me. I am tempted to enroll in the Beta program again just to give it a shot, but I'll see what the March update brings us.
any fix on this? I'm having this issue on myradar
I'm on 7.1.2 DP2, and still no fix. I have clean flashed stock 7.1.1 multiple times before I took the 7.1.2 DP2 OTA.
Everything was working fine before I dePixel8ed. I don't know if that is related at all, but it's one of my few remaining avenues to explore.
I know this thread is kinda old; sorry about that, but I have this same problem not just with the Pixel XL but also the new Samsung 8+ both of these phones are stock unrooted and holding the latest version 7 of android
I am too seeing no map data for some apps like GasBuddy but Google Maps themselves work so I thought it was bizzare but then again you never know if Google is playing nice? Maybe this is on Google's end and not allowing those apps to use their map API?
What good are the apps if you can't use the map?
Hi all/ @MastahF / @ians325 / @ggow @Vlasp / @MetaIIica / @guyHalestorm / @inwisso / @elliwigy / @peleg / @Lochy19 ,
I have been spending many hours trying to get the Play Store to work by installing the most recent release of OpenGApps on my rooted FireTV 1 OS5 (Unlocked bootloader) without success. I tried both the "Pico" version as well as the "TVStock" version, and every time I try to open the Google Play Store I get the error "This version of the app isn't compatible with your device. To fix this problem, go to Settings and uninstall updates for the Google Play Store app". I also tried various versions of the Play Store vending APK and gms/gsf/gsf.login APKs without success. I have not installed Xposed framework and the HDXposed plugin. Changing values in build.prop did not make a difference.
I was under the impression that the OpenGApps package was designed to overcome these checks and work out of the box but I am not sure if that is correct.
Can you please help me to get the Play Store working on this device? I have spent quite a few hours and cannot get it to work. Preferably, I would like to keep the installations as minimal as possible and from reliable sources to keep it simple and safe.
Many thanks!

Hi Peleg,
Many thanks for your reply. From what I gather, the only way to get the Play Store functioning properly involves having to install Xposed Framework. I was trying not to do that for security purposes, but I might just have to. To confirm, Xinstaller and HDXposed are both open-source right?
Thanks

@peleg, I did as you said and installed the Xposed framework along with XInstaller and HDXPosed for good measure, and after enabling the options you had sent in your screenshot, I still get the following error when launching the Play Store: "This version of the app isn't compatible with your device. To fix this problem, go to Settings and uninstall updates for the Google Play Store app".
Is there anything that I can do to fix this last issue? I really want to get this thing up and running. I also checked and the Play Store is located within the Phonesky directory and called Phonesky.apk rather than vending, etc.
Thanks.

I think that you're using the version for tablets/phones, I also had that problem and was corrected with the installation of the Android TV version (Google Play Store (Android TV) 7.5.08), you can find it on apkmirror website, also remember to install the google play service (Google Play services (Android TV) 10.2.98) from the same website, best regards.

Check this thread over. Seems they where able to figure things out for the FTV2. Which should easily work on the FTV1. You just need to get the ARM files instead of the ARM64 version of files. Maybe someone can post the completed ARM versions.
If I ever get around to trying it out I will probably share mine. But not sure when that will be. If you get things going on your FTV1 before then. Don't forget to share yours.

Thanks for replying. I finally got it to work for the most part, but I don't know what exactly did the trick. In the end, installing Play Store 4.6.1.7 worked for me in combination with the build.prop tweaks, Xposed w/ Xposed modules, etc. All in all it was a PIA and should not be so complicated IMHO..
Now when I do a search most apps do not appear as if my device is incompatible with them even though my build.prop is all changed for a Samsung mobile handset, and the "My Apps" is empty which is also annoying and means I have to find the app somehow to update it. Lastly, even if I do find the app, many times I cannot click on it no matter which way I move the remote control arrows - very irritating. Let me know if you have any solutions to these last problems. I think the "Mouse Toggle" app solves the inability to click on things, but I don't know about the other two issues...
Thanks.

The mod I linked to uses an Android TV PlayStore. So you should be able to just use your remote to navigate it. Not sure if XPosed is a must or not on it. But that might be another Plus on that option. Not sure.. XPosed & HDXPosed are still required. It just changes the PlayStore package that is installed from regular to Android TV which is better for FireTV's.
Has anyone been able to successfully use Pokémon Go/Pikmin Bloom since the removal of MagiskHide? I've tried Xposed Modules, Riru modules, and a handful of other things to try and get them to work. I've also tried Google searching for countless hours on other possible ways to get it to work with no luck.

I don't play it but I installed to see if i could replicate your problem but it worked for me. You shouldn't need any modules to get it to work. Test safetynet to make sure you're passing and review the modules you've installed if safetynet is tripping.

Just use magisk 23.0 it works fine even with ob1. As ive said before. And riru dont work with zygisk. At least not now
SafetyNet isn't passing for me. At all. Latest magisk Alpha (Chinese). This is what I'm using currently with Magisk.
Also, this is what I get when I run YASNC. T-Mobile 9 Pro, converted to international, running OB1. Never had this issue before MagiskHide was removed.

Hit 1, follow prompts to select fingerprint (just use the 9 pro's, even if the module says you already are), reboot and presto.
Has anyone else seen this? I rooted 6 pro with Canary Magisk. Went well. I'm able to manually install .zip modules.
The issue is the standard list of modules available through Magisk do not show up.
Rebooted of course, made sure everything is updated, no go.

I don't believe the beta version of magisk, or at least the one we're using for this phone, has the download modules available at all. You have to install modules manually via .zip file.
Fox's Magisk Module Manager has them.
Thank you for the replies guys.
I'm sure this info will be helpful for everyone else wondering what's going on.
I can't seem to find that app.

FYI - if you're looking to pass SafetyNet, you're going to need to pay a minimum of $5.99 for the USNF-2.2.0 file. See https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...6-pro-android-12.4354149/page-7#post-85871889
I can confirm it does work. However, if you're running Adaway as root, it breaks Amazon and banking apps (Wells Fargo I can personally attest to).
EDIT: I have no idea why having Adaway running as root breaks those but everything I tinkered with didn't work until I disabled this. Even with YASNAC showing I passed attestation with it running.
EDIT2: Proof:

Not sure if you already figured it out, but add this whitelist in AdAway to fix amazon. I am not sure why wells fargo would break because of AdAway, but if you can find the right thing to whitelist, then you can fix it probably.

Amazon app works with AdAway if you turn off the "Local web server" (AdAway Settings > Root based ad blocker > Local web server > Uncheck Enable web server"

I can say that you cannot log into Amazon when AdAway is active. Deactivate AdAway, clear app data from Amazon app, open Amazon app and log in. Reactivate AdAway and all is good. I learned this trick a few years ago.

If your using adaway whitelist amazon with *amazon*
that should do it for amazon.
Everyone responding about Amazon - I know. I tried all of that too. I noticed, however, once I reboot my phone and see the toast from Magisk about AdAway getting root permission, both Amazon and Wells Fargo report errors.
I have Adaway and no issues with Amazon.
Disabled web server in AdAway and Amazon worked. Also, USNF 2.2 allowed me to sign into Wells Fargo and Yahoo.

Not true.......I can pass safety net and use GPay and didn't pay the $6 for that version of USNF. I just followed the simple instructions that were posted here and they worked.

This is not true if you turn off the internal web server. I am logged in. The whitelist option also works.

Has anyone else seen this? I rooted 6 pro with Canary Magisk. Went well. I'm able to manually install .zip modules.
The issue is the standard list of modules available through Magisk do not show up.
Rebooted of course, made sure everything is updated, no go.
Anyone seen this or have a fix?

Google Pay stopped working, even tho I pass SafetyNet.
My Poco F3 is on Stock ROM, unlocked + rooted with Magisk. Zygisk is enabled and I've the Magisk Module "SafetyNet-Fix".
I cleared data of Google, Play Store, Play Services, Services Framework.
Rebooted several times. Nothing!
I updated from MIUI 13.0.6 -> 13.0.7, does this have anything to do with that?
Please help lol.
I won't lock my Bootloader, Google be damned!
Edit: Play Store shows my device as Certified, but doesn't show Netflix. Netflix is shown as "Incompatible with your device".

I have the same exact problem, but using custom rom without root. I assume google changed something on their end along with introducing google wallet.

Does your SafetyNet Pass as well?
I have a feeling that Google don't allow "Basic" Attestation anymore, but only "Hardware-backed" now... whatever that means. 🫥

Yes, it passes. Maybe they just started checking for unlocked bootloader? By the way, do you have the beta version of google play services installed?

But doesn't SafetyNet already check for an Unlocked BL ? I had to make SafetyNet Pass by using Magisk + Zygisk + "SafetyNet-Fix"
Yes I use the Beta of Google Play Services! Does that cause a problem?

I assume. It started to happen after updating to version 22.26.57 - maybe the "feature" got introduced there? I have a friend with same phone and rom but without beta services, and gpay still works for him.
For me google wallet works good on xiaomi.eu magisk with zygisk + universal safetynetfix + shamiko, but I also have added google wallet to zygisk deny list.
Google Pay has become Google Wallet, might to do with that?
Try to add Google wallet to denylist, mine is not complaining so far on ArrowOS and Magisk 25.2 with Universal safetynet fix.
@DivintyQQ @unxcepted
I tried leaving the Beta of Play Services and uninstalling its' updates,
adding Google Wallet to Zygisk Blacklist,
adding "Shamiko" to Magisk..
clearing all data again and rebooting 10 times...
Nothing. Nothing worked.

I really hope you figure it out, dude, Google Pay/Wallet is one of those “cant live without” apps :-(
Também estou tendo um problema com gpay usando LOS. o que é magisk e como instalar?
Mod Edit: English Translation Below
I'm also having a problem with gpay using LOS. what is magisk and how to install?
Don't have safetynet or bootloader root issues even without using shamiko, but mine is stuck on loading never ending 'checking for updates' screen. Can still use paypass and eftpos but cannot add or edit cards or do anything else. Even after the change to "wallet" recently.
For anyone having issues with safetynet on LOS, there is ih8sn which doesn't require root:

thank you so much! I'm new to all of this. Any tutorial on how to do this?
@cyanGalaxy There is a fix, basically you need to spoof your device fingerprint to Adnroid 10.

I have the same problem.
Google Pay has been renamed to Google Wallet and after updating this app it tells me when I launch that I can't pay with my mobile because my device is rooted.
Of course, I allowed in deny list Google Wallet in Magisk, but still the same message. Does anyone have any tips on how to break it up again? Thanks.

Turn on your phone and then connect it to your PC then run the .sh script. Maybe you need to enable USB-debugging in developer options I'm not so sure anymore.
No one found a solution?
