Xiaomi Mi A1 Google Camera Port

This will be a dedicated thread for the different Google Camera ports working for the Xiaomi Mi A1 since other threads are not being updated by their OPs and I will try to maintain this one like the OnePlus 6 Google Camera Port thread. These are the most stable GCam ports for our device and I'll be updating this thread each time a new port is available.

Here some sample for comparison,
App: MGC_6.1.013_MiMAX2_V1b_A8.1+
Rom: Stock 8.1
Darker ones are shot with HDR+ enhanced mode and Brighter ones are with Night Mode

Everything is working fine in Arnova8G2 GCam_Pixel3Mod_1_build.6.1.013 except front camera. All the pictures taken with front cam are greenish and blurry. Night sight working like a charm. I'm on LiquidRemix 10.0.1 pie ROM. Here are some samples.

Great thread! Quick question tho, anyone still getting the dot pattern bug when shooting bright blue skies and bright colors? It shows when zooming in photos taken with hdr+

The front camera will be fixed in the next version, i talked to aranova and he will fix it.

The arnova pixel3 version works a bit slow/laggy for me, also no live picture in night mode, although it works/produces the image. BSG version works better, except for the annoying "hexagon" popup.
Side question - which is the best/most stable gcam version with ZSL/motion stills/slomo? I used a pretty old one, I wonder if there was any progress to this day - will try the ones in 1st post tomorrow.
p.s is there any way of having several camera apps installed? Usually it wants to overwrite the current one, although id like to test a few ones parallel.

Did not test this with the BSG mod I installed, but the front camera is green. And it says "hexagon failed" when taking a portrait or night photo but it still seems to work. Could you edit the post and add this? Thanks

All 6.1+ versions still have front cam issues if you'd read previous replies.

The 625 is weak and zsl and other features would be too much for it.
Some launchers can rename apps. App cloners should also be able do it.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there will be GCam port for S10 Lite? I don't think there will be any development for this phone but a gcam port will be great.
And does anybody know if any port works currently with at least the main and front camera. Can you please share the link?

I can't get any of these ports to work with the ultra wide camera.

Same here. Half the things are not working on any port at the moment. I am also waiting for a stable gcam.

For s20 there is an update, gcam 7.3
Is there 7.3 for s10 lite? Perhaps anyone tried 7.3 from s20, does it work in s10 lite?

It is working except night mode. But neither 7.2 night mode was working to me..
I don't know which is better.

Tried the 7.3, there's no so much difference IMHO in comparison with stock camera. Daytime stock is better ; low light can't see great improvement.
Camera quality isn't so bad, of course if you shoot in low light ambient results are far from the Pixel 4 and latest iPhone.

Okay so i stumbled upon a working build. It's latest stable from Arnova. Everything works out of the box(for pics, haven't tested videos yet) with the latest fw for s10 lite. No tweaking needed.

Night mode with astrophotography works and the results are just awesome. Give it a try guys.

You have to find an option to turn on the wide angle, it's in advanced settings.
I'm currently using an Urnyx05 version. I also use a "Lib patcher" where I turned up sharpness a bit.

Installed Urnyx gcam and turned on the ultra wide option but when I click on 0.6x the app crashes and doesn't open.
How did you make it work?

Same here.. Also I'm not sure if there is any improvement vs the original camera. Both looks almost the same to me.

I don't know, I've installed Urnyx's 7.2.010 v2.3 version and it works.
It's slightly better. Samsung app makes everything oversharpened and flat for me.

I've found new version which fits me most.
I was looking for a 6.x version that works on our S10 LIte. For me the 7.x mods are ok, but nothing special.
Gcam 6.x was much smoother.
Finally - I've found Fu24's mod.
It's the "Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.6-Fu24_5Lens-02b6.5-A10.apk" file.
It's full of advanced settings, there are some configs available.
Here you have some samples.
I was using stock config + Pixel 2 XL setting for back camera.
Later I've switched to LGV40 config.

We are gratefull to the developers.
Just I tried it with video on rear camera.
I am not happy with it.
- The image stabilization doesn't working on it.
- There are issues barrel at super wide lens, the default xiaomi camera has a better algorithm (probably) that corrects the barel issue that normally have these lenses.

There is an upload video on youtube about this .apk on Mi 11 Lite.
The version is 8.1.101.345618084 the same like us.
The compared photos seems the good work of GCam.
If you see at the end (07:55) the video image stabilization of GCam is wrong.
I have tried the following, but I have some crashed all the time:

Ultrawide lens not supported, video slow-motion crashes the app, don't know about video stabilization...

Why use the 8.3? Its in beta so a lot of stuff doesnt work. Use MGC 8.1 the latest stable version. You can also use a config to make everything work including slow-mo.

I just installed and it looks like everything except slow-mo works even without a config.

Think you should be able to load this into the app. I got it from the BSG gcam telegram. If you dont like 16:9 you can just change it from the dropdown settings menu quickly.

Actually I'm not able to load it inside the app. I made a folder GCam/Configs8 and put the xml inside - however when I double tap near the cam shutter button, the import dialog doesn't show?
Maybe it's the Gcam version, I downloaded the one from the first post here.

Use THIS link to download the newest version. Download any of the 3 first apk. If it helps I usually use ENG apk but snap also works fine. It should have an option to add custom xml files in the settings. Just point it to the folder where its located (can be anywhere on the phone).

I made a Magisk module of ANX camera for Alioth (Poco F3), based on this zip by @althafvly
Just replaced files in LIB and LIB64 folder with the same lib files from MIUI 13 and fortunately, now we have MIUI camera 12megapixel portrait mode in Android 12.1 custom ROMs Also 1080p 960FPS slow-motion is fixed.
--- You may have portrait mode with the original ANX 204 too, but the final image is less than 2megapixel.
It works in most LOS-based ROMs such as CherishOS, CrDroid, and PixelOS, but doesn't work on SyberiaOS As blinoff82 checked, it's working on SyberiaOS now
Actually, I made this mainly for MIUI's useful portrait mode (GCam only supports human subjects!) and It may has some bugs, for instance:
- Selfie camera is 2.8 megapixels!
- 48mp camera doesn't work

You are right, there not... They are 0.7mpx, but a part from the resolution they look good... But, yes, the res is prety low...

I would love to hear the overall quality and experience.

ANX quality is same as stock MIUI camera,
GCam has its own features, I have both and use each of them in suitable situation

is it possible to remove the miui's over-sharpenning algorithm from miui/ANX camera? i never take photos with stock camera because of this oversharpening thing,

I myself use it with PixelOS and works good, without 48MP

when i record a 4k video, it doesn't save the file. does anyone know a solution for this?

Make sure youre in picture mode then go to settings.
Disable:
-Live tips
-Smart suggestions
-Save location info.
Worked for me on PE 12.1 plus

hello guys..thanks for the camera..slowmotion no work?

Doesn't work on ArrowOS. Launches, but it crashes immediately, won't even show the app's main screen, just the app logo for 2 secs.

Slomo/time lapse broken

For me actually the 1x lens and selfie cam are not working.
Selfie cam is working on video.
In the end i deleted the app again, for me it's far from stable and many lenses/options not working.
Really appreciate your efforts, so with any updates happy to try again!

Photos from main lens are not saving, other lens are working. Any suggestions?

Thank you. Snapdragon S22 here. I tried about 8 gcam mods with no success until I found this one. Sadly, zoom lens doesn't seem to work, but main lens is (as well as wide). Haven't tested wide, but main seems to produce marginally better images than the stock camera app.

However this gcam does the same "trick" as other version for me - a rainbow tingle/effect across the photos. Anybody else also experiencing this, please?
