www.celsoazevedo.com
Config: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CSv9_yrc_3S6CaUsgfJQioau4ZxXjJr-/view?usp=drivesdk
What works:
All Photo modes on all cams
HDR (Default is HDR net, you may change it to hdr+ e)
AWB
Video 4k 60 fps on wide and main cam
What doesn't work: (Advanced Video, which work better on Samsung cam anyway)
8k recording toggle in settings breaks gcam completely
Video with 3x cam
Slomo/time lapse broken
First off all, many thanks for your work!
Great to see someone giving this a shot!
For me actually the 1x lens and selfie cam are not working.
Selfie cam is working on video.
In the end i deleted the app again, for me it's far from stable and many lenses/options not working.
Really appreciate your efforts, so with any updates happy to try again!

Interesting, perhaps some models need different config
This one worked for most other people, I wonder what's different in s901b?
Mostly diff lens IDs (which should be easy to find)
If you want I can help you find the lens IDs for your device and try?
I can try, let me know what to do.
SM-S9010 is Snapdragon version
Omg, some forums said 1090 was Exynos + In Hong Kong they usually sell Exynos
All this time I've been configuring a SD version, nice
That's a shame, you've got me all excited for finally seeing some progress on Gcam for us!

Photos from main lens are not saving, other lens are working. Any suggestions?
Thank you. Snapdragon S22 here. I tried about 8 gcam mods with no success until I found this one. Sadly, zoom lens doesn't seem to work, but main lens is (as well as wide). Haven't tested wide, but main seems to produce marginally better images than the stock camera app.
Thank you for this.
Hey man, first of all, let me thank you for your work!
However this gcam does the same "trick" as other version for me - a rainbow tingle/effect across the photos. Anybody else also experiencing this, please?
Does this version works for the SM-S901E model? (Galaxy S22)

This is a thread to report bugs in @Arnova8G2 google camera port. I'm creating this thread to personally report a bug, anyone else who uses the app and has an issue should feel free to post here as well.
App in question: drive. google.com/open?id=1IEf-BZQdk_SH3WVG3aev05pdiRpVqW68 (I am not allowed to post links yet, apologies.)
When reporting a bug:
Describe the issue
Include a logcat
Mention @Arnova8G2
The main issue I am experiencing is the inability to take burst photos when holding down the shoot button. This feature functions properly in cstark's version. OIS also seems to not be functioning correctly, the viewfinder is shaky unlike stock camera app.
Log: hastebin .com/ezerufuduj.xml
Device Info: hastebin .com/uzamasocuw.http
I found a VERY strange solution to this. It turns out switching to the video mode, and back to the photo mode makes OIS work properly. It's worth noting I have added these lines in the build.prop to enable EIS in video, so even though I don't think they're necessary for OIS, if this method doesn't work for you then they're worth a shot:
persist.camera.eis.enable=1
persist.camera.is_type=5
persist.camera.is_mode=5
I don't think the 2nd and 3rd one do anything but they're worth mentioning I suppose.
Full stock here, no root, and I find the same issue with OIS. Though sometimes OIS goes wonky in the default camera app when you cycle zoom modes, at least on my phone. It's the main reason I don't use the app full time. I'm a shaky individual.
Not sure how well the Z3Z can get supported with the camera mod, but I'd be willing to test out if it ever came to. The quality is phenomenal to say the least compared to the PixelMaster Camera app. I've tried a bunch of different versions of the app but always come back to Arnova's.
EDIT: Tried cstark's version and the switch trick does work. And the faster initial processing makes this a keeper for now. All that's really missing is the OIS and I'd be a super happy camper.
Arnova's no longer works for me so I've been using cstark's version.
I wonder if we can get OIS and perhaps some autofocus fixes. I find it can be blurry when it auto focuses, but super sharp on a tap.

I ended up switching to cstark's as well. At this point all that's really needed is for the laser autofocus and the rgb sensor to work properly. I remember seeing cstark replying to a zenfone 3 user that he would look into laser autofocus, but I think the rgb sensor might be a lost cause for any camera that isn't stock.
By the way, the 2nd zoom camera doesn't have OIS, so if the stock camera switches to it, (past 2.3x zoom in a well lit environment) things get a lot more shaky.

I still find the Google Camera Mod takes better digital zoom point and click photos than the standard Pixel Master camera and the telephoto lens. ?
What else can we do to get some better device support? I would use the camera full time if the stabilization and focus were fixed. It's near perfect.
Could someone pass me the mod camera link from cstark to ZenFone 3 Zoom, please ?

Do you know guys why Arnova's v8.2 doesn't work with z3z ?
I'm still trying with Arnova's since I found the best result with Arnova's v6. However I want to keep being updated but yeah... am stuck in the v6.
Is there any information about requirements for each version, so I don't need to try those versions brutally one by one?

No clue. Maybe someone can pull a logcat.
I moved again to BSGs/Toylan but I think those are having issues too on newer versions.
If someone was close or had contact with the Devs I'm sure it would end up being great. The sensor in the camera is the same as a Pixel 2 if I recall correctly.
Hello. I am thinking of buying the zenfone 3 zoom. Does the ois still have problem with gcam. Are you talking for photos or video?
Furthermore, are there any low light comparison shots of stock vs gcam?
Things would work much better if there was full Camera2API. ASUS seems to have locked it to limited and the OIS is not exposed to the OS.
Otherwise CStark 4.2t3 has served me well. Enhanced HDR is stunning . Only missing some form of stabilization, but the video trick works.

So if I am getting it right, the OIS does not work while shooting pictures? This is really weird since the ois is not controlled by the camera app. Are you sure that it is not just a viewfinder bug? Did you try shooting without switching to video and got blurry images (i.e. camera shake) ?
Is there any way to full implement api2 by editing build.prop?
I am playing with my asus zenfone for a week. What I find is that the OIS is not a problem for gcam. The real problem is that it has difficulty in auto focusing especially in low light. The circle of focus does not remain steady unless you tap to focus.

Yeap. Here you are. First stock then gcam. In stock camera I have changed some settings (saturation, sharpening, contrast, noise reduction) since the default ones are really bad. The daylight photos of stock camera are Auto mode. The low light are with Manual mode but with all settings at auto (it has more natural results than auto). If you wish you can move the modes at stock and even change the default first mode.

Whether moderators find this a clone, please delete/fix it as they please.
I am using GCam port by Arnova8G2, Pixel3mod v1 and it works great in every aspect (slow motion included), except front camera has a magenta/pink hue in low light when HDR+ is enabled, even if the specific correction option is active.
Anyone having this issue?

You can do this in download the Camera2 Test app and share the device_info file.
this could help me understand the color use for the front camera.

For the OP: Use latest releases and you won't have any issues.
BTW, Just tested latest Arnova's releases (test apks, both Pixel2 and Pixel3) and I think we finally have AIO camera for Mi A1 that produces great shots in all conditions. Also all the options work flawlessly including the slow motion! Now Slow-mo can work without opening stock camera first and then Google Camera. Personally I like more Pixel2Mod, but both are performing great.
For telephoto lens on completely stock phone we still need to use Stock camera, right? Since Gcam doesn't support it? Or I'm mistaken?

Agreed about the recent Arnova's.

I have this issue too, somehow I missed it till now. It occurs on HDR+ off at every photo and HDR+ when taking multiple photos fast. On HDR+ enhanced everything is working fine, but it takes more time to process photos. We are talking about indoor photos with average lightning. Outside on the sun everything works perfect.

I used to have that bug in older versions. Also the opposite one (greenish tint). Sadly, there is no advanced setting to solve it like other devs have implemented.
My favourite version is Serjo87's. Dot issue is present but a lot softer than arnova/bsg/everyoneelse versions. Advanced settings lets adjust colors and noise levels, and also makes brighter pics in poor light conditions than arnova (tested with the older arnova's versions, not that last one).
I hope someday we can have the definitive mod with all the best thing of each dev, compatible with our phone. Meanwhile, I have 4 camera apps installed

Im using it. Mod works PERFECT with cstark's and sipollo's apks. It REALLY uses the second sensor, not faking by zoom (try by coverng one at a time). Only ownside is that using HDR in high bright conditions makes the app crash. If you can live with activating and de-activating HDR depending on light conditions, it gets the job done. The quality that you get in poor light scenes is day and night compared to stock telephoto. Give it a try!!

This doesn't support ZSL
[Correction]
It supports ZSL..But if i select 6p then no ZSL.
Yes you read it correct our long wait is over now. Now we too can enjoy the amazing processing of gcam. Everything works like a charm and there is a significant improvement in the quality. I'm sure this will get better as this is obiously an early build.
And it's not the pixel 2 camera but it's the pixel 3 one!..
Here's what works:
*Portrait mode on both front and back cams(only on humans)
*HDR+, HDR+ enhanced
*Panorama (super glitchy for now)
*And pretty much everything else
*Night mode ( slight improvements only)
*Photo Sphere
Here's what doesn't work:
*Live Google lens
At first the images will look dead.So after you install it you need to increase the saturation. Go to settings , bsg mod settings , saturation and change saturation of front and back cam.
Literally all the credit goes to @xdaakhil for digging this up. If you want to thank someone thank him.
Well my thanks button is down there too ?
Working on :
Honor 9 Lite
Honor 7X
Honor P Smart
Mate 10 Lite
P20 Lite
Honor 6x
keep testing
Edit: video and photos sphere works after changing the default storage to internal. Don't know why it doesn't work with the SD card?
Photo sphere is also very buggy
Photos cannot be clicked without enabling HDR+ or HDR+ enhanced.
There is a pinkish tint on highlights. This can be overcome if you guys focus on the lit(highlights) part by tapping on the viewfinder.
This port can work without root or any modifications.

? Don't know why that happened. Try downloading it again.
To those of you who who don't know why portrait only work on humans:
Gcam doesn't utilise the secondary camera that comes with the device as pixel phones have a single lens setup. The portrait is completely software based. You can check this, cover the secondary lens and click a portrait pic, it'll work!
This is also very useful as we will get good quality blur and edge detection like flagships in our budget phones as the software processing is the same in both apps.
So the camera cannot detect Dept between the subject and background as it only uses one lens.
Hello,
please, tell me, did you find optimal settings of gcam for our phone? Saturation and HDR+? I am testing it but I am not finding the perfect combination yet.

Well im also a bit confused about the perfect match.
But this is what I use:
Pixel 3 as the input method in both front and rear cams(for the super res zoom to work)
Saturation, rear cam highlights 2.7 shadow 2.9
Front cam highlights 2.2 shadow 2.6
Tweak around yourself but I couldn't get the cam to take a picture like it is shown in the viewfinder and the skin tones are better in the viewfinder than the final photo ( the details are far better though)
Thank you Fredin. I will test it.
Been lurking for a while, just registered to say thanks, works nicely the difference is pretty big! Panoramic mode is slow and buggy for me but photosphere does the same thing anyway and works well, lastly, is the RAW picture supposed to look really low resolution like it does for me?

I'm not sure as slow motion recording requires hardware support which our phones dosent have.
Normally phones (including ours) records in 30 or 60 fps which is good for taking normal videos but not for slow-mo recording. All the apps you see in playstore just slows down the fps and processes them to slow the video down, but this causes quality loss and an artificial feel to it.
So I don't think we will be about to get slow motion working.

Yup, its working on my honor 9 lite like boom but 1 thing I would like to ask is that it supports any image stabilisation or not.
So this phone has a Snapdragon processor, meaning that it will be able to install and use Google Camera
I have tried many mods and this one is the best so far (still has a lot of artificial), Night Sight works really great and the image quality is not as soft as on the regular camera app!

3- hdrnet os off becaue ot degrades the quality when enebled but you can eneble and try

For gcam 8 i tried most and they all have issues and the image on gcam 7 always is better
That said i just found one that works good and better than all the other 8 versions
It's AGC8.4.300_V9.3
Download from (make sure you download the one for Samsung specifically AGC8.4.300_V9.3_scan3d)

And attached is my current config file that works fine
I'll update the file once i get everything working
Also attached a compressed file, for the denoise model to a23 sensor specifically, i got it from a dev gdrive but i don't remeber which, so all credit to him
Extract the Ip and In the cam options go to lens settings and go to main and inside you'll find noise model, inside load the *.c file from the extracted folder
Note/ (the attached file has the denoise zip + the config file)
1- top shot doesn't work while hdr is on , hdr has to be off
2- enabling frequent faces will xause the camera to keep crashing, keep it turned off
3- hdrnet os off becaue ot degrades the quality when enebled but you can eneble and try

Sorry I actually messed up a little bit
So the Urnyx works excellent, way better than the stock camera app. I don't know why it makes every photo look so bad. Google Camera just works way better.
Here's some samples from the Urnyx version for anyone who wants more detailed:
However, the Urnyx version may not work really well while in dark areas. Here is an example. I will compare it to the Google Camera version that I posted:
(The darker one is the Urnyx version, the brighter on is the BSG)
The BSG version is brighter, but it also has a lot of noise. It's also way larger.

It's the post processing of the image I think, Samsung didn't spend much time or money on it because it's considered a budget phone
The exact same sensor used on other phones (like Xiaomi) produce much better images

Yeah I think they just try too hard on noise reduction but ended ruining the whole image. These look so soft and don't have many details as I expected. I'm thinking of upgrading to A33 to have better camera experience and good software support but I'm afraid that the photos will just look as bad as on the A23.

I wouldn't recommend a33 over a23
the only good thing about the 33 is the amoled screen, the camera will probably be the same, and the processor is much worse, the A23 has a Snapdragon arm 64 processor,, the A33 has Exynos 1280 and it's only arm not arm64, and most gcams are 64 only so you probably wouldn't be able to even run gcam on 33
if you'll upgrade i would go more up the ladder like A52s
Btw, GCam 8.1 from BSG received some bug fixes since the one linked in the main post. The latest one is MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b. The configs should be compatible.

Do you know why are photos saved in such small resolution (1080×1440 or 1440×1080) instead of 4080×3060 or 3060×4080? I just take a picture with it and it looks so blurry. I have choosen the photo resolution to full resolution but it didn't fix the issues.
Thanks first, I'm just a newbie so I don't know too many things. The config I loaded is the Galaxy A52 since it worked great in the version that I shared.
Here is an example:
The larger one is the version that I posted. The MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b version is the smaller one (blurry). Do you know why and is there any way to fix the issues? Thanks in advance!

Thanks you for your advice. The A52s is really great but in Vietnam is it so expensive it is 2x the price of the A23. Also, it has the same price as the S20 FE.
(The images below are from 2 big retailers in our country, CellphoneS and Thế giới di động, since A52s isn't available in Thế giới di động store and S20FE isn't available in CellphoneS anymore).

No, I don't know why that's happening. Is there any difference in file size between "Identical RAW" and "Full Resolution"? And have you start fresh with the new version (clean app data)? Also, after a clean install, test before loading the config file.
If nothing works, maybe try asking BSG on his thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-mod-google-camera-by-b-s-g.4201665/
@Daybyday_6969 wanted to ask you something off topic ...
does the notification on your a23 wake the screen...
i mean the screen is off and just the small notification comes and screen turns off again.

Hi all,
Did anyone get a stable version of Gcam working on the 13 Pro. GCam Hub does not still have the 13 Pro officially listed so I am guessing that is why I had the issues.
I managed to open the MGC 8.3 version but I features only 2 lenses and is soo slow.
Thanks

This one is the first that works for me without crashing.
But it does not work with the wide-angle lens - it shows in the interface and it reads the data correctly in the settings (it says it is ID 2), but when clicked it shows the main camera view (which is ID 7).
Any other suggestions for a working gcam?
I tried BSG 8.6: MGC_8.6.263_A11_V14 and LMC 8.4 and they both crash.
Camera2Test_All_ID.apk also crashes.

Ok so far working gcams (for me) are:
BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9 - do you have any good config for this??
AGC: AGC8.4.300_V9.5Fix_aweme (from the Telegram group for our phone) - works with latest config from the same group (F(ast)&F(urious)_AGC8.4.9.5FiX) and custom lib (Marin V3) also available there.
LMC: LMC8.4.300 R17 with config (LMC8.4R15_Perfect_Arcide©FF) also from the same group. LMC is still not perfectly stable, sometimes black screen or crash.
All versions you have to follow instructions to load configs quickly after install if the app crashes.
For me there is no real benefit in using gcam at this moment - I prefer punchier colors of stock (even though a bit more yellow than gcams), and better sharpening also.
I wanted to use gcam as I need sometimes better (higher) HDR effect - stock is often too dark and too muted - only BSG (no config so far) gives me this, but with less detail. Please suggest good config if there is one.
Also stock selfi cam gives very muted colors, even outdoors in good light - gcams are not improvement here (all very pink toned) and will have to be adjusted. Coming from another phone, I am quite fed up with optimizing gcam and will stick to stock for now.
Happy shooting and please share your good versions and config for the benefit of all.

Why don't you try different settings yourself and make pictures look better?
It's best to try and learn how different settings change picture quality.

Like I said, I come from a different phone (Motorola edge 20 pro) where I was optimizing gcam parameters for LMC gcam for 7 months straight! I was satisfied in the end, but I am tired of it anymore.
Is there a possibility that I enable the 50MP on my lens without ROOT or MAGISK? Thanks!
